Hi all,
God, so much to catch up on - I can't get throught it all so sorry for not picking up on individual posts!
Briefly though - glad all are well and that scans are good news. I'm also getting mighty huge though I don't own scales so can only guess at an elephantine weight gain. LOL at the glandular quip - just like me! Nothing to do with the huge quantities of food and sweeties that I'm scarfing with impunity!!Am scoffing a macaroon bar (soooo much sugar) as I type!
I'm also a bit sex crazed at the moment and have been for about 6 weeks. DH is in a state of blissed out confusion wondering what has happened to the woman he normally shares a bed with. Boobs also very "responsive" here too. Mine are usually a 32F and are now a 34FF - my bf bras were H cups last time.
Had to see my chiropractor yesterday as my back was so sore. Turns out my pelvis was out of alignment too due to my er, rapid weight gain inthe last 3 weeks!!!!Grin
Have a good day, y'all!

pinkdolly · 08/03/2006 13:11

Hi all,
SF congrats on your scan, counting down the days till mine.
Been following the boob stories with interest, I cant stand mine being touched at the moment. Cant stand much being touched at the moment. As with my previous pg's I have gone right off sex and intimacy. My poor DH is a bit neglected at the moment, and am feeling quite guilty about it actually. Wandering if I should force myself to get intimate with him. He is v.understanding and attentive and I do feel i'm being a bit mean. I love him to bits and still fancy him, so I dont know why I feel this way. Has anyone else had similer feelings or are you all sex mad!

Sex mad
Sex Bonkers, actually!IYKWIM Grin
Don't worry, Pink - my DH won't get near me for about a year after this baby is born!!!

Annie29 · 08/03/2006 14:07

Pinkdolly, I'm with you, just can't be bothered with the sweet lovin' no more. I think about it, but then physically my body's knackered so I can't be doing with it! Poor DH is knackered too, so he's not as bothered as he usually is, bless him, he looks after DS all day while I sit at work (most MNing!) One of these days maybe...You're not being mean, you're carrying his baby!!! How un-mean is that!!

puddytat99 · 08/03/2006 14:44

SF - Glad everything went well with your scan.

Does anyone know about Chickenpox? We've had a few children in the school where I work go down with it and my headteacher, bless him, is a bit worried about me. Keeps hiding me away in the art area, etc. I think it's only a risk before 20 weeks and near the end stages. That's what our health & safety guidelines say. Does that apply to shingles as well or is that different?Any advice would be great.

spub · 08/03/2006 15:07

Think you are right chixpox is mostly a problem early and late on. Dunno about shingles but you could check the NHS 24 website, maybe?

Annie29 · 08/03/2006 15:32

Puddytat,
did you have chicken pox when you were small? If so, you should be immune for your whole life, so you should be safe enough. As far as I know, shingles is the same virus, just the adult version (therefore more severe), which you would only catch if you never had chicken pox when you were a kid. Saying that, I'd check with a professional, cos my microbiology degree is a bit dusty.

Annie29 · 08/03/2006 15:35

For a complete immunisation schedule, click here.

Oops saying that, I just got this on the Pampers website:

FYI: For adults and pregnant women, chicken pox is a much more serious
disease, so it's important to keep your child at home as soon as you
realise he has the chicken pox. If you go to the clinic or doctor's
surgery, let them know that you'll be bringing along a child who has
chicken pox or may have been exposed to the virus.

Annie29 · 08/03/2006 15:40

Sorry, bit rubbish at copying and pasting there.

Annie29 · 08/03/2006 15:45

/link{http://dermatology.about.com/cs/pregnancy/a/chickenpreg.htm}

Ok sorry for confusing you, I think I was right the first time, if you had it when you were little you should be ok. If you haven't, then the risky time is early pregnancy, and near delivery.

I'll shut up now.

IamBlossom · 08/03/2006 16:43

hey everyone. I thik you are ok if you've ahd it as a kid, ask your Mum?

I've just had an epiphany. WE'RE PREGNANT!!!! We are going to have another/a BABY!!! OMIGOD!!!

Craziness. I keep wondering if this is the last time I'll be pregnant, is anyone else planning on having any more after this one?

Hi,I'd like to join your gang too please :) I have been waiting for amnio and scan results before joining, just to make sure-but everything is all ok thank goodness!:o
I'm 21 weeks today with my 3rd--already have DD1 5 years old and DD2 who is 10 months next week, like Annie29-oh and I'm 36 (so is DH)I think thats everything!

agalch · 08/03/2006 17:03

Good news on your scan SF Smile

And hope everyone elses feeling ok and things are going well for you all.

Blossom,i am never ever having any more! Mind you this is my 4th so dp is getting the snip,he doesn't want to but hey ho,i have done enough carrying the little darlings for 9 months and bf them and all that so i reckon it's his job!!
How many do you have Blossom?

I am totally bricking it at the mo.I am telling the little baby i childmind for that i'm pg at the review tonight. 2 friends that are also registered have offered to cover my mat leave so hopefully she will like me enough to come back once i have baby.

My boobs are too tender to be touched by dp,probably cos i'm still bf dd. Hate them being fiddled with while im bf so don't think he'll be getting his paws on them anytime soon lol.Seriously tho we seldom do it at all,dd is a poor sleeper and have a 10 yr old and a 14 yr old that loves to sit and chat in the evening so i'm usually in bed before dp and ds1 come up.Never mind if we are not doing the deed i'll never get pg again right??

IamBlossom · 08/03/2006 19:44

I have one, DS, 18 months. I think we will stop at 2, seems a reasonable enough number to me. i am one of three girls, so I do think having three causes a bit of friction to be honest, one way or another. And I want our lives back post nappies and maternity clothes, i want to go on holidays abroad again, I want to have enough money to go round, i want i want i want. Sorry that sounded a bit petulant, but DH is adamant 2 is enough and at this stage I agree. Bit subduing to think this might be the last time I am pregnant though.

agalch · 08/03/2006 20:04

Blossom
My boys were 12 and 8 when we decided to try for dd,i had wanted another baby for years. We have really enjoyed having her so much we are going for no4!! i never thought i'd ever have more than 2 so never say never lol Grin

Wallace · 08/03/2006 20:08

Am so glad i'm not the only one off sex, thanx Annie and agalch.

Hi to trixter, i'm also on number 3, DD1 is 3 1/2 and DD2 is 2 1/2.
I'd like at least four children. I know it sounds a bit simple but being a mummy is all I want to do. I love kids. DH had always said 2 was enough for him but was thrilled when we got pg with this little one. It actually took him by surprise at how happy he was, and hopefully has opened his mind to having more.
I dont know if I could be one of those ladies who have a dozen, though. I dont know how they do it!

We're are fortunate enough that I dont have to work. Although we penny pinch, the girls dont go without, and as DH is in the Navy we are quite well looked after. Minimum rent (otherwise i'd have to work).

Trixter · 08/03/2006 21:21

Three is enough for me-and DH..who is having palpatations at the thought of having to buy another car to fit us all and the dog in! Didnt expect number 3 so soon tho! it was def planned,as soon as i came home with dd2 i thought i'd love another one,it took 3.5 years for dd1 and 2.5y for dd2 and only 2 months for no.3-instant baby! I have had a few people laugh at me -like we're mad or something having them so close(DD2 will be 14 months) maybe we are!
And I feel exactly the same way as Annie, agalch and pinkdolly-i feel guilty, but its the last thing on my mind at night(apart from double buggys, sad or what)it doesn't help that dd2 is still in our room tho!

agalch · 08/03/2006 21:48

I don't feel guilty about the sex either,my dd co-sleeps with me and dp has got used to sleeping in a bed in spare room on his own, think he actually prefers it tbh.He can read as late as he wants and he never hears when dd gets up in the night(which is most nights!)I think i will end up co sleeping with dd and new baby and tandem feeding them too. i am deffo gonna need a boob job and a face lift after all this lol

Trixter · 08/03/2006 22:10

ooh whatever was it like to have ones that didnt point south?
i think DH would prefer sleeping in another room too!
I cant get into side of bed next to cot due to big belly-so he gets the rough end of the deal as dd2 moves around so much and wakes him up-meanwhile i snore on regardless:o

HumphreysCorner · 08/03/2006 23:40

Welcome to Trixter and congratulations hun on the results of your scan and amnio. Both myself and kbaby had amnios a few weeks back. Can't work out your due date as have PG brain so soon as we know we will add you to the list. Grin Smile ((xx))

Can't believe you ladies who still have the cot in your room at night. DD was put in her own room on the 3rd night and has stayed there since-I couldn't stand the snorting and snuffling.

Anyone having problems shaving (trim and edge)down below-I can't see anymore so it was a bit of a blind effort this morning and I cut myself-ouch. I remember laughing at my friend when she asked how she could shave at 8 months gone and I am only 5 months.

Anyway, it is far too late to be up so hugs to all and I'll be back tomorrow.

(((xxx)))
