OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Clarella · 08/06/2012 17:26

Just tried to do some work, found all the scan pics we'd been copying and totally distracted by sticking them all over bedroom wall... sigh.
Popped pic onto my profile too. May as well just go for a swim, there ain't gonna be any work done today!

itsMYNutella · 08/06/2012 17:27

Hello pinkglitter! I was trying to count the number of ladies on the list, I may have gone a little cross eyed but am I right... there are 70 bubbas expected in DEC?? Shock

My scan is on Monday and I can't wait! Really want to see bubba moving :)

Anyone else who doesn't want to know the sex? Am I being odd wanting to hang onto it as the "last surprise"? I've asked DP if he'll take on the job of announcing it at the birth - since he wanted to know the sex. But he loves the idea, he is so sweet [gooey lovey emoticon]

Clarella · 08/06/2012 17:32

No I admire you my nutella! Wish I had your conviction and restraint!

My friend who's about 24 weeks has a friend who was told the wrong sex at the 20 week scan and had bonding issues so she doesn't want to know. I'll be holding the possibility its wrong in the back of my mind till the end! (though can't help thinking about what I see on the scan!)

itsMYNutella · 08/06/2012 17:35

Clarella I think that is part of my reason to.
I also like all the name arguments discussions... I have some ideas but nothing like a sort list and it changes daily. Some recent ones have been from Shakespeare plays Confused - I'm obviously a raging hormone nutter :)

brooke89 · 08/06/2012 17:43

Nutella, we're not finding out either although a big part of me really wants to so I can be prepared and buy pink/blue bits!

Can you only post pics on your profile from a laptop? Im on my phone and can't work out to do it?

Clarella · 08/06/2012 17:43

Ooo yes DH has a veto on many names, so we argue anyway. I'd love Timon (can't remember which play) but merrily vetoed! Actually, my SILs name is Merrily, which I think lovely but obviously we can't have so feel free to claim it!

Clarella · 08/06/2012 17:44

I just somehow managed on phone seemed ok

brooke89 · 08/06/2012 17:46

Are you on the app clarella or the actual site?

JoJoB77 · 08/06/2012 17:47

We won't be finding out the sex either. I agree Nutella it is the surprise at the end which IMO is what its all about! Personal choices at the end of the day Smile

Well DH is on his way back with DD, i've had a lovely day & made the most of it but can't wait to munch my little daughter!

Clarella · 08/06/2012 17:48

Um, on the site, but it goes to a mobile mode...

SpottyTeacakes · 08/06/2012 17:52

I don't really want to find out this time but dp does so we will Smile

brooke89 · 08/06/2012 18:01

Have i done it right? I've put my 12 week scan pic up :)

SpottyTeacakes · 08/06/2012 18:06

Awww loving all the scan pics!! If a bit jealous....

Clarella · 08/06/2012 18:16

Awwww how cute Brooke!

HoneyMum21 · 08/06/2012 18:24

I've uploaded my pics from this week's scan. I've been studying - i think the little bit sticking out is cord rather than nub (especially as in 1 pic it goes one way and the other it has moved!).
Not long to go Spotty - it'll be worth the wait!

Clarella · 08/06/2012 18:29

Lovely pics Honey. I've no idea, its so hard to tell on any. I wondered if it was the cord on mine, just looks so low. I don't know why I bother looking as so really not bothered either way think I'm just nosey!

Going to put my fave pic up of babys profile, love looking at its little nose!

Clarella · 08/06/2012 18:32

Sorry spotty and other scan waiters, we should prob wait a while before nattering on. I feel a fraud on the Dec thread now as my edd is 26 th Nov but been here too long now!

HoneyMum21 · 08/06/2012 18:33

I'm just impatient and want to know! Your pic is lovely Clarella! Looks like its got it's hand resting on it's tummy!

brooke89 · 08/06/2012 18:36

Awww clarella it's lovely and don't go!

I think mine has a nub and judging by google I think it looks like its pointing up, so possible boy?

Olivetti · 08/06/2012 18:56

I wish I could get my screening results back. I rang the hospital today, they said 5 working days for the bloods to come back - had them on Wednesday morning, so does Wednesday count as 1 working day?? I can't relax.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/06/2012 19:14

It's OK Clarella I forgive you Wink don't worry about being on the December thread I would say it's 50/50 as to whether you'll have a December baby or a November one and I expect there'll be a few who have January babies.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/06/2012 19:15

Olivetti I would phone them on Tuesday afternoon

PurplePidjin · 08/06/2012 19:21

OMG time flies... I've just booked my 16 week check for Monday! It's all feeling a bit real...

smellsofsick · 08/06/2012 19:22

nutella we didn't find out the sex for DD and hearing DH tell me it was a girl was one of the most amazing and moving experiences of my whole life. It's making me go all gooey just thinking about it.

For practicality we'll probably have to find out this time round as we'll probably be living abroad by the time it's born.

kateand2boys · 08/06/2012 19:22

Your scan pictures are soo cute. Still waiting for my next one and even though I've 'seen' our baby, I'm still anxious about the next one.

Minipie You've got a definitive answer to the gender question, the rest of us will have to speculate a while longer. I have no idea what the nub theory is any one care to fill me in?

We didn't find out when we had ds1, which was a great surprise. W found out for ourselves eventually after I'd stopped bleeting 'it's a baby, it's a baby', to which the midwife replied 'what were you expecting a cat?' Blush We did find out for ds2 and we will be this time, although I'm so sure it's a boy, if they told me anything else I wouldn't believe them. Dh has visions of the midwife saying 'it's a girl' and me replying 'get back up there and look for the bits you've left behind!' Grin

Clarella don't go, when I had ds2 I was on the August thread, even though my date got moved to July. They let me stay Grin,

We're making a flying visit to the in-laws this weekend to tell dh's gran and brother the news. I hope his gran takes the news well, she's 88 and everyone else has been struck down with shock so far. In fact today dh said, I wish we could tell my dad again so I could see the look on his face.
