Hey dontmind how are things today?x

SpringFlowers · 02/07/2012 11:32

I think there might be some scans today, I hope they go well.

Don'tmind How are you? I hope you are ok and the bleeding has subsided. I did have brown cm from week 5 to 9 and the baby is fine. I also had one red bleed which was scary but again everything was ok.

SquealyB · 02/07/2012 11:39

Dontmind - how are you doing today hon?

Godzookey - can't believe that your hospital have been so rubbish but great to see the little one!! They should have space to fit you in, they usually leave some slots free for emergencies etc.

My challenge for today is to avoid the vending machine at work! Despite trying to convince myself otherwise skittles are clearly not one of my five a day Wink. Now my nausea has passed, I am trying to make a conscious effort to eat more fruit and veg. and less rubbish.

Good luck with any scans today and let us know how you get along!

DontmindifIdo · 02/07/2012 11:50

Hi all, still bleeding, still dark brown and trying not to panic.

I've called the hospital seems my appointment wasn't lost, they forgot to make one! I Obviously sounded like 'a woman on the edge' when they told me so now I'm booked for 11th July, which is just 12 weeks. have booked the whole day off work as I have a horrible feeling it will be bad news and don't want to have to go back to the office afterwards Sad

Anyway, good luck to everyone else having scans today, hope to hear lots of good news!

CreepyCrawly · 02/07/2012 12:05

I have my scan in 2 hours time. I'm so nervous, I feel sick. Just want it over and done with. Feeling very sensitive and hormonal today, and spent the morning crying down the phone at my sister, bless her. All the best to everyone else with scans today :)

mrsbugsywugsy · 02/07/2012 12:46

Good luck creepycrawly and anyone else with scans today.

Have been feeling very tired and emotional all weekend, I cried on sunday afternoon because I took the wrong turn when I was driving somewhere.

I am completely shattered, the bl**dy cat woke me up in the night twice to bring me 'presents'. God, if this is how I feel after one night's broken sleep, how am I going to cope with a baby???

SquealyB · 02/07/2012 13:18

Dontmind - we are scan date buddies. What time is yours scheduled for? Are they not in a position to see you earlier due to the bleeding? You are doing a great job staying positive. Please take heart from all of the experiences on here of bleeding and then a positive result. Maybe you can use the day off afterwards to celebrate if the news is good ?

Creepy - fingers crossed it all goes well x

DontmindifIdo · 02/07/2012 13:31

hi Squealy, 2pm, they could offer 8am but I need to be able to drop DS at nursery and then do the 30 min drive to hospital and that's not going to work.

Spoke earlier to the community midwife who said that if I get red blood or period like pain I'm to call the emergancy gyne at the hospital and they'll do an early scan/check there's nothing wrong - it took a lot of effort not to say anything silly when she asked me "now dear, has your cervix given you many problems?" coupled with (what I think was) a West Yorkshire accent, it just sounded a rediculous thing to say. (She rephrased it when I paused to basically ask if I'd bled when pg with DS).

Trying to stay positive, just going to get lots of rest.

Godzooky, have you been able to get through to the hospital yet?

SpringFlowers · 02/07/2012 14:11

Dontmind As you are bleeding you could call the emergency number. If you said that you had pain they wouldn't know if you were being truthful. You are bleeding and the 11th is too long to wait. When I had my second early scan due to bleeding the sonographer could see and explain where the blood was coming from. It really helped me because I understood what was happening. I would call them and arrange to be scanned.

DiscoDomina · 02/07/2012 14:23

Dontmind I totally agree with Spring the 11th is too long to wait- you should def get early scan to put your mind at ease.

allchik · 02/07/2012 14:39

Me 3 get an early appointment! The wait is like bloody torture n wont do u any good!x

theboutiquemummy · 02/07/2012 15:31

CreepyCrawly good luck x

Mrsbugdywugsy I'm emotional at the moment too, but I think it could be lack of sleep Sad

TMI TMI warning anyone else having trouble with their number 2's it's either like pooing a pine cone or it's tummy ache and well you know the rest Blush still waiting to glow !!

allchik · 02/07/2012 15:50

boutique its crap isnt it!(excuse the pun!) I was really struggling with going to the loo but now its the opp problem!!..Im also like a human wind machine,spotty,weepy,crampy,puky!...but happy too :)
I fear I may never glow, unless by glow they mean sweat,in which case Im glowing heaps!x

pmgkt · 02/07/2012 16:26

Sorry girls but I think the glow is a myth, I never had it with my first and don't know many people who did. But the plus side is it is better than first 12 weeks

BumgrapesofWrath · 02/07/2012 16:27

Can I join the thread please?

Had my 12 week scan today, and found out I am due 10th January! I'm 30 at the moment and should be 31 when the baby arrives.

This will be DC2, have a 21 month DS running around here. I have been a lot sicker this time around...

pmgkt · 02/07/2012 16:42

Hi grapes. Congrats and well done for being able to wait til after your scan before joining!

DontmindifIdo · 02/07/2012 17:01

Well I called, it seems the midwife or GP has to refer me (this is one of the many things I hate about the otherwise excellent NHS, no one seems to know what's going on ) cant get the midwives and getting to see my GP is like trying to get an audience with the pope. I'm therefore going to leave it for today as (drum roll) bleeding has stopped this afternoon, if it starts again tomorrow I'll keep leaving messages at the midwife and claim pains.

Welcome grapes!

I also have horribly spotty skin today, however I did look fabulous and have the glow with DS from 36weeks, it's just that's when my hips stopped working and I just sat on the sofa feeling sorry for myself, this time round (assuming baby sticks) I will finally look fabulous in time for Christmas...

mrsbugsywugsy · 02/07/2012 17:01

boutique the main thing which helps me is always having some kind of soft fruit in front of me - something small that i can constantly pick at, like grapes or cherries. it just about keeps things moving at the moment.

ChutesTooNarrow · 02/07/2012 17:12

I have been swigging lactulose since my BFP. Am dreading getting as constipated as did in last pregnancy. Will also make sure have vat sized quantities on standby for the fortnight after birth.

I didn't glow last time either, was just a bit rubbish at being pregnant and signed off work for ages for being exhausted. I need it to be different this time round as can't get signed off from looking after a toddler.

I really hope that is it for the bleeding dontmind

octanegirl · 02/07/2012 17:16

Hope today's scans went well. Mine is tomorrow morning so not long to wait now.....

CreepyCrawly · 02/07/2012 17:29

Scan was all good, the baby was doing the worm which was quite bizarre! Had its hand my it's face the entire time so got a shy one I think!

Good luck for tomorrow octanegirl :)

CreepyCrawly · 02/07/2012 17:30

Also have a new EDD of 13/1/13, which I think looks very nice! If someone could edit my info on the list, that'd be great. I'm also 21 :)

SquealyB · 02/07/2012 19:12

Great news creepy

Good luck for tomorrow octanegirl

Welcome grapes impressed with your discipline. I could not wait to start nattering on here.

Don't even mention the number 2 issues. I am either one way or the other but never just normal at the moment!!

SquealyB · 02/07/2012 19:13

Also dontmind glad to hear the bleeding has stopped (touch wood and all that). I am really glad mine is at 9.20 am as will be so nervous.

godzookey · 02/07/2012 20:22

Evening All,
Don't mind - am keeping everything crossed that that's the end of the bleeding.

I totally hear you about getting a decent appointment, finally got through to the hospital at lunchtime and re-iterated at least a dozen times that i've got 9 working days left to have the combined scan - the woman/dozy reprobate i spoke to didn't really seem to understand the sense of urgency, said she'd let her 'colleague' know and thought it would re-assure me to tell me that there are 19 people before me!!

They'll never get to me in time, i just know it. How on on earth, your hospital could have forgotten to book your scan - words fail me, honestly it's not like you've booked in for a hair cut - JEEZUS!! Makes me cross just thinking about it.

Good luck to everyone having their scans tomorrow! xx
