Well, just the one for me. Requisite number of limbs, brain hemispheres and vital organs present and correct. Nuchal measurement between 1.2 and 2.0, she took 1.5 as the best apparently. Heartrate 153.

These lists are very helpful. Thanks all..... Ive not bought anything yet, ive not even let myself coo over cute outfits as we will be moving to a larger appartment in September and don't want to have to move loads of baby stuff on top of all our crap... Plus i know once i start i wont be able to stop!!
I didnt know some prams had lead times... Maybe that will be the first thing i investigate.

Im now craving meatballs after all this talk of Ikea... Cant justify the two hour drive though so it'll have to be some more melon!!!

Its so nice to have this thread, especially during this first trimester where so many friends and family are still in the dark... Its cheered me up after having a rough day and having to phone in sick to work (done over 50 hours since wednesday with no day off in a bloody busy restaurant... Damn film festival!)

Hope you're all doing well

Ps online EDD is 17th December xx

PurplePidjin · 22/05/2012 18:35

PidjChick was very calm and cooperative until the scanner made me laugh...

Technically I'm also 30 Nov but figure I might as well stay here where I know people if that's OK? Measuring spot on for dates too

ivanapoo · 22/05/2012 18:36

Lovely news purple and issima

Were you nervous beforehand? Just curious really as feel quite nervous myself.

Clarella · 22/05/2012 18:37

mydaydream I dont know - not heard of that before.

'Sling meet' evokes an image akin to a bunch of mums meeting in a village square ala a hunt meet, sipping sherry and comparing (roman weapon) slings, before trotting off to hunt down a buggy at john lewis. :o !

no, i will definately go to one cos i bet depending on how broad your shoulders/ big your boobs are etc they all feel and fit in a different way.

Clarella · 22/05/2012 18:42

Congratulations Pidg and issima! that's great!

counting the hours for mine... errrm.... 42 hours!!!

ooo and on the computer so access to more emoticons Wine Brew Grin

Chloe55 · 22/05/2012 18:42

I like my baby bjorn but dh used one of those cloths that drape over one shoulder and tie at the back (I forget the name) he thought it was fab, I just couldn't get the hang of it!

Great news on the healthy scans GrinGrin

PurplePidjin · 22/05/2012 18:44

Absolutely bricking it, ivana. I'm hoping for a decent night's sleep tonight!!

brooke89 · 22/05/2012 18:56

Congrats purple and issima! Great news!!! Grin

Cookiesandcream06 · 22/05/2012 20:34

Issima and purple that's great great news!! I am a shade of Envy right now! Still 15 days to go till mine and each day feels like a week (familiar anyone?!)

These shopping lists are getting me excited, two of my favourite things- shopping AND list making!! I don't believe in buying anything till after my 20 week scan though. Now that does seem an eternity away...
Although caved on the maternity jeans.. Fat or minute bump who knows (no way of telling with this 'mum tum'!) but jeans haven't done up in weeks..

CODwidow · 22/05/2012 20:39

All great news very pleased but also Envy still over a fortnight for my scan, I also keep thinking they'll tell me I've made a mistake.

Bellaboo123 · 22/05/2012 20:52

Congrats issima and purple a week today for mine!
Off on hols for a couple of days now do hopefully that'll make the time go quicker than sitting at my desk at work. Do I need to get those special flight socks???
Oooh loving all these shopping suggestions...someone mentioned to me a stokke travel system (obv 2ndhand from eBay as mega bucks new!) any thoughts? All very alien to me as its my first totally baffling!!! Sure it will soon become clear!

Walnut8 · 23/05/2012 05:40

Yes congrats issima and purplepidj - it must be such a relief!!!
And good luck to everyone with scans over the next few days.
I'm trying to forget about mine without much luck.

My friend had a stokke travel system and she really liked it. I remember that because the seat is quite high up it doubled as a sort of high chair when we went out for coffee/lunch which was handy. No bag room underneath (or only a little bag room anyway which annoyed her) though. They have traded it in now as have had another child - it doesn't convert to a double, so if you are thinking about two in closeish succession, it may not be the right thing for you.

Not even thinking about what we need until after 20 week scan. Our DD is just two though, so I'm thinking she will be at a good age to have outgrown her cot etc before the next is born. We MAY need to buy a new car though as I'm not sure how we are going to fit two car seats into the back of my tiny hatchback. Ouch.

Walnut8 · 23/05/2012 06:17

Just had a call from the hospital rescheduling my scan ... now only a week away! Yay!

PurplePidjin · 23/05/2012 06:31

I woke up at 5.15 this morning with butterflies in my tummy. Except its a bit low down for that. Is it PidjChick having a little wriggle? Seems to have calmed down a bit now dp's got his hand cuddling that bit..

Walnut8 · 23/05/2012 06:51

How exciting purple ... sounds like it's either baby or (ahem) wind?! And you would usually know fairly quickly if it's one of them!!

PurplePidjin · 23/05/2012 06:57

It's not wind, it's a definite fluttering and has been the same to a greater or lesser degree for an hour and three quarters now :o

FriendofDorothy · 23/05/2012 07:38

Oh I wondered where you had all gone! Thought the other thread was quiet!!

Hmmm more brown spotting today. Because of the colour I am not unduly worried and suspect it is old blood. It's getting very annoying though. Is seems that any time I walk even a short distance I end up with spotting. I just want it to stop so i can relax!

Chloe55 · 23/05/2012 08:17

Have my scan tomorrow afternoon but am having a serious wobble. Probably totally irrationally but been googling missed miscarriages without signs of miscarriage and it's totally possible. Now, I know that firstly I shouldn't google these things, secondly I had signs of miscarriage at my last one, thirdly I still have pregnancy symptoms and fourthly I'm being a dick but why am I having this big panic meltdown today???!!

itsMYNutella · 23/05/2012 08:20

Ahhh Purple that is exciting news. And congrats to everyone having scans... over two weeks till my next scan.
Feeling (apart from very hungry yesterday) not very pregnant at the moment... it's odd. Still feeling a bit light headed in the mornings but thats kind of it. [hmmm]

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 23/05/2012 09:24

purple i felt movement from about 13weeks with ds, i keep thinking i feel something now but i'm only 10 weeks so not sure if im imagining it or if im jsut mroe sensitive to it 3rd tine round

touch wood im feeling less sick atm, hope it stays that way!

Clarella · 23/05/2012 09:27

Chloe I think I'm having sympathy wobbles though as scan also tomorrow afternoon - or maybe also scan wobbles? I think worry (or rather fear) is totally understandable, esp if you've had a mc before. Your mind is preparing for the worst and Google is it's enemy. Sending strong hugs and maybe an internet ban?

After a couple of days feeling mentally more normal after literally loosing my marbles last week Ive realised now what the main underlying issue is - basically I feel like being pregnant is such a big hassle for work due to all the physical stuff you suddenly can't do with behaviour etc which puts extra pressure (and bruises) on my already stretched team and this slapped cheek stuff (and loss of marbles) has only added to it. Working with these vulnerable kids on such a high level makes me feel such a huge amount of responsibility. My deputy even said - "where are we going to put you next year?" It just makes me feel like DH and I are the only ones who really want this baby - I guess having to tell more people at my work than our best friends has made it worse.

Really holding on the the fact that after the scan, when we can tell the world, and those who matter it will feel less like blueberry and I am just thorns in a side.

on a much more merry note I don't feel at all sick or like I need to binge eat cheese after half a pink grapefruit for breakfast! Bingo!

sicilianlemons · 23/05/2012 09:30

Friendof easier said than done but try not to worry. I have had spotting and mild cramps on and off for weeks and found out on monday after an early scan (second one Blush )that all is well at the moment. midwife said it just happens to some people. Can you have another early scan at your EPU? They were really good at my hospital and said not to worry about pestering them because that's what they are there for.

Nutella I completely lost all my symptoms over the weekend and had a major panic, but it looks like its another thing that just happens sometimes without anything being wrong.
