We're on safari with the labour spotting signs... How long till the next baby arrives?

Pull up a birthing ball, sup some raspberry leaf tea and tuck into the 'big boy pineapple balti'. We're on the home straight!

Needles that sounds v similiar to what I had last week. Nowt since alas and am still very firmly pregnant. Feel completely fine again today so suspect it's not going to be today either, but am going to call MW and see if they can do sweep 3 as really don't induction on Friday.

I spent the weekend in the Lake District and it was soo nice to have a change of scenery and some proper relaxation with the family. I managed a couple of flat walks too but may have overdone it slightly as had to spend yesterday afternoon in bed feeling decidedly sick. I felt better after a sleep but wondered if it was the start of something. I've been feeling sick today as well but no contractions or show or waters breaking or anything yet.

38+6 today. How are my due date buddies frilly and signet getting on?

Nowt much to report I'm afraid! Bust cleaning house, been sorting our allotment the best I can, probably more of a hindrance to dp than a help!

Bit achy under bump, top of legs and back but no shows or anything

Very jealous re: lakes . Love the lakes and my only pregnancy moan has been that I didn't get to go camping this year and I really wanted to but suffered with SPd early on which put it out the question

Everyone keeps trying to get me walking, sex etc to get the baby out and I'm getting . She will come when she is ready !!

40+1 today and nothing exciting happening. Did get loads of BH over the weekend that were getting more painful but they went as quickly as they came.

I too am getting fed up with the texts/e-mails from people asking if the baby has come yet.

Needles sounds like all moving in the right direction.

Have a sweep booked in for Wednesday, although not telling anyone to avoid more calls. Like you say signet baby will come when she is ready.

Pinto. Last time I was text to ask if baby was here (by my brother) I sent the reply saying yeah had her last week just thought id keep it secret !

Baby Isabella born this morning at 01.41 weighing 7lb
Ended up going via ambulance after a 36 hour back to back labour which rapidly progressed and didn't give us time to get to the hospital without the risk of her being born at the side of the road! Apparently the paramedics thought I would deliver in the ambulance or the lift at the hospital
Fortunately she waited til we were in the delivery suite but shot out in record time still with waters intact and the membrane over her face, which apparently very lucky.
At home now and DD1 is besotted

signet your comment to your brother lol. My sister bbm'd me this morn and was like I will tell you! Like we would keep it a secret from close family. And she was like I just wondered if you had any twinges! So I replied that I had some pains in my cervix but I thought that was baby jabbing me as I know what contractions feel like. She didn't reply after that lol! Tmi I think!

Congrats to the new babies, back to back labour sucks Glimpers doesn't it, had 25 hours of it with my DD1.

So had my first sweep ever today, done by one of the world most bland registrar's who was obviously brand new as kept miss informing me then going to check with the consultant about everything!!!!
Eventually ended up being scanned by the consultant as she thought baby was in a bad position but he said it was fine, phew, however apparently I'm only 1 1/2 cm dialated so prob not gonna happen for a while. They only want me to go to 28th August though so having another sweep on Thursday but with midwife this time so hopefully will be more efficient?
Sorry to moan but had a disappointing day.

Amelia was born this morning at 1am weighing 8lbs after a 4 hour labour at home (planned home birth). Can't quite believe she's here or just how shattered I feel. DSs were asleep and slept through the whole event which was great, both were very surprised to find her here this morning

Signet / Susie re the annoying texts etc, DP's sister lives an hour and a half away, but is house-sitting 5 miles down the road ALL week, with her 3 children, who are to say 'easily excited' at the best of times. She tried to ring today, for the third time so didn't answer. 10 minutes later they all turned up at the door wanting to know why I hadn't answered the phone!! Now I am planning a home birth, supposed to be nice and relaxing, now dreading them all turning up when I go into labour. Grrrr.

Off to find padlock for gate at end of driveway.......oh and catching dust as I go....

Baby Noah James, born on Sunday at 4.05pm by normal delivery...day before I was due for induction. 9lb 4oz and didn't I know it! Will catch up asap, off to feed the monkey now

Tashaw sounds like I'm on a similar timescale to you - cs booked on 30th if i don't go into labour before. Sweep on Friday. Never actually expected to get there, but starting to worry now, would be very annoying to end up with elcs 18 days later than I could have had one!

On a positive note, love having DM here - she gets up with DS, I'm still in bed! Better get up and think of something useful to do I guess.

DUE TODAY!!!! Not really any signs though and at the midwife this evening she will give me a sweep if I request one, Really dont want one but really dont want him in there any longer either so mixed feelings!, Home alone with my 2 dc today so alittle nervous to, dont want to move of sofa either!!
Didnt think I would see today pregnant really thought he would be early as so huge and been head down for weeks, hate not being in control!!

wow, hope you're all doing great!

Hope you can sort out the relaxation and your sister gives you your space pint.

After all my family stress a few weeks ago and my mother being unbelievably selfish and making the time all about her feelings, she is now making a huge thing about not meeting up as soon as our LO is here. I am getting tons of emails and today's was about banning her from seeing her grandchild - ahhh, there's no ban but we're trying to buy ourselves some time from a big onslaught of excited family members straight after the birth. Not sure why she thinks she's more important to see LO before DH's parents etc. DH's family all understand that we want a little time by ourselves and this is quite normal. Her emails are now going straight into the junk folder! Crickey I just feel this is so unfair that she is being like this when I'm 41+3 and really would love to get my head relaxed away from her self-absorbed motives. She also knows we have to sit down and talk about the upset from a few weeks ago and surely no one would expect that to happen straight after giving birth.
Sorry to moan... now off to do something more positive ... hmm, sit on ball, try and walk a bit...

Hey everyone jacob george born today at 10.06am. 7lb 10.5 oz on his due date. Sending labour dust to everyone still to go! Will post lovely home birth story later.

Amazing news ladies on all the new babies! Will write more later, but waters have broken a bit, so off to have quick shower then call labour ward to go in and get monitored etc. Feeling definintely crampy so hoping this might be the start of things. eek! x

Ah Love sorry to read your post . Really hope you manage to do things the way you and your DH want. Am sending and good vibes for a lovely birth the way you want with no problems. Can you do something nice with Dh etc today to take your mind off things? x

Congratulations to u all!!! Can't believe how many have been born!!!

I must have been getting sympathy pains for u all last night as had reg contractions that decidedly stopped!! Grrrrrr had more bloody show today, midwives are right when they say 3rd babies are a pain this one Definately is!!

Am back from hospital with nothing interesting to report at all! Grump. After 4 hours of them faffing about, had a speculum test and they couldn't confirm if waters had gone or not . I know I didn't wet myself, so a leak, I guess. Have to go back tomorrow again for more monitoring etc. Sigh. And to top it off, they might bring induction forward which I don't really want as means can't use the pool. Am bit frustrated by it all and feel grumpy now. Hey ho, wil lsee how it all goes, but a boring frustrating day all in all.

Congratulations to Rumours good size baby. At my scan 3 weeks ago mine was weighing 7lbs so 3 and bit weeks on and who knows how big now! eeek please tell me over 9lbs wasn't too bad......

I have just come back from 3 mile walk with kids and dogs in hope that something might happen before sweep tomorrow. Just feel knackered now and want my bed but have decided to go out for a meal with DP, DD and DS.
