Does hoovering at half 7 on a Sunday morning count as nesting!? Been up for 3 hours - mainly because I had to take dh to work, despite being on leave he's covering a few extra days so we'll be quids in by the end of the week - reckon being pregnant has altered my body clock as I've been wide awake at 6am every day for about 2 weeks. Most unlike me - I never used to be a morning person!

So far this morning I've cleaned the kitchen, hoovered all of downstairs, done two loads of washing and made pancake batter!

My 17 year old sister ended up staying with us last night as apparently her and my mum have been at each other's throats all week. Can't see it personally because my sister is so laid back compared with me but she practically begged us to let her crash last night! When's a socially acceptable time to go and wake her up so we can have brekkie while it's still sunny?! I seem to have totally forgotten what it was like to be a teenager - need to keep resisting the urge to roll my eyes at her and tell her to grow up lol!!!

horseylady · 19/08/2012 09:33

Sorry to hear all your woes :( I'm ok at the moment, a but tired but think it's more from working too much and beingon my feet all day thananything else.

I bought tt bottles, steriliser (microwave), the angel monitor and some nappies for just over £100 in boots the other day. Thought it was a bargain!!

Looking forward to our scan now :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 19/08/2012 09:56

V tired here too, got up to go to the loo at 5:15 and ds woke up so have been awake since then.

Went back to bed at half 8 for an hour because I couldnt stop yawning, it's alot more tiring this time round, I slept all the time when preg with ds. I don't have low iron or anything I just feel shattered.

Baby is having a good thump around in there atm too, but the more she moves the better. I'm so worried her movements will reduce and I won't notice. The threads on mn have made me anxious!

ValiumQueen · 19/08/2012 10:10

DD2 was awake at 4. She fell asleep on my head so she is fine, but I did not get any more sleep. DH said he could not take her back to her bed as he is at work this morning. How did I cope all those years when it was me that got up??? And worked full time??? He is working three hours. Still, she kept kicking him in the head so he did not sleep much either Grin it is amazing how much space a small person can take up.

Football yesterday was tough. It was so hot and uncomfortable. Didn't help that the seats are plastic and made the backs of my legs literally drip with sweat. I don't think I'll be doing that again in a hurry.

My brother text me this morning asking if I want to go to the beach with him but after yesterday I just want to stay at home. If I'm out all day again today I will feel like I haven't had a weekend.

Glad it's not just me that's fed up of being pregnant already. I feel a bit guilty about it seeing as we tried for this baby for so long. It's not very long ago that I was in tears nearly every day because I was so desperate to be pregnant and now I am I'm complaining about it. Need to count my blessings.

Eid Mubarak brockle Smile

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/08/2012 12:19

I am fed up with being pregnant too, I usually enjoy it so much but the heat is horrible, I am hoping that I will feel better once it cools down.

Congrats on your weddingcatbag, I am sure you will enjoy your special day, particularly if it cools down.

I never get a new pot and it never gets emptied. When I lived in Warwickshire it always got emptied and I always got given a new pot. Grrr. It irritates me also.

NervousAt20 · 19/08/2012 12:32

fatima I've got the TT manual breast pump and I got like a starter pack I think it was and in that it includes a few bottles and a sterilizer for the breast pump

I'm sure on your wedding you will feel beautiful and everyone will look at you and think it too catbag congratulations and I really hope you have a lovely day

Are we having a rise in hormones or something does anyone know? Im
So moody at the minute and very easily annoyed sure it's not all hormones and some is DP but I haven't had mood swings or anything like that throughout this pregnancy but this last week it seems like I've just been moody and pissed off for most of it Sad

ValiumQueen · 19/08/2012 12:54

I think it must be a surge in hormones as MS is back, and hormone related. the hot weather aggravates it, and we are all getting to the point when our bumps are getting in the way and preventing us from doing things. Add that to a countdown before mat leave, and general anxiety growing about impending birth, finances, being a parent etc, plus the fecking piss bottles!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/08/2012 13:06

Yep, I think hormones are indeed back with avengence! Poor old DH he puts up with a lot!

Yes vq and the piss pots! Grin

NervousAt20 · 19/08/2012 13:12

Sad I thought I had a lucky escape

Damn those pots Angry valium

kissyfur · 19/08/2012 13:19

I don't get a new pot every time but it does get emptied, rinsed and wrapped in tissue for me to take home.

I'm sure you will look beautiful on your wedding day catbag Smile hope you enjoy your special day

I am feeling a bit hormonal and fed up of the hot weather too, DD woke me up by sleep talking at about 2:30am and I couldn't get back to sleep cos it was soooooo hot. Hoping for a big thunderstorm to come and clear away the humidity.

I am the same with worrying I won't notice reduced movements dh21 there seems to have been so much in the press/on Facebook lately about tragedies happening with unborn babes, I have to avoid reading anything on MN about it as I already find myself going over and over things in my mind about something like that happening. Pg is such a worrying time. Can't wait for baby to be here safely!

WaitingForMe · 19/08/2012 14:09

Phew, go on holiday for a week and you have a whole thread without me!

I'm loving being pregnant now. I look huge and have looked big for ages - yesterday my hypnobirthing teacher (who is a midwife) said it's because I'm not very tall. I have a short body (long legs) and it makes sense the baby has to go somewhere. I rather like feeling like a waddling cow and am enjoying doing things like laundry.

Baby is always moving. In the middle of the week he pushed so hard my belly button turned inside out. It was one of the most amazing (but also one of the creepiest) things I've seen. Sure PGP and sciatica are unpleasant but I'm just loving it.

Going to watch The Midwives now I've caught up. As we're doing hypnobirthing I see why the word contraction is avoided. Being a Yorkshire lass I also call a spade a spade (can't remember who said that) but I can see the benefit in creating a vocabulary. DH and I have a shorthand that makes me feel special and loved and I like that using imagery and terminology for the birth reinforces our bond as we prepare.

I'm such a hippie now I'm pregnant! My dress is even cheesecloth and I'm in bare feet.

I so had me down as an epidural girl when we started all this Grin

Peaky1 · 19/08/2012 14:20

At the risk of being slammed for being a princess mcsmuggins...I'm quite cheerful! Got a bad back that has been particularly annoying me today and it's boilin'ell but I'm doing alright at 29 weeks. However, I get fresh pee pots. Maybe this is the key to our happiness...

Peaky1 · 19/08/2012 14:24

Waiting - my thoughts exactly on the hypnobirthing. Whatever helps is fine by me!

JaffaSnaffle · 19/08/2012 14:33

Hi, I know I am very late, but could I join you guys please? I am due on 6 November, with my second DD.

ValiumQueen · 19/08/2012 14:33

Grin peaky

WaitingForMe · 19/08/2012 14:37

Ah but I'm having to reuse my pee pot peaky. Between that and the Tena lady I'm just smiling through the wee Wink

Peaky1 · 19/08/2012 15:05

Hiya Jaffa!

Lol Valium are you smiling or baring your teeth?

ValiumQueen · 19/08/2012 15:08

Laughing peaky

jaffa sorry, completely missed your post. Hello!

ValiumQueen · 19/08/2012 15:10

waiting my bladder is awful. I am considering borrowing DD2s washables, which by the way have not leaked at all!!!!!

JaffaSnaffle · 19/08/2012 15:18

Hello!

I have to take my pee pot away with me too. It's grim.

But right now, my baby has hiccups, it's very cute so all is well!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/08/2012 15:22

Can I be pee pot fairy then?

Welcome jaffa as you can see madness has set inGrin

SwissArmyWife · 19/08/2012 16:09

My theory is, that as you get closer to the end of your pregnancy, it's completely natural to feel fed up - I think it helps you get through the birth. If we didn't have the "get this bloody child out of me" attitude, we wouldn't really work as hard during labour, would we?

That's just my theory anyway Grin

It's too hot, I don't like it, I want rain. Sulk.

StuntNun · 19/08/2012 17:01

Can I just add that I have no desire to be PeePotNun Grin
