I just got my Down's blood test results back: Risk is 1:7863
I've yet to google but that seems like an OK result?

Oh my word, people go fucking nuts for the Next sale! Never seen anything like it. Did manage to get two pairs of maternity jeans though, including a pair of skinnies that came up full price as they'd been labelled wrongly for the sale, so they had to reduce them anyway! All hail the elasticated waistband! (lovely news Bunty, can't wait to find out if ours is a boyby or a girlby!)

And updating list with new EDD and next scan date. I'm actually having to have a ELCS at 37 weeks which will put me at about 20/12/2012 , but as my official EDD is Jan, I'm staying here!!

Those blood results sound fine to me Octane, I'm still waiting for mine...

I'm just having a look at the next sale online. With Maternity clothes is it best to go a size bigger than your pre-pregnancy size to accommodate the extra bum and thighs that seem to be appearing too or does maternity wear take this into account. For example I'm usually a size 10, but things are getting a bit tight, should I go for a 12?

Order your normal size and it will have been adjusted to fit. If you are borderline maybe go for the bigger one.

I'm currently sitting in a Jimmy Carr gig and I've just had to undo my jeans, they were so tight!! Thank god we're sitting near the back - wouldn't want to have to explain that one... I might need to buy some maternity jeans soon...

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages :) currently having a nice night away with hubby (being antisocial for the moment to catch up on mumsnet and Facebook!), and discussing names - unfortunately he has vetoed Sadie, pascha!

He is such an 80's child - every name he likes is an 80's girls name. I can see this being difficult!

Congrats bunty!

I started getting paranoid the last few days as I haven't put any weight on and I couldn't feel any movements when I was sure i'd felt them before. No need though, just had our gender scan and all is fine!! And we're having a little girl! I cried with happiness (not normally a crier!) .

She also did basic checks to make sure everything seems ok which has made me a bit less nervous of the 20 week scan.

How exciting to be finding out genders! My DH is still firmly in the "wait 'til it arrives camp". I'm keeping my fingers crossed that baby will make it obvious at the 20 week scan.

Have the next week off work, thank goodness. Been so ill lately, first the ear infection then last night woke up with eyes swollen shut - allergic reaction to the Antibiotics. So now I'm sore and itchy and I had to stop taking the ABs, so the ears aren't going to get any better. Sigh. Fingers crossed baby is blissfully unaware of all this!

I,ve got my scan tomorrow am both scared and excited. Got mummy to hold my hand though.

Can I ask a dense question? I thought that if you wanted to know the gender it was at the 20 week scan that they told you but you guys have yet to have your 20 week scan??

I think some people have paid for private gender scans, others are guessing based on their 12 week scans (there's a theory about horizontal vs. vertical nubs, eg here

I'm on day 4 with no morning sickness. How important is the whole 'lying on your back' thing? It's the only way I can sleep at the moment, of I sleep on either said I get back ache.

Re the scan we paid £79 for a private one with Babybond. I just wanted a bit f extra reassurance between the 12 week and 20 week one and also means we should get double confirmation that she's a girl (as I know sometimes they get it wrong!).

We didn't find out with DD1 as we're quite traditional but this time I just couldn't wait to find out!
