Purple, not deep vein thromb? Crumbs hope you're ok and get seen soon Xxx

Hugs to everyone feeling blue.

PurplePidjin · 10/06/2012 10:28

Yep, that one. Off to A and E now for an endless wait!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/06/2012 10:35

Oh I hope you're OK pidjin I don't know much about it tbh, keep us updated, I won't be doing anything but mnetting today!

Clarella · 10/06/2012 10:52

Oh no, keep us updated hope you get sorted. Hopefully the wait will be less if you're preg, seems to be a fast track ticket sometimes x

Queenofsiburbia · 10/06/2012 11:02

Thanks all for nice words. Mum much nicer this morning!

Good luck pidgin hope you don't have to wait too long and all goes ok.

Clarella · 10/06/2012 11:18

Queen, she probably wasnt really too sure what to say, also if you were quite slim before and have a narrow frame you'll probably show much earlier anyway. Know what you mean about feeling like the podge is piling on - I've always been slim and am small and any small weight gain is noticeable, and people comment, though also if they think I'm too slim. I definately felt happier when I was with all those preggo ladies at yoga on sat :) they all looked lovely

PurplePidjin · 10/06/2012 14:55

The very clever registrar spotted a scratch on my calf and has packed me off home with mega antibiotics and a weight off my mind! Very very relieved :o

Clarella · 10/06/2012 14:59

Fabulous result, cos that would have been a nightmare! Get better soon!

Currently tucked up in bed following 24 hours of nasty stomach cramps :(

WeeJo08 · 10/06/2012 15:12

Pidjin Glad everything turned out okay! I am sure you are super relieved :) Hooray for your registrar!

Clarella Is it a bug you have? Hope you feel a wee bit better after a rest.

I had my first bump-accompanied swim this afternoon Grin It was so brill to do a bit of gentle exercise and I loved being in the water. Definitely felt it in my tummy muscles! Just took it easy though - managed to do 20 lengths but kept it really slow and steady in the slow lane. Loved it! Got details about their membership as it is only £29 a month & includes swimming and the aqua fit classes. It's also on a month by month basis which suits.

FriendofDorothy · 10/06/2012 15:37

I have a question. I am about a size 18 so doubt I am going to have a visible bump for a while. However at the bottom of my tummy, just above my pubic bone, I can feel that is it a bit harder and it feels different to the fat bit of my belly. Is this normal? I presume that it is the top if my uterus.

Also I have quite a heavy feeling and some stretching sensations. Is that normal too?

Sorry for all the questions!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/06/2012 15:46

Hi Dorothy that is your uterus, I keep poking mine Wink

I keep getting those same sensations as far as I'm concerned it's completely normal.

Clarella I hope you feel better soon.

Glad it's good news Pidjin :)

Clarella · 10/06/2012 16:33

I think its a bug or a very irritated gut. Pretty puzzled by it but bloody painful.

Friend - yes think there's lots of stretching going to be going on over next few weeks!

Deffo finding swimming (when can make /be bothered) great. Was going to go this afternoon but tummy says no. I find it makes me loose any water retention :)

mama2many · 10/06/2012 16:47

Hiya its me Mama2threemaybemore - due Dec 31st DC#4
I had my scan and my due date is now 2nd jani have been following you guys but no tome to reply.
Sorry for all th losses and hardship in pregnancy.
Scan pics look amazing, i didnt get any as baby lOoked too small.

kateand2boys · 10/06/2012 17:16

Pidgin Glad you're feeling OK.

Queen Maybe your mom is concerned about the changes it will make to your relationship and wants to make sure you're both prepared. Not really her business, but she is your mom so probably keen to make sure you're ok. I can't imagine a time when I'll have to bite my tongue about my own children. Commenting about weight gain is rude, but for some reason people think you're fair game when you're pregnant.

Clarella Hope you feel better soon Smile

Dorothy What you can feel is the top of your uterus, the fundus or as DH likes to call it the crispy pancake. As your get bigger you can feel it more. I remember it being like the top of a balloon and much harder than I thought it would be.

I had a major meltdown this morning about whether our baby is OK. I have not felt this way with the other 2 and have no real reason to now, I just worry about everything. I think in part I was very young when I had the first 2 and didn't really know about things going wrong. I didn't even know anyone who'd had a miscarriage and now I've heard lots of sad stories and they're all playing in my mind. DH had to get me a paper bag to blow into Blush and then we had to explain to 2 puzzled boys, why mommy is behaving so strangely. Anyway, roll on Wednesday, when all the scans and tests are being done and hopefully I can relax.

itsMYNutella · 10/06/2012 17:32

Queen my mum excels at being tactless. She has been telling me for almost 20 years now that I would be really pretty if I lost a few pounds.

Then last year I did slim down a bit and I wa quite happy, when I visited friends they said "wow you look great" which was what I really needed. All my Mum managed was "you look...(noticeable pause) well". Ahhh great.

I'm sure she means well but it isn't always easy not to be offended.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 10/06/2012 18:46

Will let you know who guessed right on the nub theory in two weeks!

I had a terrible weekend, went to a wedding with dh yesterday that we were forced into going to with people that we don't really get on with, long story but it was terrible and I've had a headache all day because I'm so tired after yesterday.

Not only that but dh has just been in a mood about the fact we're not having sex. I don't want to until I've seen the dr about my cervix and I also would rather do anything else than have sex right now, I feel like crap. He's made me so angry and yet feel guilty at the same time.

MyDaydream · 10/06/2012 18:50

I hope everyone who is feeling I'll starts feeling better soon.
We've lost electricity in half our house so have spent today reading my baby book and sleeping. Hoping I can convince DP eating out is the only option for dinner I want something fancier than beans on toast which is all I'm able to provide with no electric!
I can't remember who was talking about the iced coffee but I've been thinking about making it since it came up. How many coffee ice cubes do you use for a glass?

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/06/2012 19:40

strawberry I know how you feel.. It is causing a bit of bad feeling/tension towards each other as I couldn't think of anything worse than getting down to any sort of 'business'. I'm knackered and could think of nothing worse after a long exhausting day with headaches and a screaming 2 year old. What's up with your cervix is everything ok, have I missed something?

brooke89 · 10/06/2012 19:55

Pidjin thats good news hope you feel better soon, you too Clarella

Kate Wednesday's not too far away though :) think possitive!

My belly is really hard too! It does actually feel like a balloon blown up too much!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 10/06/2012 20:04

Exactly cookies he seems to have been 'adjusting' to me being pregnant for a few weeks which has consisted of him being a bit shit about taking on more of my share of the housework and he seems to think this lovely behaviour coupled with my extreme exhaustion is somehow attractive?? What happened to candlelight and roses? boo hoo. He did come in to apologise after I called him something I won't repeat and explained that this is his baby too so he needs to pull himself together but it just shouldn't be happening in the first place.

I think my cervix will be ok but I had quite a lot of it cut away in December as I had some pre-cancerous cells, the mw told me to check with the consultant about sex and my appointment isn't until a week tomorrow.

On the plus side my pregnancy yoga starts tomorrow, the same class I took last time and I'm really looking forward to the relaxation!

Chloe55 · 10/06/2012 20:13

I'm on a promise after our scan tomorrow, can't be arsed though Blush although have been feeling a bit horny (in between feeling crappy) which is unlike me really.

strawberry I think, particularly in your case I would be adamant about waiting til you have seen doc. Let your dh know he is being out of order and that more he moans the less it makes you feel like having it in the first place. Why was the wedding so crap?

ellliebelle · 10/06/2012 20:28

kate, i know exactly how you feel with both dd's i never even thought anything terrible could happen but this time i am just so so worried and nervous although i also feel strangely calm at the moment as I know I cant know either way if things are still ok until my scan ( a week on thurs :()

we had friends staying with us this weekend and she is 25 weeks pregnant so even though we haven't had the scan yet I have told them as we were both pregnant together last time so its quite nice to chat with her. I mentioned to her that im thinking of a home birth and she went on to tell me a horror story about a friend of a friend who had a home birth recently, now this is all I can think of and its really upsetting me as I feel what i wanted to be special has now been ruined as this will always be in the back of my mind and may make me change my choices :(

total change of subject, do any of you with 3 or more children have them sharing bedrooms? my 2 dd's share mainly because they wanted to, we do have a 3rd bedroom but this is a playroom at the moment which the girls love and is really handy for my work (im a childminder) I plan for baby to be in our room for quite a while as i will hopefully bf and found co-sleeping much more convenient for this with dd2 however im then not really sure what to do with regards to sleeping. The girls room would fit a 3rd single bed in and there would still be plenty of floor space (and we may even get bunks for the girls) and i feel i would like them all to share as i dont want one of them to be left out i dont really know what i want anyone to say :) just interested in other peoples ideas on what they would do?

so sorry for massive long post im not great at getting to the point :)

SpottyTeacakes · 10/06/2012 20:33

ellie I would put them in the same room until they start moaning about it?!

Dp and I haven't had sex since conception Blush he knows he has to wait until after the birth scan Grin

ellliebelle · 10/06/2012 20:42

haha spotty when i was pregnant with dd1 i was very up for it and our sex life did resume to pretty normal after her birth, I fell pregnant with dd2 and was i was the total opposite i think we maybe had sex once in pregnancy (i don't think dh was awfully happy about this) after she was born i just didn't seem to regain my sex drive, i put it down to breast feeding and then down to anti depressants and it caused some major rows between me and dh, lack of intimacy was actually the only relationship issue we had, it wasn't just sex i didn't even want to kiss/hug or even hold hands etc then all of a sudden when when dd2 was 2 and about 3/4 months it all came back and i actually felt like i had missed out and really missed my dh, so far this pregnancy things seem ok, we aren't at it like rabbits or anything but i would say our sex life is probably average for couples with 2 young children

with regards to the 3 of them sharing would you say this would also be ok if baby is a boy?
