I just vomited in the park like a hobo :( today is not a good day.

zoeymlucas · 23/08/2012 08:24

On our exam - WTF I clearly meant your!

Chefette · 23/08/2012 08:38

Positive thinking and good luck for today JoJo hope it goes well. Just think how proud you'll be to come out the other side. May the force of the MNet "Marchers" be with you-bump power! Smile

mandasand · 23/08/2012 08:42

Oh JoJo, poor thing! Better out than in, as they say .... um, maybe that's not too helpful. Hmm

Sundae Twins don't run in our family at all!! Utter surprise, especially as they were conceived naturally. But I had read that as soon as you come off contraception (maybe just progesterone-only, which I was on, but maybe all, I can't remember) you can be ultra fertile once things get going again. We did joke about this ... or, rather, I joked and DH went 'Hmmm....' Also, there's a higher incidence of twins amongst the over 35s even without the IVF etc factor. I think it's to do with the ovaries' last gasp before the menopause, chucking all the eggs out! So, probably I released two eggs (I was only in, I think, fourth cycle after coming off POP-injection and then pill) and DH's supersperm fertilised them both! Mightily impressed at our aging bodies!

zoeymlucas · 23/08/2012 08:45

Hobo chic is fashionable these days Jojo so I wouldnt worry :)

theTramp · 23/08/2012 09:11

JoJo you poor thing!

And there I was feeling sorry for myself because I had to have a cold shower this morning. Hoping leccy is back when I get home tonight.

GummiberryJuice · 23/08/2012 09:17

Sheldonella · 23/08/2012 09:34

Morning all. Good luck for your exam JoJo and hope you feel better.
I think I had my first real craving last night - for Mr Kipling Bakewell Slices! I almost sent DH out to buy some. I used to love them as a kid but haven't had any since. I was almost licking my ipad screen when I checked you can still buy them. Will be out looking for them today :)
I'm wondering when I will properly start to show rather than just looking fat. What is normal for a first timer?

mandasand · 23/08/2012 09:49

Aw thanks Gummi Grin Just in time for my mid-morning snack!

Sheldon I'm convinced mine's just fat ... except this week (12) it's become a bit of a pot and when I suck my belly in as much as I can there is still a new angle jutting up and out from the pelvic area. I think that must be my womb. I am adamant (in my daily discussions with DH on the matter) that I am not any bigger than before, because I used to have quite a tummy, but I think I have lost a bit of weight overall, so my tummy is growing, but the flab has decreased a bit. (If you know what I mean!) I am obsessed I tell you with checking myself out. We've a big, big mirror in the hall downstairs (thank you Mr Man who sold us the house) and I can't walk past without looking at myself from all angles...

Oh god, tummy is DEMANDING food. Must make porridge.

pipsicles · 23/08/2012 09:56

Good luck JoJo! Hope all goes well for you today.

My little brother is picking up his GCSE results today. He's worked really hard, but we're a little bit nervous about a couple of them. We're going out to celebrate in a fancy restaurant tonight anyway, so really looking forward to that!

Sunny day here - hoping it will continue!

confuddledDOTcom · 23/08/2012 09:58

I have Antiphospholipid Sydrome, it's the nastiest autoimmune disease there is (I'm not too bad though) because it works by pretending to be any other autoimmune disease, so I know what you mean about Dr Google! I have Raynauds, Fibro, CAPD and the condition also means you're a thrombophiliac so I have those symptoms too (TIAs, brain fog...) Because of the fibro I have bruises down my spine from a 7 year old injury and I've had PGP for about the same amout of time that doesn't get better between pregnancies.

I just trying to get my phone charged, every breakfasted and ready to go as my dad is bringing my niece over to swap with my middlie so we can go out for the day (middlie is slightly hypermobile and we're doing more walking than she can manage today). Phone was on charge all night but it's slightly dodgy and stopped charging in the night and seems to be putting the power back into the laptop the way it goes down when plugged in Hmm would rather not be phoneless when out with three kids!

dameflamingo · 23/08/2012 10:11

Good luck jojo, morning sickness and downright fear don't go too well together so hobo gate completely expected really. love the idea that the marchers will all be with you in spirit during the exam...mn power!!
confuddled I cannot even pronounce that condition let alone imagine how it feels to have it. Sending hugs and cake your way.
It's exactly one hour to my scan so I'm a) nervous as heck and b) downing water laced with lime juice in an attempt to fill but not overfill bladder. sheldon I'm 13 weeks if my calculations are right and at week 12 my tummy sort of popped out, a definate bump/ bloated look!!! I can tell but people who don't know me cannot...also waiting to look what I am!!!

Finally , a bit behind the times but the person who loves the name inigo that is one fantastic name. I don't know anyone with it and I'm not planning on borrowing it as have very long standing family names we'll probably use . My advice, go for it! Xx

sarahs999 · 23/08/2012 10:13

I just got whacked in the lower stomach really hard by an utter bitch at victoria station - she didn't even apologise, flinging her bag around. I am furious, and sitting here now with a dull ache. Shaking a bit too. How can people do that and not check to see the person is ok? It would have been hard enough to hurt anyone, let alone a pg woman.

theTramp · 23/08/2012 10:20

Sarah - hope for karma, sit down for a but and look after yourself. Sadly there are some very selfish, nasty peoplein the world. Thankfully there are also some genuinely lovely peoplein the world too. Hope the rest of your day goes better for you.

zoeymlucas · 23/08/2012 10:23

Good luck for your brother this morninf pip and cant beat a fancy restaurant to celebrate! I am going out for dinner with my friends this evening only to Zizzi but its my fav and I am have admit I have already looked online at the menu and picked what I want Blush

That sounds awful for you confuddled and your very brave being pregnant again I think if I had know about things before I might not of done it again as it takes control away from me abit having this which does not help my control issues, lol
I def have a belly more than normal and am only 11+1 now but this is number 3 and I am told its normal to show faster with 2nd or 3rd, with DS1 I never looked pregnant at all, with DS2 I got massive fast and then slowed down at 23 weeks and had a nice sized bump when I had him at 33.

I hope your ok sarah that sounds nasty I would of told her in no uncertain terms, it wouldnt of helped with the pain but would of made me feel better. I hope your ok and go home and get lots of rest

sarahs999 · 23/08/2012 10:41

Thanks guys. The pain has gone now so I'm hoping it was just a nasty moment. Doesn't help that no one here knows I'm pg so couldn't have a moan to anyone - I would have grabbed her in the station and remonstrated but I was with a colleague at the time.

Zoey I reckon between us we could create a dictionary of pg complications! I had severe early onset pre-eclampsia with DS (born at 26 weeks), also had emergency CS with GA and nearly died on the operating table (pulmonary odema and heart failure), have two blood clotting disorders (prothrombin and factor V Leiden), autoimmunue problems (high natural killer cells) and recurrent mc (five in a row). So am now on a huge array of drugs which so far (fingers x) seem to be working. I practically rattle when I walk!

Lexiindisguise · 23/08/2012 11:03

Fingers crossed for you JoJo!

Lexiindisguise · 23/08/2012 11:12

And sarah that is so rude of her, I hope you feel better. People can be so ignorant!
Re: bump, at the beginning of this week (12) I definitely started to look different, belly seems to have risen. Still in my roomier normal clothes but good friends & DH say I am now beginning to 'look pg'.
Day off tomorrow preparing for bank holiday visitors so lots of cleaning - I can't believe how time is flying! We've started to tell friends & had some lovely responses plus offers of baby stuff - people have been very surprised as with being married 5 years & DH 40 next year most assumed we were not planning to have a LO.

confuddledDOTcom · 23/08/2012 11:58

zoey, we were going to stop after #2 but he wouldn't get done, then he was going to get done after #3... I had no intention of getting pregnant again! Apparantly the snip is worse than anything pregnancy puts me through.

Sarah, I'd be surprised if you haven't been tested for Antiphospholipid Syndrome, you sound quite typical! Are you jabbing yourself? By belly looks like I've been beaten up!

KFFOREVER · 23/08/2012 12:06

Good morning ladies!

Im at home today.Came from work as it seems sickness has returned. Still waiting for the blooming face.

Nice to hear Turksih was conceived abroad.

Sarah- How are you feeling? Some people are just sooo inconsiderate. Its dog eat dog on public transport during rush hour.

sarahs999 · 23/08/2012 12:14

Zoey, I don't have it, luckily. Have been tested. Yes, my belly looks like a warzone. I said to DH this morning, 'I would say, wouldn't you, that my belly is perhaps not my most attractive feature?' he diplomatically just laughed. I'm injecting twice a day; think I've finally got the technique down to just small blood marks rather than massive bruises which is what I was getting at first. Having said that I did manage a nasty looking purple bruise a couple of days ago so perhaps it's just luck.

I'm feeling better now. I've got my nuchal scan tomorrow so at least I'll get to see baby, though am mentalling madly of course as I'm so ancient. Terrified of a bad result. Even DH admitted he was nervous yesterday and he's normally quite sanguine.

theTramp · 23/08/2012 12:20

I have a friend who had a snip party. Apparently it's now a laser and you don't feel a thing, though you do smell burning. I've ha Goldfinger moment in head ever since...

JoJoBella84 · 23/08/2012 12:37

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the mumsnet marchers for remaining with me in spirit!! I am officially a 3rd year now :) whoop for a big pass in my exam :) it was difficult fighting the urge to vomit but I made it through in scathed and am now off for a nap! They told me I'd passed 10 mins after I finished so that's a huge relief!!!

tiddleypompom · 23/08/2012 12:57

Wow well done jojo! Hats off to you, managing at all let alone passing! Congratulations :)

Sorry to hear of so many Marchers suffering with pelvis/hip/mobility issues, as well as the continuing ms. Am feeling very lucky so far.

Looking forward to hearing more happy scan news...

theTramp · 23/08/2012 12:57

Hurrah JoJo! Nap much deserved methinks
