Thank you catbag that is encouraging. And brave! The instructor is very pleased with his progress. He also drove illegally as a teenager apparently and survived Grin I do love a bad boy! The instructor thinks anywhere we are going he should be driving. I will wait until I am out of this wretched boot though, in case he bottles out and I need to take over.

PnT coming today Grin and my Mum has taken the girls to hers for lunch, so I am catching up with Dexter series 2. DH has said no to calling our son after a serial killer (yet Silas is a contender). Probably because Dexter is young and highly attractive (drool).

Catbag · 13/08/2012 11:28

Good for you! I've been working my way through numerous box sets over the last few weeks too Grin

I was so excited when my pushchair came a few weeks ago- I had it up in the lounge for 2 days. My youngest went and got some of her dolls to put in it and then we both had a go at pushing it around, like I was 4 year old too!

Thechick · 13/08/2012 11:48

My goodness, went to catch up on the 6 month thread and there's a brand new one. We can really talk!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 13/08/2012 11:54

All good at the mw apart from the hour wait. Got to have blood taken at my scan next mon.

ShellyBobbs · 13/08/2012 12:38

Doh! Got a letter off my midwife to say sorry I missed my 28 wk appointment and hoped I was OK.... I've actually thought it was in a couple of weeks when I actually was 28 weeks and not last week! Anyway she's made me a new appointment, baby brain anyone?

Baby feels massive and very wriggly rather than kicking me. Am finding it hard to bend down and sleep is totally out of the window now :(

YellowWellies · 13/08/2012 13:16

Oh no Shelley lets hope both our sleep picks up! I love my sleep (why oh why didn't we get a puppy instead....) I also hope the vommers and MSers start to feel better asap - how horrible to get that back.

VQ cheeky feckers 'confusing' their maternity policy. Broken leg = pregnancy related (in whose universe?!!!)

Realised yesterday that we have 99 days to go to due date. Crap, that's really going to fly isn't it. Kinda wishing I could go off and do all of the things I'll not be able to do for ages, but not sure getting wasted, smoking a week's worth of fags in a day, and going backpacking is recommended when updiffed. Damnit.

Swiss hope I didn't sound harsh earlier (I know I frequently do being a total gobshite!) - what you wrote just reminded me a wee bit of friends and it's so important to stand up for yourself now as you'll not be able to try to claw back later if DH gets used to more space and fewer chores.

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2012 13:22

Pram here and they could have easily sold it as new! Only trace of use is a bit of mud on the wheel and the handlebar, but absolutely perfect! So very pleased! DH approves too. Wonder what he wants?

shelly at least you got a letter from your MW! I have not seen anyone for 8 weeks, but have got an appt for Thurs.

NervousAt20 · 13/08/2012 13:30

Glad your pleased with your pram valium

StuntNun · 13/08/2012 13:32

I think my boobs have got bigger again, my bra feels very tight. Please don't tell me I need to buy bras again, I thought my next ones would be nursing bras but won't my boobs shrink again once breast feeding is established?

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2012 13:39

I was really worried about the pram as the last one I saw was so awful I said to the lady I did not want it. Not so easy when they kindly delivered a 'local pick-up only' item due to my incapacity, having held it for four weeks for me.

DebussyHead · 13/08/2012 13:59

You are all so organised looking at reusable nappies and getting prams delivered! I have done nothing!

I had a really bad weekend sleep wise. Am 27+5 weeks and think baby maybe had a growth spurt over the weekend. Could not eat dinner on sat night as feel soo full (even having hardly eaten anything) and then heart burn kicks in and on sat night I felt nauseaous with it too and ended up projectile vomitting after eating some scrambled egg and toast (sorry TMI). Can not get comfy at night - lying on back, side etc v uncomfortable therefore not much sleep. I slept better last night but this morning am shattered and feel so low energy could sleep at my desk. Also just had lunch (soup and one slice toast) and again feel like I have eaten a banquet and soooooooo uncomfortable now like my stomach is all squished and I need to stand up to make more room.

Sorry am making no sense...is anyone else suffering with this discomfort after food?

Chunkychicken · 13/08/2012 15:11

I bought some yellow newborn babygros from Primark today Blush. Not sure why, when have lots of neutral stuff from DD and if baby is a she, we have LOTS of girly stuff, & if baby is a boy, we'll have enough to last before the gift avalanche begins need to go shopping. Still, they are lovely bright yellow colours & in a newborn size (think I only had 0-3 in brights for DD & white/beige in NB).

Really HAVE to stop spending money!!!

horseylady · 13/08/2012 15:21

Just booked at 4d scan. A bit worried as the guy sounded like a bit of a pervert (does someone want to call him lol) but the reviews are all very good.

Hopefully will be ok

DebussyHead · 13/08/2012 15:44

Horsey I had a 4D scan with DC1, they are amazing and so exciting to see their wee face! Wont do it with this one as cant afford to get a second one but was really pleased I did with DC1. You will love it!

DesperateHousewife21 · 13/08/2012 15:49

debussy I'm starting to get v uncomfy after eating, esp my eve meal. It hurts at the top of my bump under my boobs and sometimes feel hugely bloated all evening even though I've only eaten half my dinner.

Also wore jeans today and have been absolutely BOILING all day. Just got home now and took them off. It's not sunny here but still 23 degrees and my temperature seems to shoot up during pregnancy.

NervousAt20 · 13/08/2012 15:56

debussy I have that sometimes always when in having a really nice dinner and just feel so full that I can't eat anything and afterwards feel stretched like there's just not enough space

horsey when are you having your scan? Mine was amazing and im so so glad we had it done we were both really impressed and was lovely to see wriggly toes and LO trying to suck them Grin

An app I have says 83 days left!

DebussyHead · 13/08/2012 15:56

Glad its not just me then with the discomfort. Know what you mean about being roasting hot too DH21 I have had the fan on at work all morning and think it is pissing off my colleagues a few of whom have mentioned the noise. But I am so hot! Its been raining all day too but still a bit muggy. I love getting home after work and whipping of my tights and clothes and putting some loose PJ bottoms and a vest on.

CandyPop · 13/08/2012 16:11

VQ i had random ms last week for 3 days on a trot and then it went...weird?!

aiyayi... one of my fears is this little girl turns out to be a little boy! i'm indifferent to having a boy or a girl, but have started to buy pink stuff. Although i have booked in a 4d scan for next week. Ah i cant wait to see her face but more importantly to make sure its a girl!

i'm been thinking about hospital bag too..... what should i pack?! Any of the more organised ladies out there already got a list they dont mind sharing? Grin

YellowWellies · 13/08/2012 16:21

I've put a hospital list on Facebook - on my big xls listy thing (first sheet) just look at the bottom section of the page. It's got a complete list of everything gleaned from other MNers lists - but I'm yet to sense check it past my sister which I'm going to do this weekend as I'm sure lots of it will be irrelevent.

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2012 16:25

I need to do my bag. Not compiled a list yet either.

DesperateHousewife21 · 13/08/2012 17:00

I haven't got a list yet, I was thinking in my head when I hit 30 weeks and it's sort of the countdown then I'll do a list and make sure I've bought it all by then.
Then ill start packing it all into a bag, glad dh has big holdalls!

CandyPop · 13/08/2012 17:01

ah i'm so lazy, riding on the back of the more organise peeps :)

i just realised i had a whole big packet of cheeseballs to myself... thats 800 calories Blush oops!

Chunkychicken · 13/08/2012 17:03

Hoping to not have to do the hospital thing at all, so not rushing to do the bag. I figure if things go a bit tits up, and need to go in early, baby won't be in newborn size clothes then & the last thing I'll care about is whether I have lip balm. As I get closer, I'll pack a just-in-case-of-transfer bag & an overnight bag for DD.

CandyPop · 13/08/2012 17:16

oh have you guys seen the Tommie Tippee back to nature starter pack? comes with sterilizer, bottles, different size teats, bottle warmers all for £69?! I thought thats pretty good no?

However the tommie tippee breast pump doesnt have great reviews so wanted to get the Medela swing....
do you think it would be annoying to have two different brands? i'm guessing the breast pump will only that medela bottles? or is it not a big deal?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 13/08/2012 17:22

I brought some newborn nappies and wipes today (disposables) and a couple of dummies in case we want/need them.

I'm also going to make a whole load of dribble bibs in funky fabrics, mainly because I have a ton of fabric and they take about 3 minutes to knock up and are way nicer than the ones you get in the shops! Grin

I just need some Muslins for sick attacks and I use them as cover ups while bfing in public. I will probably die them though, I'm not a fan of pastels, can you tell? Wink

Then it's just a baby monitor we need to get and we're all done!
