Hello all!
I have been lurking so far but have just had my scan and all ok so thought I would join!! Due date is 22 Dec - does anyone know how I add myself to the list?

Firstly wanted to say thanks to everyone for being a lovely group, despite just lurking so far it has been really good to see others going through same experience as have found it hard so far not being able to discuss it with anyone apart from hubbie!
Also best of luck to all with their scans. I was a complete bag of nerves beforehand & am so relieved. It did show am less far along than i thought i was (11.6 instead of 12.2) so am hoping that in a day's time i will magically stop feeling sick all the time...!!! (that's what happens, right?!)
Let the shopping commence! x

I had same experience at my scan, went from being 12. 4 weeks to just 11weeks.
As DH pointed out, 'you've gone back to growing a fig instead of a lime'

Anyway, whilst annoying at the time it doesn't make that much difference now. Am 14+2 now and sickness better but have shingles (very odd and unexpected!) which is making me feel under the weather nothing to do with finally doing some socialising until midnight last night

Anyone else starting to realise how much less interesting and funny people are when they've had a few drinks, and you haven't? I know it's completely obv but I'd underestimated it! Here's to christmas champagne!

Whose left with scans? Loads of luck..

I had my scan yesterday and it was a lovely experience - all looks fine with Bubba. We saw him/her sleeping, then having a wiggle and even a little drink. Apparently, his/her little foot is 8.5mm long! I've been put forward a day, so just changing myself on the list:

Has anyone else heard of the nub theory? According to my scan pictures, I'm having a boy! Although we'll stay team green. I really don't mind what we have - another girl would be lovely and a boy would be lovely as that would be one of each.

Soooo....

I have found out we are having a little GIRL!

Obviously it's very early - it's because we had the CVS test after our scan was high risk. The CVS study looked at all the chromosomes and can tell us the sex. I got the results today and found out that (1) all the chromosomes are normal (which is the most important bit of course) and (2) it's an XX so it's a girl!

So exciting! We were happy with either but it's nice to know, now I can actually picture a little girl! (I am no good with surprises I always want to know NOW!)

Yes, nub theory - my scan pics are very clear including the 'nub' - once I saw this couldn't help googling cos it looks soooo obvious and which, at 13+3, apparently is pointing a particularly definate way for a wee lad though of course I know its still possible its not.

I had thought we'd probably find out anyway and now I will need suspicions to be confirmed/ corrected. If I said my gut theory its a girl but that's probably cos I'm from a heavily matriarchal family! Not at all bothered either way and reckon the labour will be enough of a 'surprise' !

Definately had a growth spurt in the tummy area and its not just food! 'heavy lifting' (as in noticeably less easy) has suddenly been noticed today though I managed a lazy jog this morning (first activity in 10 days!)

Still waking up feeling sick and I'm flipping 16 weeks on Monday!

I've also looked at the nub theory and I have 1 photo which is quite clergy shows the nub but baby has his back up so not sure how that works as only seen examples where baby is belly up ( if that makes sense)

Congrats minipie - that's great news. we can't even begin to guess as bump has very stubbornly kept his legs crossed whenever he's been on camera. we really don't mind either way, we're just really impatient and want to know!
MIL phoned last night to confess she's bought us a lovely jungle animal bedding set from Boots (we'd already had our eyes on it but were trying to be sensible) - luckily its just bright colours and animals and totally unisex!

Ooo honeymum, you asked about newcastle preg centre, its mainly a place for classes for pregnant ladies or for babies but also seems to be a kind of network place. But I'm sure there's lots in morpeth, love it there, great place for a baby :)

Everything good!! Baby happy and dancing away (well, after nap time was over!) Nuchal measurement was done and is 1.7mm which having had a look online looks okay. Had blood test done too so hopefully that will be okay. Also -have been brought forward by a week! Am now 13+4 (second trimester - woooo!) and due date is now 10th December.

Very happy bunny! Got four new pics too - will try to upload them but not really sure how!

And eeeek! minipie SUCH exciting news! Congratulations on finding out! I am off to study my pics and see if this nub theory makes any sense to me!

i've spent 30 mins studying my scan pictures and i can't see any sign of the nub. so impatient! and it's soooooo long till we'll get to find out! humph!
