StrawberrytallCAKE · 02/06/2012 22:26

I'm too tired to even read the last few pages purple :( Yes I have the bone weary ache/exhausted to the point of crying right now and I'm 14 wks Monday.

Hope everyone is ok at the moment. I've got my party tomorrow and I'm not sure how I'm going to stay awake, I've decided at 7pm I'll put dd to bed and have an hours sleep with her. For any first time mums a massive bonus of having children is being able to always make an excuse to have a nap (as long as the child is willing).

CODwidow · 02/06/2012 22:35

I am truly exhausted from the minute I wake up and it seems to be getting worse with each day. I am also now actually throwing up (tmi sorry!Blush )which I wasn't doing before 12w so hoping this phase passes soon.

It is all making me feel slighty more confident for scan day though, really hoping that feeling soo rubbish means babies growing well Smile

PurplePidjinghamPalace · 02/06/2012 23:03

According to Dr Google, relaxin peaks in week 14 which might explain the pain if it's in the ligaments rather than the actual joints iyswim?

beccabubbless · 03/06/2012 09:42

thanks to those who answered my scan questions a page ago paha. im going to try and get the MW to be a but more with it useful at my next appt!
purple just woken up with the most painful knees/ back ive ever had! 10+1 weeks, so it must be related to the pregnancy.

why doesnt anyone tell you that your going to feel like death?! all i ever hear about is people 'glowing'...... im deff not glowing Hmm

lauraloo09 · 03/06/2012 10:05

Morning all hope everyone is having a nice weekend

I'm too tired to read thro all the pages I've missed sorry :( I had a bit of worry last night and may even contact the midwife I have some discharge last night like yellow snot very thick and there was a lot on the paper after I wiped so been a bit worried about it can't remember that with DD. I had bought an angel sounds Doppler when pg with DD tried it last night but couldn't hear anything, still too early me thinks I'm 13+4 today so may try again tonight with a full bladder see if that works. All I remember being told before about them was baby's HB sounds like a galloping horse x

Cookiesandcream06 · 03/06/2012 10:14

To those with aches.. I wake up every morning feeling like I ran a marathon the previous day. I walked for a max of two hours yesterday, came home and sat down on the sofa- 3 hours later I woke up! Was late picking DD up, still apologising now. Although nausea is easing, these aches and headaches are going nowhere.
Definitely not a pregnancy 'bloomer' here!!

hope you lovely ladies start to feel better v soon.

Ps 3 sleeps till scan.. Not that I count the sleeps down every day... Blush

Chloe55 · 03/06/2012 10:49

Constant headaches here too and ms back with a vengeance at 13wk Hmm anyone else's body 'cracking' when they roll over in bed? I feel like I'm falling apart! Slept for 12 hrs last night (beside the 3xtoilet trips)

ivanapoo · 03/06/2012 11:11

laura I've had a bit of that too - but not a lot - this is my first but thought it may be from where the mucus plug is forming? If you do find out what it is please let me know. It didn't smell or anything so don't think it's an infection.

SpottyTeacakes · 03/06/2012 12:19

I just had to get dp to pull over on the way back from tesco so I could be sick. First time I've actually been sick so far Sad

mwahmwah · 03/06/2012 20:11

Tesco does that to me too Spotty... well actually all supermarkets at the mo...! Thank god they have toilets. The throwing up on a Sunday in public toilets just leads to the old dears giving you a disgusted "you are obviously hungover" look when you emerge from the cubicle! Feel like screaming "I've not had a f@@@ing drink for 10 weeks" grrrr!!!

CODwidow · 03/06/2012 20:55

Well I've resorted to undoing my trousers when sitting so I guess I will need to think about maternity clothes soon. Only 4 sleeps til scan so will go after that I think. Was hoping to get away with maxi dresses but the great British weather has seen to that!

Clarella · 03/06/2012 21:55

Is this 'second trimester glow' a total myth to get us through the first? I will apparently be 15 weeks tomorrow and feel more tired than ever even with a supposed extra battery pack of thyroxine. I had more energy when my metabolism was shutting down.

Clarella · 03/06/2012 21:55

Oh and back on the hot water bottles again.

FriendofDorothy · 03/06/2012 21:58

I am doing an experiment. How many apricots do I need to eat before I can shit normally.... I am up to 4 today so far and no joy.

Clarella · 03/06/2012 22:00

Sorry one more moan - tmi, anyone's nipples either really itchy or intensely sore and stinging? Mine swing between the two leaving me wincing.

Clarella · 03/06/2012 22:03

Friend - hummus on brown bread ( with tomato and rocket - yum!) And tinned prunes with a bit of yoghurt. Have had to avoid it got so effective. Seriously though, syrup of figs or lactulose might help?

Clarella · 03/06/2012 22:05

Mega tmi, sorry, one of those glycerine pessaries (try boots) if really getting bad! Tmi!

CODwidow · 03/06/2012 22:07

Clarella my nipples are bloody agony! I dread having to take my bra off and wear it to bed now Blush

FriendofDorothy · 03/06/2012 22:16

I find my nipples are so much sorer when I am wearing a bra. Taking it off is blessed relief!

I did go and get measured and tried on some maternity bras. Bloody hell they are ugly!

Cookiesandcream06 · 03/06/2012 22:19

clarella yes- itching like crazy mainly during day (and also really sore and tender) and then bra comes off and have lumps they're so swollen and then can't get comfy as they hurt. If DP gets anywhere near he knows he gets a smack.

Im so fed up of feeling so sorry for myself!

CODwidow · 03/06/2012 22:30

Mine seem happier if contained and the tighter the bra the better!Smile

Going to bed as headache is making its way back. Also having some crampey/period type pains so really hoping that's just stretching. Sad

giraffe213 · 03/06/2012 23:29

CODwidow and others re. sickness - I haven't been sick at all yet 'just' nauseous 24/7 (although that's been getting better recently) - but yesterday was the worst day so far and when I got up I was suddenly dry retching which is almost worse than being sick as it doesn't stop! I finally managed to get away from the toilet long enough to grab a ginger biscuit. (sorry if tmi!) Anyway, I find it's worse when I'm tired and yesterday I was shattered as well as starting a cold, so I blamed it on that. Just thought I'd mention it because you said you were tired - is having more sleep/daytime naps an option?

FriendofDorothy - ime prunes are the way to go, unless you really can't stand them.

Is anyone starting to show yet? One of my friends commented today that I looked pregnant (she does know), which made my day :). I have started wearing maternity trousers but to be honest I was busting out of my jeans before I got pregnant so it didn't take much!

HappyCamel · 04/06/2012 08:11

Please can I join?

I'm HappyCamel, due 11/12 with #2 and I'm 31

I've been over on the January group because I thought I was 8 weeks but dating scan shows 12 so here I am (and feeling v grateful that I missed a whole month of pregnancy.

Dd is 14 months so I'm a bit scared of having two under 2 for so long but really I'm just excited. I had PND last time and this time I'm hoping to actually enjoy having a tiny baby.

I've has ridiculously few symptoms this time (last time was horrendous) just v v tired.

Clarella · 04/06/2012 08:28

Morning! Wow its actually sunny here!

Hope everyone is ok this morning. how's OH doing Chloe? DH is having a bit of a binge this weekend (where the hell did the Euro championship come from?) but I have actually been impressed with efforts of much earlier homecoming and appears to be 'practicing'. I've just been told a tale of his (lay preacher) father who fell over with his first born whilst hammered and then decided to seriously cut back and I wonder if its in his mind. Impressed if so, he's never come home at 2 before - its closing time or 5 am.

Sorry to hear you all itch too - I really thought everything had begun to calm down but the last few days I feel worse than ever!

Wondering if relaxin peaks now it may play havoc with bp cos of stretching veins etc hence tiredness and sickness and being bunged up?

I do appear to show when prunes not working - really noticing the part of stomach very high below boobs between my ribs - feels like stomach is being pushed up and out and I can't bear anything tight there eg bra etc.

I want sugar puffs.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/06/2012 08:29

Welcome happy camel! Lucky you missing out a whole month! You will cope just fine with that age gap Smile
