We're on safari with the labour spotting signs... How long till the next baby arrives?

Pull up a birthing ball, sup some raspberry leaf tea and tuck into the 'big boy pineapple balti'. We're on the home straight!

Congrats to all the new mums! You are really testing my list organising skills :)

Welsh I can't believe your DD was 11lbs! I am sending you a big Brew

I have trapped nerves in both my buttocks Hmm am walking like an elderly penguin.

Baby >pokes belly< come out soon, please!!!!!

geekette · 21/08/2012 18:56

Back from latest sweep. Looks like baby is going to be large. Now I want it out to save myself some pain... c'mon baby! I am about 2cm dilated so maybe it is on the way.

Congrats to all the new mums! And we've got an 11pounder! Oh. Well done!

Going shopping for the maternity staff tomorrow ! They have been absolutely fab and really been there for me through the uncertainties.

Lovemarmite · 21/08/2012 19:07

Thanks pint, I've just started to relax again.

Congratulations welsh Wine lovely picture x

geekette and justine it sounds as though things are progressing for you both! Yeah!

mrsmiggins we might be induction buddies on Thursday then? I'm so not looking forward to it either. Wishing you more labour dust!

Just massaged breasts and got a really big hormonal rush, now starting to do eviction techniques in real earnest and have just been bouncing on the ball and almost fell off writing this post, d'oh!

hamncheese · 21/08/2012 19:55

Congrats on all the babies! Enjoying seeing you all gradually appearing on the other thread!

marmite sorry to hear your mum is still causing you so much grief :( hopefully baby will come soon and other things will be insignificant in comparison to your LO

Sending sandy head smell to try and bring on labour for all waiting! Mmmm sandy head smell...

justine09x · 21/08/2012 20:44

No progress here lol if I didn't laugh I would actually cry!!
Poor hubby gets angry wife wearing his track suit bottoms demand a bit of rumpy the minute he walks in the door! TMI I know lol but I will do anything at this point even 'that'.
Rang midwife she said 3rd baby and she's back to back I'm in for the long haul.......glad I wasn't face to face with her haha I want them to tell me a exact time and date Hmm impossible I know but would make things a lot better, it's like waiting for Xmas day but not knowing what day it's on :)

Sounds like everyone doing so well loving all the lovely names.......and 11lbs!!?? You are superwoman! Well done!!

tashaw28 · 21/08/2012 22:02

Know exactly what you mean justine!

Huge congrat's on all the lovely newborns too!!!

So after sweep yesterday morning had a crampy night and a bit of bloody mucus, then all day today had brown mucus, (sorry if TMI), is this still from the sweep or could the brown stuff be from plug? Last time it all happened at once so I can't remember anything! Birthday on Monday and I really want this baby out first!!!

Gingerelle · 22/08/2012 06:40

Another for the birth list....baby girl born Sunday morning....6.7lbs and perfect! Didn't get the water birth I'd hoped for as had a bad bleed but once got the gas & air (sadly not till 7cm dilated!) all was fine. Fingers crossed for action soon for all those still waiting xxx ps pls could someone post link to the post natal thread? Thx

NeedlesCuties · 22/08/2012 07:47

Congrats ginger, have added you to the list :)

Here is the link for post-natal I am Envy and wish to join you all soon!

Lovemarmite · 22/08/2012 09:19

Congratulations gingerelle! hope you're both doing really well Wine

miaboo · 22/08/2012 09:51

well was due yesterday and went for a sweep last night, midwife said I am 3cm and my cervix is as thin as it's going to get!! She felt his head and the forewaters and seemed very surprised I hadent felt any contractions, I have been but very irregular so havent done anything about it!
She seems to think he will be here by tomorrow and told us what to do for a homebirth as she said when he comes she thinks its going to be very quick and if I feel the need the push dont attempt to get to hospital ring an ambulance and deliver at home! Hmm
Said if contractions become regular and I dont need to push to basically just leg it to the hospital!!
spent last night having back ache and contractions were alittle more regular but slowed down throughout the night so hubby gone to work today and I'm sat waiting for it all to kick off wondering if I'm even going to make it to the hospital Shock

tumblebug · 22/08/2012 10:33

wow miaboo sounds exciting, good luck!

Congratulations gingerelle, welsh and susie.

Lots of sympathy and labour dust for everyone else still waiting.

Woke up at 7 this morning having mild contractions, also suspicious waters had broken (bit more than expected when went to loo - so really can't be sure. All seems to have stopped now though. Frustrating - had my hopes up, and DH says it would have been his grandfather's 100th birthday today - what a great day to have a baby.

ArtyJennie · 22/08/2012 13:17

It's my due day today- it feels like a big day- I guess I have been waiting for it for 9months! Nothing's happening though :( I new I'd go over. Dd1 was 5days late- I hope I don't go further than that!

Tbh I find it difficult reading this thread as i must admit to being a bit jel of all the peeps who have had their bubs!

Come on bump!! It's time to come out!

geekette · 22/08/2012 15:07

tashaw with you on the all night cramps and stained mucous! I am not sure what it is or signifies but I did call the midwives and they also think it is from my show.

Still feeling quite crampy. Hope it turns into something more soon.

justine09x · 22/08/2012 16:10

I'm with you too geekette had same for last 2 days just been for a walk to try and move things along but no doubt will be sitting here in a weeks time lol. Good luck everyone x

pintofmilk · 22/08/2012 16:54

Well it is very quite on this page now most of the ladies have popped, and I really dont have anything exciting to say.....

Had my sweep this morning. Sounds like Miaboo you are more progressed than me! Envy

Midwife said my cervix was still posterior and 1 1/2cm long, so thinned out 50% effaced. So she said not to hold my breath that it would work. Still she said cervix was soft, could feel hair on head and head is down, so not all bad news!

She said I was to go back next week for sweep number 2 on Tuesday then would book an induction if nothing happens before then. Sad

Might have a sneaky peak at the post natal thread to see if I can catch some baby vibes.

40+3

Lovemarmite · 22/08/2012 17:41

I have my induction tomorrow morning and really hoping for a miraculous spurt of labour beforehand. It seems a bit surreal that we won't be out from hospital until LO is here.
Wishing everyone some positive labour vibes x

geekette · 22/08/2012 18:29

Hope things are progressing better for you Justine. My cramps seem to be easing now. Bugger.

Marmite, have you been in hospital long? ?? I may have missed a bit...

Nightfall1983 · 22/08/2012 19:22

Just had my last full day at work - half day tomorrow and Friday. Feels very odd!!

Also was thinking about the fact that I'm 39 + 4 today which means that two weeks tomorrow would be my induction date if baby doesn't show before that. Two weeks! Got very very excited thinking about it and can't stop grinning

Poppysnoss · 22/08/2012 19:29

Hi All.

It's really exciting with all the babies arriving. I finish work tomorrow and really looking forward to it. Going to risk a wee night out with the girls tomorrow night to have a good catch up before Baby arrives.

Mrs Piggins, hope you got on ok today. I really want to use the pool at BGH too and I hear it's not really over-subscribed.

My mother has money on me delivering tomorrow. Em, not if I can help it... An extra week would be good. Smile

Lovemarmite · 22/08/2012 19:30

Hi geekette
We'll be in hospital from 8am onwards tomorrow.
Hope I get some sleep this evening as a wee bit nervous!

Poppysnoss · 22/08/2012 19:32

For the list, I should probably add some details:

Due date 31st August
Age 35
This will be baby number 3 for me
No idea whether boy or girl....

pintofmilk · 22/08/2012 20:56

Marmite good luck tomorrow. I know how nervous you must be as I was induced with my first. Time to double check the case, check for snacks. Maybe you could have a small glass of Wine before bed to make sure you sleep Wink

tashaw28 · 22/08/2012 22:23
