Chocolate croissant!
Is a 2nd breakfast at 9am acceptable?! I was good and had cereal the 1st time!

knottyhair · 09/06/2012 09:38

I have to do a second breakfast! I have something at about 7am, then something else a couple of hours later. This morning it was cereal, skimmed milk & banana followed by wholemeal toast and marmite - could be worse I suppose. Managed to not give in to the bacon sandwich craving as I've scoffed one most days.

brooke89 · 09/06/2012 09:39

Nasara I'm with you on the soup with a crusty roll from marks mmmmmm

HoneyMum21 · 09/06/2012 09:41

Ugghhhhh. I feel sick and haven't been able to shake this headache for 2 days. I thought a good nights sleep would do it but hasn't. Really getting me down now. I want cocodamol!

WeeJo08 · 09/06/2012 10:38

Sausage sandwich for brekkie. It has protein and it's on wholegrain bread so completely healthy....right?!

Clarella · 09/06/2012 11:47

All utterly healthy. It's a 'wide and varied diet!'
Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish honey, is it possible you're a bit dehydrated? I've noticed I get very easily dehydrated which triggers head aches.

Just been to first preggo yoga which was nice if only cos it is actually nice to see other pregnant ladies! And Omg the ones who were 20 weeks were huge and first timers - there's gonna be a lot of stretching in the next 4 weeks! It was a little too gentle if anything but nice to know she knows what its like rather than the gay couple whose classes I go to who have tiffs over what to do with me and last time made me do this thing where I had to "f* the wall" which was a little embarrassing as everyone was standing on their heads while he said it.

No croissants in the shop on the way back. :( Making do with a crumpet.

Oo topshop dress came, an instant winner, really flattering and will wear after pregnancy :)

SpottyTeacakes · 09/06/2012 12:14

I know I shouldn't be having too much caffeine but I can't stop drinking Pepsi Max mmm nice and cold too! I'm so thirsty all the time!

PurplePidjin · 09/06/2012 12:21

Pepsi Max is caffeine free, i thought Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 09/06/2012 12:29

Sugar free not caffeine free. I don't know if you can get caffeine free Pepsi?

blackcurrants · 09/06/2012 13:13

I'm drinking sugar-free, caffeine-free coke. Or as DH puts it, helpfully, "brown water" (erm, thanks).

Actually I'm drinking an iced coffee right now- I freeze coffee into ice cubes and then pour over milk and a squoosh of sugar. It's bloody lovely, and starts very milky then slowly becomes stronger as the coffee melts. Great on a hot, sticky morning.

Last pregnancy I'd previously experienced a miscarriage and had no caffeine at all, ever. Many American women don't. All my English friends were having 2-3 cups of tea a day and the odd half-glass of wine ... and it's basically because the NHS releases accurate guidelines based on what's actually true (don't have too much caffeine, 200mg a day is TOO MUCH! - or Don't have too much booze, x amount is too much) wheras the American medical establishment treats pregnant women like imbecilic children.

/rant

Annnyway, this time around, what with work and DS, I'm unable to give up caffeine entirely. Couldn't face it for the first two months but now half a cup of coffee or a cup of tea a day is very pleasant. And I had two sips of DH's wine on Thursday night and was plastered!

HoneyMum21 · 09/06/2012 14:00

Thanks Clarella - i thought it might be dehydration yesterday but i made sure i drank loads and it didnt help. I've taken today off work and have been asleep till now, head still pounding but will keep sleeping and hope it goes away!

FriendofDorothy · 09/06/2012 14:53

mmmmmmm Waitrose lemon ice lollies. Yummy!

Clarella · 09/06/2012 14:57

Mmmmm wagamamas later!

Clarella · 09/06/2012 14:58

Hope you sleep it off honeymum. My headaches when I've had them definately last lots longer than usual .

HoneyMum21 · 09/06/2012 15:18

And now my eye has started twitchiing.Humph.Sorry for the moaning, just feeling sorry for myself today. Do i need to be worried about headaches and eye twitching at this point?

SpottyTeacakes · 09/06/2012 15:31

I wouldn't be worried Honey but if the headaches weren't going I would go to the doctor and get something stronger for them.

I had terrible migraines with dd which made me really sick so I really sympathise with you. Hopefully you have a good day on the way Smile

beccabubbless · 09/06/2012 15:37

clarella have you got a link for this topshop dress? everyone seems to love it so might be worth having a look!

livismum · 09/06/2012 16:51

Works on my phone! Looks nice! Smile

Cookiesandcream06 · 09/06/2012 18:30

I have this dress.. But in like a floral version! It was a little more.. £28/29? But I absolutely love it! Fully recommend and you can wear it after Smile

nasara · 09/06/2012 19:54

Mmm made leek and potato soup and my first batch of home-made bread today! I'm not Great British Bake-off material yet, but not bad for a first attempt Grin. DH has gone out to collect our curry mmmmm.

Chloe55 · 09/06/2012 20:00

Just a quickie-great scan news, need to google this nub theory.

honeymum I too have had a constant headache for 3 days, 4head and paracetamol doesn't touch it-sleeping helps. Eye twitching is a sign of tiredness-try and get more rest if you can Smile

Clarella · 09/06/2012 20:08

Pregnant ladies should not watch prometheus, not least because its shit. (and other reasons) Also note to self (and others) sit near aisle for easy wee access and not behind someone as necessary comfort leg arrangements result in kicking poor guy in front in head when sudden scary bit happens.

itsMYNutella · 09/06/2012 20:35

Hi everyone!
Well I got completely and unexpectedly overtaken by hormones today. We're off on our hols next week (2weeks, driving from here; Hannover Germany, to my Mum, near Biarritz) wanted to do some holiday shopping but choice here is poo!! So I was stroppy and grumpy (& feeling fat, I know I know!). Also was a bit angry and I knew I was being horrible. :(
DP and I were cycling to our fave coffee place (despite being miserable I refused to go home) when I stopped and asked DP if we could sit on a bench for a minute. Then I cuddled up to him and burst into tears!!! Poor DP is so lovely, he just cuddled me and rubbed my back. We had a little chat and suddenly I felt much better. Felt like a right loony! Confused
Sorry, its unlikely anyone is interested in me being a nutter but I am happy to have a place to whine and moan :)

ellliebelle · 09/06/2012 21:22

nutella totally feel for you :( hope you are feeling more cheery now

with dd1 we found out the sex, didnt with dd2 and i also told midwife delivering not to tell me and i found out for myself which was amazing :) i dont want to find out this time but dh does. im hoping i get my own way :)
