Congrats on your scan Wallace. Mine went well too and it is definitely a boy! In fact the sonographer said she was over 100% sure it was a boy, and we agreed when we got a full on view of his bits Grin! DD (23 mths) is delighted and is carrying round her very own scan picture in her pocket (sweet!). Not really sure how much she understands though....

MummyZena · 10/03/2006 13:31

Twirl my DD of 22 months seems excited but I am not sure if she really understands, she said she would like a brother, but she doesn't understand the consept, bless they are just so excited about the smallest of things!!!

deblaca · 10/03/2006 13:32

can't wait for the kicks and my DH is really looking forward to feeling his first kick bless him

good luck with the potty training!

deblaca · 10/03/2006 13:41

great news re the scans (over 100% is pretty sure)

Have a great time in Oz kayzed and hello to everyone else. Time seems to be whizzing at them moment. As the penultimate July mum on the list, just wanted to say - I'm 20 weeks today! Can't believe I'm halfway thro already. Been feeling movements at odd times during the day, but mostly when I'm going off to sleep. Feels a bit like bubbles, or having a fish in your belly (not that I've ever had a live fish swimming around in there, but you know what I mean!)

Wallace · 10/03/2006 18:43

Have a lovely time kayzed - I'm so jealous :)

That is a very good description maewest. It was only 2 weeks ago I really started feeling that sort of movement and already I am getting definate kicks which can be felt with a hand on my belly :)

Wallace · 10/03/2006 18:45

And congratulations twirl on your little boy Grin

pinkdolly · 10/03/2006 19:02

Hi ladies,
Puddytat - Good for you! Hopefully that will teach him to be more respectful in future.

Kayzed - Hope you have a nice break.

Twirl and Wallace - Congrats on your scans, glad they both went well.

I have mine on Monday, DH is away so a dear friend of mine is taking me in. Feeling a bit bad tho coz she has a scan an hour after mine to check her baby is ok. She is 9 weeks and has been having some bleeding, the same thing happened with her DS and he is fine. But it's still a bit worrying. Keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Well its offical, my arse is massive!
Had a phone call from my older sister who delighted in telling me that my bum is huge. She informed me she was allowed to tell me this due to the fact that she already has a rather large backside. But me usually being quite slim, she thinks is v.funny. She then proceeded to tell me how my cousin had also had a chuckle regarding this. So am sitting here feeling a bit bloated at the moment. Mind you I did put on a lot of weight with my other pg's and managed to lose it again. DH says I shouldn't let it bother me, he's so nice and always knows what to say.

Went into a shop today and DD1 picked up a baby rattle "please mummy lets buy this for your baby for when he comes out of your tummy". It was so sweet, I had to let her buy it. I think this baby is going to be very spoiled.
Have also noticed DD1's behaviour change, in that she has turned into a mummy. Likes to help change DD2's nappy, hold her reigns and tell her off when she is naughty. It's so sweet, I think I will have quite a bit of help when baby comes along.

HC - Sometimes I wake up and just feel like crying for the whole day, sending you big hugs and hope you feel better soon.

deblaca · 10/03/2006 23:55

maewest love your description and its reassuring to hear it because thats exactly what it feels like to me too - i'll be 23 weeks tomorrow not feeling any kicks yet but the 'bubbling' becoming more frequent ....

i'm sorry pinkdolly but your bum has made me laugh as well and i haven't even seen it!

oh how jealous - would love to be going to aust. (have a safe trip - kayzed) - my lovely DH has offered to take me to morocco (he's working there) but don;t think i can go because i'd need a thypoid injection - will have to look into it

HC - this evening i went from mid flow conversation to snapping my DH head and because he looked at me 'strangely' (as a result) i burst into floods of tears

anyway off to bed now - goodnight all xx

AggiePanther · 11/03/2006 18:55

Congrats on the scans ladies :)
Well done puddytat!
Hugs to HC hope you're feeling a bit better today.
Think I've missed kayzed to say bonvoyage!
Deblaca - I've been feeling definite kicks for a while now - I can feel them if I put my hand on my belly and even see my belly 'jump' with some of them. DP can't feel them yet even though he's seen them. Is this your first? Because I know you feel them later with your first than your second.

kbaby · 11/03/2006 20:25

Congrats on all of you that had your scans.

Anyone still really tired? Im in bed by 10 each night. I cant remember feeling this way with DD.
Went to get measured today at M&S but I had to book an appointment and because I didnt they were fully booked all day. Im not keen on the mothercare bras so I still dont know what size I am.

We went out for a meal last night and 2 women said to me ' not long to go now' they almost fell over when I said not until July.

OP posts:
deblaca · 11/03/2006 20:39

yes aggie this is my first - so everything's new - altho i am feeling a lot more 'bubbling' hiccupping kinda thing - how lovely to seeing you belly jump!!!

kbaby i'm up and down with the tiredness - i definately do 'sink' in the evenings

spending my saturday night checking out cloth nappies on the net - umm how life has changed.

deblaca · 11/03/2006 20:43

kbaby i can completely empathise - i got chatting to a pg lady yesterday who was telling me she's due in 10 days time and when i told her i was due in july, she almost shouted JULY back at me - and I though at least there would be some solidarity amongst pg women - hmm

bumpybel · 11/03/2006 22:00

Evening girlies!

Have spent the whole sodding day revising with the motivation that I could plonk myself infront of the computer for an hour at the end of it!! Easily pleased!

Puddy - good for you girl. When I first read your post about the insensitive baffoon I pondered over a load of useful and discreet ways you could get revenge, such as a discreet laxative in his coffee!(goodness, I thought it was a sweetener) wiping dog poo in his coat!(by accident of course) *spreading a rumour that he was actually born a woman and is in a relationship with a transvestite called Margery. Grin However your way is much more professional and seems to have done the trick!!!

HC... hope youre feeling less weepy today chick. I bawled all Tuesday night and then panicked that I was upsetting the bump and so tried to force myself into a happy mood. Didnt really work though.. just felt false! Have you planted your hanging baskets yet? Seeing lots of bright flowers might help! I'm pants in the garden but have actually managed to grow some daffodils this year... seven of them! Wahoo! Smile

Thanks for the heart beat reassurances... have felt lots of movement since and can see my tummy moving about too, which is fab. And thanks for being so nice about weight gain Blossom! I'm going to have to rejoin WW after all this! Either that or breast feed like buggery!

Havent had puffy ankles yet, but havent really been paying attention to them, so might have had a few puffy moments without knowing about it!! The dark belly button line has come with a vengeance though... its almost appeared quite prominently overnight! Nice! Havent had a leaky boob for a few days though, which is good news!

Glad the scans etc have been going well... Kayzed.. if you do manage to get onto a comp, hope you're having a lovely time!

Kbaby.. I've been getting similar 'not long to go?' type comments and the look of shock is really un nerving! Half the people making the comments could do with shedding a few pounds! At least you have an excuse for having a big tummy!!!
Smile

... before I go... does anyone know how to get black waterproof mascara out of gold coloured carpets? I splattered a blob of it on the carpet this morning and its made a right mess!

bumpybel · 11/03/2006 22:03

... sorry for mega post.. got carried away!

puddytat99 · 12/03/2006 15:39

I'm glad everyone's scans went well.

Bumpy - thanks for all the revenge ideas, I nearly wet myself reading them.

everyone keeps saying that I have a small bump but I'm sure that's because I've filled in all the gaps first around my waist and hips before filling out up front. Also because my boobs are so huge, they make my belly look small.

Have felt lots of kicks (being booted right now) which is lovely to feel. DH and DS have both felt a few and DH has seen movement. He has chats with the baby in the evening which usually sets it off going crazy and I get kicked, punched, etc. Probably helps that Dh has such a deep voice. Does a great sexy impression of Sean Connery Wink

I've been lucky so far that my boobs haven't leaked. Not looking forward to that happening.

I scared some students the other night. While we were out, we caught the bus home and by the time it came to our stop it was packed with students, all standing up. DH went first and I forward , sticking my bump out as far as I could. I've never seen students move so fast. It was like Moses parting the sea. Bless them!!! Grin

HumphreysCorner · 12/03/2006 17:49

Evening girls

Had a terrible emotional day yesterday-DH told me to leave the table as DD was getting to me. She did 2 poos in her pants and loads of wees and along with messing about at the tea table it was the final straw-I just couldn't stop crying. DH has entertained her alot today to give me a breather and so far so good. Have next week off work so that will be good.

bumpybel-not quite time for hanging baskets yet, am itching to get outside but far too cold at the mo. I am a gold member at Weight Watchers-I mean, what sort of an advert am I ????? Will have to lose weight before I rejoin-lol!

Better get on with tea-DD is so tired and refuses afternoon naps so hope we don't have a repeat of teatime last night. Perhaps she will be an angel and eat all of her tea Grin.

Love to all

pinkdolly · 12/03/2006 20:41

Hi everyone,
Just dropping in to say hi before I go to my scan tomorrow! yeah!. It's at 9.40 and parking is horrendous at the hospital so we are leaving at about 9ish..

Been to kernow doc again this morning (been so much lately they have a seat reserved just for me!). DD2 has chickenpox. Not too bad but scratching like mad. Dear of her. I've had it so am ok with the baby.

HC - {{{{{{HUG}}}}}} Being PG is emotional enough, but when you have the strain of a little one around it can be extra tough. I have had to leave the room on occassion to stop losing my temper with the girls, and then there have been other times when I haven't left. Then of course you feel really guilty about being a bit too harsh on your little one. I completely sympathise with you. You need a nice warm bath and some TLC, maybe some retail therapy. Anything that will take your mind of it enjoy yourself for a bit.

BTW - How old is your DD, my youngest will be 3 in August and she too is refusing her meals and then creating when I wont give her anymore to eat. It really winds me up sometimes. I try not to pressure her into eating but just make sure that I do not give into her demands for more food if she hasn't eaten her dinner.

Well- I will pop in after my scan tomorrow, hopefully with news on what i'm having. I am too impatient to wait until baby is here, I want to know now!
Goodnite ladies and have a good day tomorrow.

bumpybel · 12/03/2006 20:49

Evening!

HC you poor thing... sounds like you could do with a nice pampering day at a health spa. I havent got a clue about potty training etc, but if you stick with it long enough its bound to work eventually isnt it? Fingers crossed that things get a bit easier for you Smile. I'm a gold WW member too and apparently (in the small print) you can rejoin for free after a baby if you are a gold member, no matter when you last went. I'll be heavier than ever when i go back!!! Still carry my keyring around like a sad fool though!

Puddy, LOL at your Moses-sea account! I stick mine out if I'm shopping so people dont barge their trolleys too near me!

Nearly twenty four weeks, which means nearly six months! Wahoo! Cant wait to get Tues out of the way to start concentrating on baby type things.

Night all xxx

bumpybel · 12/03/2006 20:51

Pink.... good luck for tommorrow chick Smile

HumphreysCorner · 12/03/2006 22:18

Morning all - had a bit of an odd weekend. Had some old friends over on Saturday, they came for lunch and then we went out in the evening - which was really nice (although I had to go up to bed at 11, couldn't keep eyes open). However, they then stayed over as it's about 2 hrs drive back to theirs. At about 1pm on Sunday, when we'd had a late breakfast and were just sitting about, I just had a real urge to tell them to just go home, just couldn't deal with being around people :( but of course couldn't do that so sat feeling miserable for the next three hours (oh and doing battle with the washing line getting stuff on the whirlygig in a howling gale). Then when they finally did go (with me feeling guilty) I watched a crappy film without seeing it and then burst into floods of tears for no reason, just felt really really sad all of a sudden. DH was great, cooked me a bit of supper and ran me a bath (which of course made me weep even more). Had an early night, but still had to prise myself out of bed this morning.

Just feel a bit guilty for having not that much to cry about (apart from hormones), and it worries DH. Got to get ready for work now, sorry for long post, hopefully I'll be back to happy self soon.

HumphreysCorner · 13/03/2006 08:31

maewest-((((xxxx)))) to you-I understand how you feel. Take care.
