Woo hoo Jojo

I keep looking at the ante-natal thread as the May one should be appearing soon which means we are another step closer :)

confuddledDOTcom · 23/08/2012 13:51

Just unlucky to have lots of random things going on. I only do it once a day, my previous pregnancies have writen off my legs and bum, it's very unusual now to find a good spot there, but the upside to having sections is the nice roll from hip to hip that I can use easily, although could do with a bruise or two to clear up!

Tramp, not sure what's going to get him done! I can hope that that will but... i don't know what's going on with him. His father was like this with his mother, she was ill after having four babies and the doctor said she had to be sterilised but he refused to consent (how bad is it that women need their husband's consent but a mana can get the snip if he wants?) the doctor took him aside, apparantly, and had to threaten him to get him to agree.

Do you know what I'm finding boggling? I've only just found out I@m pregnant and I'll be having it in just over 4 months!

dameflamingo · 23/08/2012 13:53

Congrats jojo

sarah what a dreadful woman.... I bet she has worms!!! And no friends. I'm sure your scan will be fine and after the worry, hopefully an uplifting experience.

I just got back from mine and all is well, feel relieved and exhausted now but mainly elated.

theTramp · 23/08/2012 14:35

Confud - crikey, 4 months!

What a shame your other Hal can't walk a mile in your shoes. He'd be at the doctors faster than you could click your fingers.

theTramp · 23/08/2012 14:36

Half that should read. (sigh)

confuddledDOTcom · 23/08/2012 14:55

The crazy thing is before we knew I was pregnant he stopped in the middle of sex and lay back on the bed, took me a second to figure out he was upset (he doesn't ever cry, even when our daughter died he tried not to) and asked why and he said he was scared I was pregnant and didn't want to put me through all that again. He knows how bad pregnancy is, he's scared of it happening but it's like he's more scared of the snip!

shieldbug · 23/08/2012 15:09

jojo congratulations! Great news.

confuddled and sarah and zoey you guys are amazing coping with all your health problems and being pg. Seriously, you are inspirational.

Got to cuddle my new nephew yesterday- he's just gorgeous and it was a lovely reminder of what we've got to come.

Still slogging away at the write-up. I got a bit carried away on the last chapter so I need to try to edit out a couple of thousand words. eek.

Rainbowbabyhope · 23/08/2012 15:20

Feel for all you ladies out there having injections. My daily heparin injections have turned out not to be too bad thanks to my lovely DH who has learnt how to inject me and we sing while he does it to distract me! I hate them especially as we are having them 'just in case' rather than for any specific reason but it has turned out not to be too horrible. Although I won't be wearing a bikini any time soon!

KFFOREVER · 23/08/2012 15:32

Congrats JoJo.

I too feel for all of you who are having daily injections. Sounds horrible. You are all superwomen.

confuddledDOTcom · 23/08/2012 16:13

I think they're only hard for me because it's the 4th time, it seems to be harder each time. I don't know what it's done but areas that were once easy to get them in now resist. Is anyone who takes having to have an induction to avoid labouring within 12 hours? I can't have an epidural anyway because my back is too badly damaged but I'll probably be in hospital anyway so if they think I'm close they won't give me one and if I have to have a section it'll be a GA anyway.

I don't think about any of it, shield. I live with Raynauds and PGP, so I'm used to that, I haven't had TIAs since I've been diagnosed (although I think I may have had a small one early on before I knew I was pregnant) injections aren't pleasant but it's once a day, takes a couple of seconds. I've never had a pregnancy where I don't have about 30 scans, so it's normal to me. Probably the hardest bit is the irritable uterus because I never know if this is it and spend 11 weeks waiting to see if it slows down this time and trying to decide if I should go in. I don't even mind premature babies because as long as I get past 30 weeks I'm happy.

zoeymlucas · 23/08/2012 16:59

Well my trousers are going to super tight tomorrow and its nothing to do with baby its all FOOD!!! Had a macdonalds for lunch and managed to pursuade 9 other people to get one so I didnt look like a piggy all by myself cunning

Then have just remembered am going out for dinner with my friends tonight and its the place that does the AMAZING banoffee waffles - so lets hope I feel hungry soon as am still stuff to the brim.

Need the next week to hurry up so can be 12 weeks and see my little bean again :) Then its 2 weeks till op and 2 weeks after that to can find out the sex :) and should start feeling proper kicks around then too which I cant wait for, After that its the count down to 24 weeks, am determined to enjoy this pregnacy as much and as long as possible as its defo my last

Shield am jealous of new baby snuggles, did you smell him and feel you womb glow or do butterflys or is that just me Hmm

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 23/08/2012 18:06

Am way behind but Envy at those having scans, seems ages until 31 October!

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 23/08/2012 18:07

Actually it is , 11 weeks [impatient]

backwardpossom · 23/08/2012 18:22

Massive congrats to Jojo on passing your exam! Well done lady! Grin

I've just unbuttoned my work trousers as they're ridiculously tight around the waist. I did dig out a pair of maternity ones this morning but didn't feel brave enough to put them on... Might have to at this rate. I feel huge!

Sheldonella · 23/08/2012 18:50

Well done JoJo!

possom I've had to do that when I've been wearing jeans in my car. I keep worrying I will forget I've done it, get out of the car and they will fall down :)

Wine report - just bought some alcohol free white wine from Waitrose. It was the most expensive one they did but it isn't bad. I don't know if it's just me getting desperate but I'm actually quite enjoying it. Torres Natureo I think it is called. Not too sweet, and quite wine-like. It certainly smells convincing. I described it to DH as a "dissapointing pub wine", like when you really fancy a nice dry glass but it is sweeter than you would have liked. Right now this tastes pretty good to me :)

Sheldonella · 23/08/2012 19:11

Hmm, it gets sweeter as you drink it. Not sure now.

tedmundo · 23/08/2012 19:23

To all of you taking (and passing .. Congrats jojo) exams, writing a thesis, holding down jobs, functioning in polite adult society and basically doing anything more demanding than playing Uno, HATS OFF!!

I am a shell of a woman .. Sick, tired, shaky, dizzy. I truly do not know how you all do it and I am seriously impressed.

The health issues some of you face on a daily basis though is a wake up call for me to stop moaning and feeling sorry for myself. You are ALL amazing.

I have got the answer to the wine problem, .. about an inch of the proper stuff!!! A taste is keeping the cravings at bay.

And talking about cravings, I have the most cruel craving of them all ... BRIE!

JoJoBella84 · 23/08/2012 19:31

Hi ladies. I've spent the afternoon in bed and have just enjoyed a tasty curry :) mmm yum!!!
possom I too find myself unbuttoning jeans and finding any excuse to live in my leggings!!
zoey banoffee waffles? Drool :)

Sorry I can't track back any further (still using my phone) desperately need the Internet back on in the flat :)

I hope everyone is fine, no major issues :)

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 23/08/2012 19:45

Tedmundo- thought some brie is pasturised and therefore ok?

tedmundo · 23/08/2012 19:48

... President?? Is that one pasteurised?? I have some in the fridge winking at me.

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 23/08/2012 19:51

Although I've just googled to check and it talks about the mould so more unsure now.
Cooked is definately ok though?

tedmundo · 23/08/2012 19:53

harriet .. Come here so I can give you a big, wet snog!!! .

Just checked the pack and it does indeed say made from pasteurised milk. now have scoffed a HUNK of it.

tedmundo · 23/08/2012 19:55

Oh. Oh well! It is scoffed now and actually I feel so much better .. That will keep me going for a while anyway.

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 23/08/2012 19:57

I are it in my other pregnancies but this one doesn't like cheese

mandasand · 23/08/2012 20:03

Hello peeps!

I am sick to death of my f*cking book! It's supposed to be delivered a week tomorrow but I think I am going to be begging my editor for an extra week and playing up my preggo symptoms in a rather pathetic way which those of you who are suffering much more than constant knackeredness and obsessive googling are perfectly within your rights to look down on!

That said, I finished a determinedly chapter today, so it's not all bad Smile

Husband has been sent to dig down the allotment before tea so I have more time to write check to see how you're all doing on MN today I am a cruel wife, I know.

Well done JoJo and you deserve that curry and a sip of beer/wine. I've been having the odd slurp of other people's beer tedmundo - nice to be a bit naughty!

Sarah hope you're belly's okay and completely recovered? Walk with elbows out!

I've had some womb-related aches and tiny pains today. Growing pains, I'm thinking hoping. Nothing like the contractions of early weeks.
