panpipe that seems really expensive for a changing bag, too posh to put dirty nappies in that's for sure. I am waiting for the John Lewis sale next week to hopefully get one then.

rumours kind MIL bought us the bugaboo bee, it ticks all the boxes I think and you can have fun with the colours (although I bought the black one because I have a lamb skin liner on my wish list which I think will look nice with it)

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 15:20

That's lush PanPipe! I've just seen [[http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+babymel-slouchy-changing-bags-in-baby-changing-bags-and-mats+B9988 this one] which I think I prefer to the other one! It has the 'stroller straps' (as does the other one) which is super useful. I like how this doesn't look like your average changing bag (in the shape)...

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 15:23

Oh and thanks all for the peace of mind. I will call MW tomorrow morning. I'm sure it's just iron levels :)

panpipe · 14/06/2012 15:26

I'm very unlikely to get that one Welsh as there's no way I can justify spending that on any bag really, let alone one to carry poo around in! Good point re JL sale though; will have to try there too.

hamncheese · 14/06/2012 15:32

Interesting about johnsons and your thrush vino ... My mum used that johnsons gradual tan cream and totally puffed up and had to go on steriods. She years later tried their hand cream and the same, though to a lesser extent, happened. Just found it really surprising as they make all the baby products... Re: your DH I used to get thrush a lot when on the pill (one of the many I tried, and all had problems, thank god there's none of that just now!!) anyway never abstained because of it, especially as it was on and off and never that bad but never totally gone, and he never needed any treatment. This is just what happened for me/him though!

OH just saw what woopsi said! Totally don't trust Johnsons now!

Hope it's nothing to worry about frilly if it was anything dangerous I'm sure they would have contacted you through phone not letter x

SO cervix pains, low down on bump ache/stitches and period type cramps for many of us. I just went out to do some reading at the library which is situated on the other side of the hill that is known as my university and as soon as I started walking I got such low down aches, so bad... not to mention totally dead legs from the steps. Anyone else's feet and calves feel rock hard sore all the time, and sore to touch? ANYWAY! In the library I'm reading and then I realise, I can feel that bit between the ribs, under boobs, where my stomach used to me. Normally there is a big old baby bum there. Don't know if it is my imagination but could baby have moved down/engaged??? Reading online this is meant to happen in the last 4 weeks of a first pregnancy and not before, to talk to MW about it if it happens before. I'm only 32 weeks. Mind you, really wouldn't mind LO coming as soon as 37 weeks come! So I'm adding it to the MW question list for tomorrow.

Another one on the list is why am I getting blurred vision in one eye, only on a little patch of what I can see, especially when reading? I get the feeling this info might worry them? Anyone else got this? Hoping it's just down to intensive computer staring/reading!!

ishopthereforeiam · 14/06/2012 15:46

Ohhh woopsi did your baby's eczma clear up? DD had it v badly particularly up til 8-9 months bt still has it now at 18mo although less severe? She has special creams and bath oils on prescription but her skin does get v dry... I wonder (and sort of asusme) if this dstobe will have it too.

panpipe I was the percy pigs fiend. Seeriously ate packets of them (bought 8 in one go) they are sooo addictive! Will have to try the caterpillars now Grin

frilly hope you are ok? I would have guessed, like others mentioned, it's probably low iron and you may need some supplements.

Interesting point on low blood pressure I was feeling faint again this morning (my fault for getting the tube into town on 2 hours sleep then wanderng around the sales - madness) and thought it was tiredness or low iron but will get it all checked when I am at appointments next week. Also going to ask for meds re sleeping now as it is making me miserable.

Changing bags - cliche I know but I love the yummy mummy ones although I have this one from dd and also indulged in this exravaganza although not at the retail price!

Rumours, so sad to hear your news. Sad Thoughts are with you and your family.
Vino, i use the delightfully named Femfresh wash especially for that area and have done for years as am easily aggravated and prone to cystitis. It's often in offer at Boots and a bottle lasts ages. Poor you though, it is grim.
Frilly, that bag is lovely. I also got a Skiphop one and can't wait to use it. Lovely idea for photoshoot, can't wait to see photos!
Ham, yes, I've also had that wierd vision thing. Like a wavy line of blurryness in the middle of my line if sight. Happened when iIwas out with the dog. V odd.
Currently in hairdressers in London. Phew! Then back to Dsis for supper and to see nephew and baby niece etc which will be fun. Did note however that not a single person helped me with my bags up and down stairs etc Angry.
Let's hope the aches ease off a bit as they are tedious. Just want to meet my baby now! X

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 16:40

MW texted and it's just low iron...phew Smile

hamncheese · 14/06/2012 16:58

miggins I'm (sort of) glad you have the vision thing it is exactly as you described, a line in the middle! I've just googled blurred vision pregnancy... it's one of the pre-eclampsia things but it says if it goes away in under 2 hours it isn't as worrying. Mine comes and goes so hopefully nothing to worry about. Going to MW tomorrow anyway so will ask then and let you know if it's something of concern.

Glad it's just that frilly !

ImissMiniPop · 14/06/2012 17:36

Really sorry to hear about your DPs Mum rumours, sending you lots of hugs and love at this really difficult time, I hope you all have the support you need. :( Also glad they discovered your clot in time, what symptoms were you getting? (Sorry if you've already said up thread!).

Glad to read everyone is coming a long nicely, bar a few aches and pains. :)

MiniPop is still doing ok so far, putting on a bit of weight (up to 3.7lbs now) and is filling out a bit now. Have been getting a lot more kangeroo cuddles now, although he was a bit grumpy today as he'd not pooped for a bit and was in discomfort.

He's also learning how to suck and swallow at the moment, so we've had to give him a teeny tiny dummy so he can build up muscles in his mouth to help when breast feeding, and he's been on the boob a couple of times to get him used to the feel and to help train him what to do. He pulls a very cute boobie face. :o

MrsMigginslovespies · 14/06/2012 17:49

Ahhh, lovely to hear Imiss! Glad all is going well.

Thanks, Ham. My bp is quite low but will be interested to hear what she says. Maybe my brain is melting! I've only had it once and it didn't last too long. Good luck with your visit.
Have nice hair and about to meet dsis etc. Yay! X

Loupee · 14/06/2012 18:14

quick I know how you feel in regards to the shopping, although I live close to Straiton and there is no Dorothy Perkins there Smile I just ended up ordering online, got some second hand bits through Ebay.
so sorry to hear that rumours its never easy.

My DH is all packed up, he's away with work again tomorrow, this time for 6 weeks, due back on my due date, so I'll be keeping my legs tightly crossed. Feeling miserable at the thought of him going, should be used to it with his job, but the timing is truly shit this time, and my hormones probably aren't helping either! Need to figure out how I'll fill my time for the next 6 weeks. Ho Hum...

Vinolover · 14/06/2012 18:40

I've just had a successful shower using imperial leather skin kind... Phew! I was a bit nervous I have to say lol. If this doesn't work out MrsM then I will have to give the femfresh a go. May have to order it online though Wink

I really hope the next 6 weeks go quickly for you Loupee! Fingers crossed baby stays put until he's home!

Such good news about minipop Imiss :) I bet he looks absolutely adorable with his diddy dummy!

Anybody else really eager to meet their baby now? I've been excited about him all through my pregnancy but getting his stuff together now, and especially having his carseat, Im just like an impatient child at christmas Grin. Roll on 8 weeks!!!

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 19:31

Yay Pop! I'm SO glad he is doing well Smile Been thinking about you all. How's the flat hunt going? X

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 20:17

Do I need to buy a baby bath?! Hmm Blush

Vinolover · 14/06/2012 20:20

I've got a baby bath but it's personal choice! I used a baby bath on my other two for a good while which is why I got one this time. :)

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 20:34

What kind did you get, vino? How early can you use them from?

Vinolover · 14/06/2012 20:59

I got a normal baby bath from mothercare (it's blue with a bus and car on the side I think) and I got a plastic moulded baby bath support to go in it so you don't have to worry about having a wriggly, slippery and crying newborn in your arms whilst you're trying to get to grips with bathing them. You basically place the baby (from birth) on the support in the bath (can be used in baby bath or your own bath) and it completely frees up your hands and they are fully supported! Hope this helps :)

frillylemons · 14/06/2012 21:11

Ooh super! Thank you x

ffscatmove · 14/06/2012 21:17

Glad to hear that Vino, I got a baby bath from Freegle & a bath support from a friend then everything I read seemed to say they weren't worth it but I can't bear the thought of trying to bath LO in the giant tub without drowning him/her
Anyway, have some cheery news to share - had my growth scan today, baby is perfectly normal size, thyroid function stable & cervix holding up & so consultant has handed me back to community care Grin
(or is that care in the community? Hmm )
Slightly scary - estimated weight just under 4 lb so if s/he gains the lb per week up to 37 weeks I keep reading about then we're looking at 9lb ish. Gulp!

32 + 0 btw!

susiegrapevine · 14/06/2012 21:20

vino thats mad re the thrush and not giving you the pessary my docs gave it to me straight away and i've never had thrush before! He just told me to be careful when inserting it. If you have thrush you should not use any soap down there as that can be what causes it, i just use water but you can use femfresh soap as it the right ph for down there, changing the ph of the skin is what causes the thrush. Never use any soap again.
Strange thing is i was allergic to johnsons when a baby and since having ds have found out i am still allergic! but he is not!

rumours sorry for your loss my thoughts go out to you and all your family.

Had a fab day today took ds who is feeling much better to a party then the park after he had a fab time. my mum came round and our crazy arguement is forgotten! My legs were so achy had to get up at quarter to 6 this morn, went back to bed after a wee and walk tho. Get stitch in my bump if i walk too quick no cervix pain tho. Had a hayfever attack in the park today.

susiegrapevine · 14/06/2012 21:30

Oh yeah ham forgot to say i got that blurred vision the other day but i realised it was because i hadn't eaten my lunch as was so busy with my dad's business and i guessed it must be low blood sugar as soon as i downed a glass of ribeana it went back to normal nearly straight away so it could be that if you were concerntrating away in the library.

tashaw28 · 14/06/2012 21:57

rumours so sorry for your DP

Poppy great news, hope he gets big and fat and strong v quickly!

Loupee wow 6 weeks is a long time, what does he do? Think he'll owe you a big baby push present when he's back!!!

I've been having trouble walking, lots of pain in my groin and pelvis, am really waddling and am only 30+5!
Am kind of hoping weather turns soon as am getting soooo sick of trying to put socks etc on, and wanna make the most of having no regrowth of hair on my legs! Must be hormones but I did them weeks and weeks ago and they're still smooth!

The3Bears · 14/06/2012 22:15

frilly you dont need a baby bath but they are much easier ds went in his til he was about 7-8 months old so definitely not a waste of money imo. For this baby I have got this one www.mamasandpapas.com/product-acqua-two-stage-ergo-bath-pearl-white/4538472/type-i/?cm_re=BathTime--Banner--ErgoBath you really need some type of support as babies are so wriggly and especially if partner is at work and cant help you, I got this bath as we got a normal one for ds with the fabric/foam support things but they kept going horrible/mouldy from being in the water so had to replace them a few times. Once your baby can sit up you can use the bath seats and there fab ds loved his :)

Marmite I dont think I could choose between the bee and cameleon I love them both but for ds I just used the cameleon from birth til 3 and he was really comfortable in it all the time, the bee is much lighter and mobile though so depends what would be easier for you.

Poppy So glad to hear Thomas is doing well, hope he continues to put on weight.

ffscat glad you scan went well, cant believe estimated weight is 4lb already no wonder we are all so achey now Grin

tashaw28 · 14/06/2012 22:33

Just found this website Babynames and think I'll be looking at it a lot as can't decide on a long list let alone a short list at the mo!
