Did you actually show up in a black dress on a black background??? I can imagine just your face and hands and not much else! I am sure they are lovely, and look forward to seeing them on FB

TitsalinaBumSquash · 17/08/2012 16:51

Well I hope so! The lighting is all done professionally and the photos will be in black and white so hopefully they'll come out ok! Smile

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/08/2012 17:22

Cant wait to see them, def put them up on the fb group!

horseylady · 17/08/2012 17:25

Vq thanks!! Was thinking eek how do you survive on that?! It's about two slices of toast!!

NervousAt20 · 17/08/2012 17:55

Congratulations to your sister jaylee

shelly I love the name Effie for a girl

donna they sound like the Calcium tablets I've been given but I can't take them, they make me feel so sick afterwards

Glad everything is okay yellow

Hope everything works out the way you want it too rowing

Had my MW appointment Wednesday and they told me that when they took my bloods the tube was a month out of date so the lab said it needs to be done again Angry I almost cried in there! My arm is still stupidly bruised from last time so they've given me some cream to use to numb the area so fingers crossed that works!

Read that a few people are struggling with sleep, it's crap isn't it! I can't remember the last time I slept well but come 4 I'm dead on my feet and the minute I get into bed my head goes into over loads and hips and back start to ache more Sad

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

NervousAt20 · 17/08/2012 17:58

My mattress arrived today and I'm abit disappointed, it's nothing like the one I picked out in the shop, alot thinner and feel abit conned paying almost £100 and it's nothing like what was advertised! That started my bad mood off and then to add to it I really wanted a jacket spud so went to 3 shops I wanted beef on it not chicken!!!! I still couldn't get what I wanted soo it's jacket spuds for dinner tonight Grin

ValiumQueen · 17/08/2012 18:01

nervous can you return it? At that price you need to be happy. Perhaps they sent the wrong one?

NervousAt20 · 17/08/2012 18:07

I'm hoping it is the wrong one, they said I can return it as long as the wrapping is still on so in going to have a look tonight and if it's not what I want take it back tomorrow, dont want to have to start looking around again though :( takes me ages to pick something and make a decision

ValiumQueen · 17/08/2012 18:09

They can look different ' in the flesh' but you still need to be happy with it. Although inconvenient, it would be best to return it if not happy, otherwise you may always regret it.

ShellyBobbs · 17/08/2012 18:14

Thanks nervous, although hubby still doesn't like it but he's picked a boys name so tough Grin I wouldn't accept the mattress either, get them to pick it back up and send you the same one you ordered or your money back.

NervousAt20 · 17/08/2012 18:19

If it was just abit different then I would think oh well it's just one of them things but just a bit peeved that they have samples in the shop for you to see and feel then mine is completely different but we shall see tonight Grin

NervousAt20 · 17/08/2012 18:20

Damn phone didn't mean to submit then..
Grin shelly I wish I agreed that with DP before we found out the sex but haven't got a chance of convincing him now

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/08/2012 18:44

I love the name Effie.

We STILL haven't exchanged contracts on the house after accepting the offer at the end of May! I am about to have a nervous breakdown and DH said he wants to put th house back on the market. That's easy for him to say, he doesn't have to get it ready for viewings at a moments notice when 6 months pregnant with a Job and a toddler.Angry

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/08/2012 18:44

We're collecting our buggy tomorrow yay! Can't wait to get it up and play around with it.
Also got to see mil and do the food shopping.
Then on sun we're going to the beach with my parents, there's a fair/ regatta type thing going on so that should be good.

Bit worried about the heat, it's meant to be around 30 degrees and I'm starting to flag a bit when walking around now.

Dixiebell · 17/08/2012 18:53

Anyone due at end of Nov hoping to hold out for 12/12/12? Would be a cool birthdate! I'm EDD 27/11 (although 4/12 by my dates), so could just about make it! DS was due end of Sept 2010 and I was hoping for 10/10/10 but ended up coming on 4/10/10. However by that point did just want it over with ratger than hanging on for another week for tge sake of a cool birthdate.

Been to Peppa Pig World today. It was hell. Didn't think ride queues would be so long, DS just cried during tge whole queue, 2 min ride, then resumed crying when we had yo get off. £48 quid for DH and I and we managed about 4 rides!!

NervousAt20 · 17/08/2012 18:55

I know someone who's baby is due on 12/12/12 Grin

ValiumQueen · 17/08/2012 19:01

DD1 was due on 6/6/6. Not quite so desirable. I kept my legs crossed and she was born in the 6 th minute of 15/6/6. I have a bit of a thing about numbers, and as 1+5=6, it is pretty much as bad Grin

Chunkychicken · 17/08/2012 19:38

I want baby to come a bit early on 11/11 (I know, sad date) as I'm 1st, DH 31st & DD is 21st!! One more & its 'bingo'!! Grin

We got the mothercare sprung cotbed mattress and its really good nervous but they might have changed it since 2010. I would check it & send it back if you don't feel happy with it though.

daisychain76 · 17/08/2012 20:27

Sorry to hear the bad news about redundancies, etc. I used to work in law and it was well known that any woman who wanted to ensure they got ahead in their career waited until they'd been made a partner (and were therefore fairly untouchable) before they fell pregnant. Sad to read it seems to be the same in a lot of different fields.

I want baby to come on due date so its 10/11/12, but didn't make it that far with either of the last pregnancies, so seems unlikely.

MissMummy1 · 17/08/2012 20:37

I'm due 29th/30th so could probably JUST hold out till 12.12.12 - I have a thing about numbers and symmetry so that works for me :-) Shame it would scupper DHs plans to spend christmas in n ireland with his folks...

We've not even thought about matresses, what would you all recommend??

Fairly eventful day here. DH dropped a microwave on his head this morning (long story but we managed to avoid a and e and he's fine). I managed to get myself a new client this afternoon so mighty chuffed with myself :-) only 2 hours a week but thats more than plenty and they're paying me royally for it so relieves some initial money worries.

Kyzordz · 17/08/2012 20:50

I wouldn't mind baby coming on his due date either, mine is 10/11/12 which sounds cool! 28 weeks tomorrow, and I keep having awful nightmares about labour. He's my first and obviously I knew it would need to happen but it's feeling more real every day and I dont think I realised before how nervous I am! I can't wait to meet him but it's still a scary thought ATM

Catbag · 17/08/2012 20:52

Ok Miss Mummy, not letting you get away with that one- how on EARTH does someone drop a microwave on their own head?! And congrats on the new client :)

kirrinIsland · 17/08/2012 21:01

I'm due on the 7th but was hoping for 10/11/12 as well!

MissMummy1 · 17/08/2012 21:01

Haha he was apparently attempting to put it on a shelf in the garage (its just the spare we keep on the boat) and somehow managed to hit the open button sending the glass dish crashing down on his head. Glass everywhere. For once hormonal grumpy woman was not even in the same room so couldn't be blamed. A few paracetamols and half an hour of sitting with frozen curly chips on his head and he's good as new. Thank god i didnt need to explain it to any medics!!

Evilwater · 17/08/2012 21:36

Well I finally braved the scales, I've gone from 63 to 71. When this kid is out, exercise and going back to pre baby weight is a must! And if I happen to Lose a bit more even better.

I've tidied up my baby pile and put it away. Yay! Not much to get now, only the day to day stuff.

I'm so sorry to hear about all these problems with employers.
