ooow, we're in Manly :) I love it!

See this www.mummasmate.com.au/swiss-strolli-rider.html they just had it on the tv, looks fab.

Catbag · 17/08/2012 11:24

DH21 I hereby give you permission to stuff your face Grin I've an upturn in appetite this last week- it's my first of this pregnancy (I really haven't eaten much more than I did before I was pregnant) and it's coincided with a desire for sweet and fatty foodstuffs! It's a bit disheartening to be craving Refreshers at this stage when I've been sooo good with my diet up until now ( earlier cravings have included avocadoes, chick peas and lentils).

Catbag · 17/08/2012 11:26

Pasties That is one cool contraption! Don't fancy pushing it up the hills around here though :o

ShellyBobbs · 17/08/2012 11:41

Catbag All I've been eating is fruit and veg up until this week, now I'm craving sugar :( Can feel the weight piling on...........

What about tinned fruit for a mid morning snack?

applepieinthesky · 17/08/2012 11:44

I have a banana or some biscuits for a mid morning snack. I had been having bags of crisps but have stopped that because I don?t want to pile too much weight on.

Catbag · 17/08/2012 11:46

I would think tinned fruit would be ok Shelley.... just remember to brush your teeth reeeaaally well Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 17/08/2012 11:47

Ugh I'm having a bit of a dilemma in regards to what to wear for bump pictures! I have a plain black wrap dress I made that I'm going to take but she asked for 2 outfits, I only have maternity jeans or leggings and a few day to day tops, what does a 5ft chunk wear to look nice in pictures?!

Thechick · 17/08/2012 11:49

It's the last day of my 2 weeks off from work and I'm exhausted. Ds has a friend round so I'm just resting in my room whilst they are doing their thing. I feel bad as its my last day off and won't be having a solid block of time off until maternity in October and had so many plans and it just hasn't happened, including starting to sort out baby's room. I just want to sleep.

If any of you guys live near Croydon, Alders is closing down and I bought a pair of mama's and papa's jeans for £15 reduced from £50. They had baby clothes as well.

Chunkychicken · 17/08/2012 11:52

Can you dress up the day to day tops with jewellery Tits??

Just received the funky giraffe bibs I ordered as a present for my friend's little girl. Very happy with them - reduced price for ordering multiples, arrived this morning despite only ordering them 24hrs ago, & are very thin (whilst looking absorbant) and much better than other bandana dribble bibs I've had for DD. If this baby is a dribbler, shall be ordering LOTS of these (although will check with friend on actual use!!).

ValiumQueen · 17/08/2012 11:57

Birthday suit tits ? Or a sheet strategically placed? I thought you meant nude actually.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 17/08/2012 12:19

Lol a lot of the shoots she's done are nude ones with materials and flowers placed but I'm not sure I'm brave enough for that one! Smile I want a few close up bump shots and I might paint something on it or put a pair of the tiny shoes we have on there just for cheese factor! Smile

I wouldn't normally have a photo shoot done for anything but she is my friend and is starting out and DP would like them done for the memories, plus this is likely to be the last so I figure I should mark it in some way! I'm hoping she can photoshop out the stretch marks and my spots Grin

georgee · 17/08/2012 13:46

Hi all

You've probably forgotten me (I missed the last thread completely) but have been skimming to see what everyone's been up to and how they've been feeling. Sorry about the redundancy stuff that's been happening and the lack of fairness in promotions etc. I was made redundant in my last maternity leave and have freelanced since (I'm an editor/proofreader). If we were relying on my salary we would be completely stuck but although DH's not a big earner, we can survive on what he brings in, for now. What I earn is just enough for groceries, no more than that really. I agree that it's pretty common to be passed over/dropped (although they won't tell you why) when pregnant/a young mum/even of childbearing age. I see so many wonderful talented women who just can't find a way back into work having left it ... it's pretty frustrating and I'm amazed nothing is done about it.

On another note (and theme), another one here with a very fussy DD when it comes to eating. May start the 'you don't eat this, you don't eat at all' - at the moment we give her toast just to make sure she has something inside her if she refuses what I've given, but this probably isn't the best idea, reading what you've all said!

News from here is we're moving house next Friday, I'm hoping not to do any lifting at all but we'll see how we go. Just in time for the third trimester, hopefully we'll get most of the unpacking done by the time the baby is here.

Second piece of news is that I've decided to go for a VBAC - anyone else? Surprise decision. EMCS last time but I had got to 9cm and when I saw the consultant a couple of weeks ago she said that DD was trying to come out face first which no-one had made clear to me at the time, so it all makes sense and I'm hopeful that I'll be able to give it a good go this time ... as long as I'm not induced (that's where things started to go pearshaped last time). So when the time comes it'll be long walks, pineapple, sex, curries ... the works!

Hope the photoshoot goes well today Tits Smile.

Thechick · 17/08/2012 14:10

I'm going for a vbac. I had a meeting with a consultant too last week and she told me ds was back to back and I got to 10cm but ds just wasn't coming out. Even if it ends in a emcs I still want to try.

kissyfur · 17/08/2012 14:19

Your last birth story sounds just like mine georgee (induced, got to 9 cms then EMCS as DD got stuck) I only found out it was because she was back to back when I saw my consultant again for this pg, wish they had told me that b4! I am having an ELCS this time but that's cos of other health reasons. If I could have a VBAC I would, or at least try for one Smile

Chunkychicken · 17/08/2012 14:20

I know its far from guaranteed, but if it was down to baby's position, you can do things to encourage baby into the right place can't you? Then, you both might have a better chance of getting the VBAC you want, rather than an EMCS. Not that I'm an expert or anything obviously!!!

Zara1984 · 17/08/2012 14:44

Hello everyone!! I am officially on the October 2012 thread but just thought I'd drop in and wave hello to you ladies because I'm due 26 October.... I have the feeling I'll be seeing you all on a Baby Eviction thread sometime in late October/early November when everyone on my October thread has already given birth Grin

27, DC1 (a boy), 30 weeks today! :)

georgee · 17/08/2012 14:52

Thanks guys - and really interesting to hear your story kissyfur, yes very similar to me! - it was definitely a positioning thing last time, the thing was I'm not sure she was in a bad position to begin with, with the induction I was just so suddenly overwhelmed by contractions all on top of each other I ended up on my back out of it (on diamorphine) for ages and ages (19 hour labour overall) and I think that's what did it. I think it was half a dose too much gel which made me contract a bit too quickly and violently! (It was the third dose by then.) But of course they can't reverse that once they've put it in. This time they'd use a drip (which they can stop at least) but I still don't want to risk it! They'll let me go to 10-12 days overdue (6-8 days overdue by my dates) so I'm really hoping that will give the baby a chance to come on its own.

I'm quite excited just at the prospect of trying though. It really will be so exciting when the babies start arriving won't it! Hurrah for us! Smile Will be so interested to find out how you get on thechick - best of luck and keep me posted!

georgee · 17/08/2012 14:53

Ooh and hello Zara!

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/08/2012 15:01

I eat a fair bit of fruit anyway so wanted to steer clear of the sugar in them. I ended up having one slice of toast and marmite.

Hello zara hope you don't go too late and get your oct baby, I really hope I don't go into dec but its unlikely.

tits wear a bikini! (joking) umm have you got a tunic you can wear with leggings or a long top? Prob irrelevant now as you've most likely had them done!

Hi Zara You never know, hopefully baby will come on time! Mine is due 16th November so could be as early as Halloween or as late as December. Really hope it?s not December.

27 weeks today woohoo! Everyone is saying how quick it?s going but I disagree. Feels like I?ve been pregnant forever.

horseylady · 17/08/2012 16:33

Really it's going soooooo fast!!!! It's flying by!!!

Been at a horse show the last two days and camping!! Apart from the night wees it's not been too bad. Prob a bit too much walking round in my very heavy walking boots but it's all good!!

29 weeks, defo final countdown. Were supposed to eat more now?! I didn't know that?

Sorry to read about job losses etc shit timing!!

applepieinthesky · 17/08/2012 16:36

Only 300 calories a day I think in the third trimester.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 17/08/2012 16:39

I wore a black wrap dress on a black back ground, I originally said I didn't want and full body shots but she did a couple and after seeing the horror that is my up close midriff I opted for the full ones Blush
She asked if I wanted nudey ones but I declined pretty damn quick. Grin

Back to slimming world as soon as little one is here and erm a tan is needed, i'm soooo pale!

ValiumQueen · 17/08/2012 16:47

300calories extra, not just 300
