Kate, i had absolutely no idea where it was until the mw showed me. Dp's face when he got in from work and copped a feel :o

Clarella · 12/06/2012 08:46

I definately felt it doing downward do at yoga last night! Like a balloon in my belly!

Clarella · 12/06/2012 08:47

*dog

gilsbubbles · 12/06/2012 09:00

Dare I say it out loud.....4 days in a row now of feeling ok. maybe just maybe the 2nd trimester is going to be easier.finally have my appetite back which is a big bonus.
Belly is rapidly expanding but no clear bump just yet. I'll need to give in and do some clothes shopping this weekend cause theres very little work stuff that still fits:-(
nipples have gotten a bit darker has anyone else noticed that?

Clarella · 12/06/2012 09:02

Upward dog. Bloody pregnancy brain.

Yep they're darker and very itchy! Good news in the sickness!

Bubbless · 12/06/2012 09:46

gils I'm feeling much much better recently as well, although the doc has signed me off for another week as my hyperemesis was pretty bad :/
Second trimester seems more and more exciting!

Anyone else finding that although their bellys are getting bigger there is no 'bump' as such?

CODwidow · 12/06/2012 10:30

Yes this Thursday, meeting a friend for brunch then having a nose around mothercare and mamas and papas and I think dh is taking me out for tea so should be nice.
Dh has bought a very nice changing bag for my birthday it's an il tutto Ava and its gorgeous!

Clarella · 12/06/2012 10:34

Oooo brunch.... mmmm. Is it time?

CODwidow · 12/06/2012 10:48

Ha ha so far I've had a bowl of bran flakes and banana, then 2 teacakes and a cup of tea then a tiramisu I had in the fridgeBlush I'm going out now so I can stop eating Blush

knottyhair · 12/06/2012 10:50

Have a lovely day on Thursday CODwidow. Definitely brunch time. I've had a crumpet with marmite, and 2 slices of malt loaf with butter so far.

Stacks · 12/06/2012 10:54

We're not going to buy much baby stuff till closer to the end of the year, just not worth storing it all for that long. Also, an empty nursery will be easier to decorate. I do have a pram, crib and car seat ready though, as my sister is passing them on. They're all in storage at my Dad's currently.

I think my 'bump' is very noticeable, but only to me. If I look down at my belly it looks very round and sticks out - however if I turn sideways on and look in a mirror it's not at all noticeable. I weighed myself again this morning, and have still only put on 1kg overall, so it must all just be a different shape than I'm used to.

CODwidow · 12/06/2012 11:07

We have 5 dc's to buy for this Xmas plus the other bits for Xmas so hoping to get most of the baby bits each month. I'm happy with second hand as well so that makes it cheaper. My pram is the only really costly thing as I'd like a bugaboo bee plus which is about £300 second hand.

lauraloo09 · 12/06/2012 11:11

morning all hope you are all well - Im feeling pretty lousey today got a stinking migraine and could do without work. It's also my DD's 3rd birthday next weekend and i dont know what to get her, got her a peppa pig camper van and a styling head (she loves doing peoples hair) i was thinking of getting her an outside playhouse but with this weather how much use will she get out of it so im now thinking do i get her a pop up wendy house so she can use it in the house too? If anyone has any ideas what to get a 3 yr old who acts if she is 10 please let me know...was going to get her a lalaloopsy doll but her godmother is getting her that lol

Stacks · 12/06/2012 12:39

Do we really have no one here expecting twins? I thought with how many of us there are we'd at least get one.

I was bored last night and looked through the due dates on the list - 12/12/12 is the most popular EDD I wonder what made us all so fertile that day? Full moon perhaps?

laura hope the migraine goes away soon. I've no idea for your DD's present sorry.

livismum · 12/06/2012 12:52

Still a few scans to go (mine Inc!) so might be some twins yet! (although not me please!)
Got DD1 off school today with the sickness I had on Sunday, enjoying having another lazy day but my house is a tip Smile
Laura (nice name- mine too!) have u looked at the dream town houses etc? Mine have the shop and the stable (with horse) like the Wendy houses of old with rods, so good sizes, ours are down at the mo but they use them a lot inside and out. The other things the girls love is their toy story toys! Mine have so much have no clue what we are going to do for Christmas!

knottyhair · 12/06/2012 13:51

Laura, don't know if this helps but I recently bought this for my friend's DDs who are 3 and 5 and they absolutely loved it.

Had yet another bacon sandwich for lunch... Feel absolutely knackered today which just makes the nausea worse. Getting a leetle bit fed up now.

ellliebelle · 12/06/2012 14:06

how many people are actually still.waiting for scans as like stacks says surely out of all these pregnancies i would have thought there would be at least 1 set, im still waiting for my scan and think dh might have some sort of breakdown if it was us........

CODwidow · 12/06/2012 14:44

Who hasn't had a scan, has had quite bad sickness (apparently this is the case with twins) and feels that their showing quite a bit??? Anyone? Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 12/06/2012 14:46

I'n still waiting, but had a very early scan that showed just the one fetal pole!

livismum · 12/06/2012 14:57

I haven't had hardly any sickness and showing about as much as I did with previous so would be very very shocked if it's me! Grin

knottyhair · 12/06/2012 15:06

I'm still waiting for a scan, have had horrible nausea but no actually throwing up, not really showing, I think my increased girth is a bacon sandwich baby.

giraffe213 · 12/06/2012 15:29

According to google (that trustworthy information source) the likelihood of having twins is 1.5 in 100 - there are about 75 of us I think so maybe it's not that surprising that nobody is having twins. Though it would be cool as long as it's not me... and also according to google it occasionally happens that twins are missed at the first scan and people find out much later on!

ellliebelle · 12/06/2012 16:01

god knows whats going on with my hormones..... just had a good ols sob that dd's class photo is 3 inch longer than last years..... last year i got a framed one this year thoughtvid be cheap and got it unframed with a view to reuse last years frame.....now ive stopped crying really cant believe how silly i was for crying :)

SpottyTeacakes · 12/06/2012 16:24

giraffe please don't say that, twins run in my family!

MyDaydream · 12/06/2012 16:43

I'm still to go but no sickness just nausea. I started feeling pregnant pretty much as soon as the sperm met the egg so there have been a few what if feeling it so early is because there's 2. After much thinking I've decided the answer to "what happens if it's twins?" is cry in the scan room. It's taken me weeks to get that far! Scan on Monday, to say so far I've been pretty chilled out the worrying has started.
