SpottyTeacakes · 05/06/2012 08:05

I would show you mine but there truly is nothing to see!

acjfluff · 05/06/2012 08:08

My DP kissed my bump but I had to point out that was my chocolate baby and our real one isn't showing yet Blush

Mummycox · 05/06/2012 10:04

Prunella your bump looks amazing!

PurplePidjinghamPalace · 05/06/2012 10:27

I literally started showing yesterday! Most of my clothes are a 14 and too big due to a recent 2st weight loss, but i've got a few size 12 bits. Choosing an outfit for my parents' jubilee bbq yesterday, i settled on my few red and blue bits (red doesn't suit me, blue tends to be jeans!)

On goes the blue knee length flippy skirt... Out pops the bump Blush

I think it might be to do with the cut. Mostly i wear trousers which are low waisted, cutting across or under that area. This skirt, and Pru's dress from the looks of things, come over that area so it's all one colour and i think that accentuates things? I shall experiment later :o

Anyhow, dp now reckons I'm definitely showing (ie with no clothes) so I'll take his word for it Wink

knottyhair · 05/06/2012 10:28

Prunella, you look great! I really don't have a bump yet, although I've definitely put on weight but mainly due to the stodge I've been eating Blush. I'm desperately clinging on to my size 10 jeans but they're definitely "snug". Just can't wait for this nausea to pass so I can start doing some exercise and eating more normally.

MyDaydream · 05/06/2012 10:51

No bump but I'm definitely bigger. Some of my skirts are a bit tight. I wear a lot of floaty dresses though so it will be a long time before I have bump on show. Hoping I can get to 20 weeks without anyone at work guessing.

gilsbubbles · 05/06/2012 17:01

Bump or podge im not sure but i now only have 2 pairs of work trousers that fit....think I'll need to give in and go shopping

ellliebelle · 05/06/2012 17:36

Hi ladies I am now back from holiday and its taken me 3 days to catch up on the thread :)

so happy to hear everyone's scan news and glad things have gone well for everyone. Still no twins on the thread I see.

I definitely have to agree with others that have been away, that the sun seems to make a huge difference to morning sickness. The 10 days I have been away I have felt amazing, loads of energy no naps late night and no nausea :) the 3 days I have been back i have been absolutely worn out although I think some of it may be down to holiday blues :(

chloe I can totally sympathies with the issues you are having with your DH. the only thing me and dh ever argue about is alcohol and his apparent lack of self control :( and this issue did unfortunately pop up on holiday :( we very rarely go out so when we do end up in a social situation he just cant seem to control himself, If we have alcohol in the house he cant just have a glass of wine or a couple of beers it all has to be drunk( i have to say im like this with chocolate but i dont see it being the same thing :) ) i definitely think the advice you have been given is fab and really hope things are looking better for you :)

still 2 weeks and 2 days till my scan :(

ellliebelle · 05/06/2012 17:42

just realised im not on here

nasara · 05/06/2012 17:43

What's with the nausea getting worse? :( On the plus side, two more sleeps till my scan.

Hmm, craving lasagna... Why can't I crave healthy food? Grrrr.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/06/2012 17:43

Glad you had a good holiday elllie I too am feeling worse than ever now I'm back! Two weeks today until my scan so you're not the only one with ages to wait :)

MyDaydream · 05/06/2012 17:56

nasara you could always skimp on the cheese and add loads of veg if you want it to be a bit less unhealthy. Or I could just make you feel better by saying all I want to eat is potato based. Salt and vinegar crisps and chip sandwiches. I can't motivate myself to want proper food.

My scan is two weeks yesterday so in the long wait club too.

nasara · 05/06/2012 18:34

Very sensible suggestion, mydaydream, although the prob is I think it's the cheese part my body seems to be craving! Just had some Cheshire cheese and crackers, so feeling a bit better.

Talking of healthy pasta, I recently made pregnant Jools' pasta from Jamie's 30 minute meals and it was scrummy. DH is going to make the piri piri chicken tonight - mmmmmm. Some fab recipes in that book.

ellliebelle · 05/06/2012 19:16

mmmm lasagne :) dh has just made an extra cheesy one tonight ready for me to pop in the oven tomorrow night :) it is also rammed full of veggies, although if tonights tea is anything to go by im not sure ill eat much. its not the nausea but i just seem to be so full after tiny little portions which is usually so not me. on the plus side i havent actually gained any weight yet which im not overly worried about as i was around 3 stone over weight pre pregnancy :(

ooo im glad im not the obly one still waiting for my scan :) nice to have some company

ellliebelle · 05/06/2012 19:17

also just being nosey but was wondering where people are from? im in yorkshire, any local ladies on the thread?

Chloe55 · 05/06/2012 19:49

HoneyMum21 · 05/06/2012 19:50

Hi elliebelle i'm in Newcastle. Holiday definitely helped with my tiredness etc, although how much of that was down to just lying on the beach all day i'm not sure! I did feel really sick when travelling in the heat though :(

SpottyTeacakes · 05/06/2012 19:53

I'm in Sussex

Bellaboo123 · 05/06/2012 20:08
