We're on safari with the labour spotting signs... How long till the next baby arrives?

Pull up a birthing ball, sup some raspberry leaf tea and tuck into the 'big boy pineapple balti'. We're on the home straight!

Congratulations Tash and Tumble.

Looks like the baby girls are being the naughty ones waiting to come out.

Don't worry Justine I'm still here like you, waiting for naughty number 3!

Sweep did nothing yesterday.

I'm going to make a cake-banana and choc chip.

justine09x · 23/08/2012 13:55

Urrrggghhh pint third babies!!! I'm getting so frustrated I wouldn't mind but it's stop start and start stop, had bloody show for 4 days and a few cramps that come to nothing. Would feel better if nothing was happening then I wouldn't get my hopes up lol :)

Hopefully our turn soon!! Xx

justine09x · 23/08/2012 13:56

And Mmmm cake I want some hmmph!! Xx

NeedlesCuties · 23/08/2012 14:04

sobs on the shoulder of anyone willing to let me<

I have awful trapped nerve pain in my lower back/buttocks :( Don't know if it's some sort of sciatic (spelling?) pain, or an SPD thing. But I'm finding walking and bending sooo uncomfortable and sometimes the pain shoots down my inner thighs and I cry out in pain! DS doesn't know what his mum is doing hobbling around the house like a loon.

Due date tomorrow, I really thought he/she would have been here by now and I'm struggling with my reactions to the fact that I'm still pregnant.

Had show on Monday, and have been having false alarms for a week now. Baby: what the feck are you doing?!?!

Nightfall1983 · 23/08/2012 14:40

Shattered, but the house smells fantastic!

It's my last day at work tomorrow so am baking: white choc cookies, golden syrup muffins and lemon drizzle cake. Imagine if my waters break tonight and I don't go in tomorrow?!!

MrGeresHamster · 23/08/2012 15:15

You poor thing you. Hopefully it'll pass soon. If it helps I had a pain in my lower back before going into labour and all my contraction pains resonated in and out of it... It was baby moving back to back at the last minute. Could be a sign? or just could be really bad timing

OP posts:
NeedlesCuties · 23/08/2012 15:37

A sign! A sign! Am clutching at straws and seeing signs in every ache, twinge and movement.

Thanks for the sympathy though.

justine09x · 23/08/2012 16:38

I'm sure it is a sign needles, alot of people on here and friends of mine have given birth on their due date so I'm sure it's going to be the same for you, lots of labour dust flying your way!!!

I had a phone call today from witness care saying in needed in court as a witness as I was sexually assaulted by my gardener dirty old man he only grabbed my boob but I then saw he was wanted in the paper for sexually assaulting a young girl in a shop so I obviously spoke up, anyway after delaying the court case for months they are trying to set a date from 3rd of September so even more reason to get this baby out!! it's very stressful been hanging over me thru whole pregnancy and now have to deal with it within days of giving birth its very unfair he should plead guilty and save everyone the trouble!!!!

Moan over will get back to ignoring signs as its obvious I'm destined for my third September baby which means a whole extra year at home before they start school grrrrr xxx

alisonmcg · 23/08/2012 22:45

It's been ages since I've posted here, have been using the facebook group a bit
more! Congratulations to all with new babies! Very jealous!

After not having any braxton hicks throughout the pregnancy tonight I've started having them every 6 minutes or so and the base of my back feels tight and heavy, could this be the start?! Or is it just usual aches and pains?

MrsMigginslovespies · 24/08/2012 08:07

Hello all! Just a wee to say Edward James was born yesterday morning at 1154 weighing 6lb 12oz after an epic traumatic 31 hour labour. More later on this as on phone but we're doing well if tired and I couldn't be happier!

Hope you're all well too and I'll see you on the other thread! Xx

frillylemons · 24/08/2012 09:05

Congrats MrsM!!! Grin So exciting!

I'm fecking fed up. Still not officially due till Tuesday but the discomfort is almost unbearable Sad Come on baby, you must nearly be ripe?!

MrGeresHamster · 24/08/2012 09:06

Yeay whoop! Whoop! Whoop!

Congratulations MrsMiggins. x.

frillylemons · 24/08/2012 09:07

Just saw your post justine, what a horrible thing to have happened SadAngry It would be rather fun if you went into labour at court...oh the drama!!

Ambi · 24/08/2012 09:27

Congratulations to more babies, they are flying out now aren't they? Justine, how awful to have that so close.

I'm still waiting though not actually due until Mon, had some strong movements on Weds but nothing as of yet. I'm so fed up / tired / bored. Overheard BIL ask DH what am I playing at? Jokingly but it stings a bit (oversensitive). Ok, so I see MW on Tues, they will sweep then but not hopeful. I think whats pissing me off the most is I really want to visit my Gdad who's dying but I can't risk the 1hr15 journey each way in case I go into labour on the M56. I have to wait until the baby is born so hurry the feck up child!

DH even said the "it's not long now" line yesterday, I'm amazed I didn't throw something at him. My baby shower was nice last week, fairly small due to flaky socalled friends. But BF went to loads of trouble and expense, she's a bloody star and it was nice to feel special.

fairtradelu · 24/08/2012 09:31

Congrats mrs m!

Oh, I so know how you feel frilly - my groin/pelvic area is shot and I can no longer bend down, which is rather annoying as my nesting instinct has only just hit so despite wanting to clean kitchen floor yest I was only able to do a half-assed job using my foot!

Tuesday seems like sooo far away and baby might not even be on time. I can't even contemplate that thought at mo... The good news is that I have finally had some kind of symptom - I had a massive really painful twinge yesterday that felt a lot like I imagine a contraction might feel like. Granted I had nothing else all afternoon but in bed last night I was very crampy. It is so weird actually wishing to feel pain but I really want the contractions to start today. Hell, I've got nothing better to do the next two days!

justine09x · 24/08/2012 09:58

Thanks ladies it will be ok im sure hoping the baby will pop out this weekend so I can stop worrying about popping in court lol.

Are we the last remaining few?? I'm really fed up feel a week overdue as ds was 2 weeks early grrrrr, im the same as u guys getting fed up and and annoyed come on baby!!!

39 weeks today!!

NeedlesCuties · 24/08/2012 10:45

Nightfall1983 · 24/08/2012 13:59

I have finished work!

I feel so incredibly excited! And very odd, I've always had a job since I was 16 (saturdays and school holidays) and a full-time job since finishing Uni 5 years ago. Now... nothing! Oh well just have to wait for my new extra-full-time "job" to decide to put in an appearance Wink.

I'd quite like a week off first though baby if you don't mind...

39 + 6

MrGeresHamster · 24/08/2012 18:25

Enjoy it Nightfall it's a full time job on the other side (more so even). ...but the most rewarding job ever! Good luck!

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend with lots of contractions and new arrivals! So far today I have had raspberry leaf tea, pineapple juice (I figured it'd be more efficient than eating loads of pineapples), spicy fajitas and enjoyed (ha) a long walk and lots of ball bouncing. This baby really should have got the message by now! Time to crack on little one.

NeedlesCuties · 24/08/2012 19:58

I agree with you fairtrade!

Today I have had 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea, a bowl of cut up pineapple, seduced DH, and driven over speed bumps.

Is my due date and I'm fed up.

Signet2012 · 24/08/2012 21:34

I'm due Tuesday and have a new symptom if you would care to look for signs...

My bum bone (?) is so sore! and my front bone feels bruised!

Been getting some rather interesting BH but they aren't often, regular or particularly strong.

Do you think this could be the start?

redandyellowbits · 24/08/2012 21:51

Hello, I used to be vanimal but can't change back on my iPhone for some reason.

DD3 was born on Wednesday 22nd August (her due date!) via an elective C-section. I was all set to have vbac2 but unfortunately had a few problems with me blood count on Monday which meant I had to have a
C-section.

I am still in hospital with her now and she is doing well. All going to plan I should be discharged in the morning.

She is beautiful and looks just like her older sisters at the moment. She is breast feeding well although my milk is not in yet so a little sore.

miaboo · 24/08/2012 22:19

Hi all
I HAD MY BABY BOY AT LAST!!!! :) :) :) :)
Just to let you know that he was born yesterday at 12.01pm, I only got to the hospital at 11.40 as well and was already 8cm, the proper labour pains only really started at 11 and were all in my back and very painful, When they excamined me they said they had to rush me round to the delivery rooms because as soon as my waters went he would be here! They managed to get me round just as I needed to push :)
His shoulders got stuck so at one point had 4 midwifes in the room 2 pulling baby and one holding my legs! But I managed it and he was born weighing 8lb 2oz and I needed no stitches!! :) :)
We are home tonight and now settling in well, will update more once fully come to terms with a 21 minute labour!!
