DH has suddenly decided that Oscar is a pretentious name & doesn't like it as much as he thought..grrrrr....as if this isn't hard enough already!!! We just cannot agree on anything. How's everyone getting on with names?

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 14:20

tbh, i've not even thought of any yet

Yes I know. Made such a difference last time.
Mum is here until Saturday so think we may go this evening and see if they can give me an overnighter!
I'll let you know how I get on!

homemama - hope you feel better very very soon. you're doing the right thing going in to hospital.

HellKat · 16/02/2006 15:21

Homemama- You poor thing. Sounds like a great plan of getting an iv in. Best of luck hun up there tonight. Good thing is afet being in there, your dr should take you more seriously. That's disgusting him not coming out to see you. Whatever happened to good ol' home visits eh?
Hope you feel better soon. x

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 16:50

just bought my red hot chili peppers tickets, it's for july 11th so i'll be huge by then and will be going out to the toilet all the time. i'll have to book dd to be in zoe's place (we've just started getting some respite care from them). i'm so excited. i was too late at getting their tickets last time so i'm made up i have got them this time, but just a little worried about being pg whilst there.

Bella23 · 16/02/2006 17:01

Homemama - poor you, sounds so horrible. Fingers crossed the hospital sorts you out. Am shocked how crap your GP is being!!

Kreamcrackers - oooh Red Hot Chilli Peppers, will be sooo fab!!
Funnily enough I have tickets to go and see Take That with my SIL in June as she really wanted to go..........mmmm.....can't really compare the Peppers!!

mabel1973 · 16/02/2006 17:57

Hi everyone

homemama - I really hope you do go to hosptial this evening and they can help you. I just can't imagine being as bad as you are, I don't know how you've struggled on this long. Good luck this evening.
KK you are brave going to see the chilli peppers , although we went to leeds festival 2 yrs ago when I was 6 months pg with DS, I can't do it this yr though it is a week before I'm due far too risky - don't want to give birth in a field surrounded by stoners

Coriander73 thank you, we miss you,

hi everyone, im not entirely sure when im due. My midwife said 6th Sept but i had a bleed a couple of weeks ago and when i went for scan (which showed only one heart beat so i guess that rules out why im so big) the midwife there said i wasnt as far on as first thought. I go for my first scan on 2nd march and i can't wait!!

compo · 16/02/2006 19:43

Good luck Homemama - fingers crossed you get the treatment you need

puppy · 16/02/2006 20:21

Thinking of you homemama.

@ seeing chillipeppers, they are fab. not been to see a band since I went to see terrorvision at town and country club, leeds. 10+ years ago.

For the last few nights I have had broken sleep. I have nothing much to report
As for DSD I think she will have learnt her lesson, the teenage years are not that bad so don't be worrying about it . Shes done all her punishment chores besides cleaning the car seats.

Welcome and congrats to the new comers

HellKat · 17/02/2006 07:00

Morning all.
Puppy- I saw Terrorvision at Donington lol. They were class.
HomeMama- Really hope you got some treatment last night and are feeling heaps better.

10 wks today!

mabel1973 · 17/02/2006 07:36

Morning girls!

Hope you're all ok?
Homemama hope you're safely tucked up in hospital receiving the treatment you need.
Well my mum had DS last night, so a quiet morning so far, still had to get up in the night for a wee sigh
Going shopping for my maternity jeans today - my ordinary ones won't last out much longer.
Wish me luck!

HellKat · 17/02/2006 07:54

Good luck!
I picked a pair of Top Shop one's (funky with side elastic) from Ebay. Still in my big baggy's though

mabel1973 · 17/02/2006 08:03

I am thinking of looking in topshop - although they are forty quid in there and even though my mum said she'd treat me, I don't think I can justify it on something I'm only going to wear for the next 6 months or so.
Had a look in H&M a few weeks back - last time I got some nice stuff from there but this time it was awful! The only other place I can think of is next - unless anyone else has any suggestions...?

HK I checked out ebay but there wasn't any in my size listed.

HellKat · 17/02/2006 08:14

Have you sccouted charity shops? I'm always grabbing designer labels from there
I got mine from Ebay for a tenner but I've seen Mothercare,Top Shop one's etc (sizes from 12-18) in charity shops for 3 quid. I refuse to pay full price for something I probably won't wear again lol.
I invested in 3 pairs of hipsters (size above my normal size) from Ebay (4 pounds each) and they're heavenly! They do up under my bump, vast amount of room for bump to grow and they look good too. What about that idea?
I'm probably the best bargain hunter around when it comes to second hand shops etc

mabel1973 · 17/02/2006 08:19

wow you put me to shame!
I have to say I used to love a good rummage in a charity shop - although now I live in a village and don't have a car, so my opportunites are limited! Will havea look today though While I'm in town.
I never considered just going a size up as I suppose I'm a bit worried about whether they'll fit me all the way through, and be a false economy (I was huge last time!). Maybe if i look for something with plenty of lycra in!

HellKat · 17/02/2006 08:27

Lol know exactly what you mean. i got massive with ds1 but with ds2 only put on 2 stone.
I had to ditch my old jeans the other week because they were so tight and uncomfortable around my tum.
These hipsters though are wonderful. I can stretch out the tum part a good 4 inches or so and they should still fit under my bump as I get bigger. Only problem is they're big around the backside and thigs but hey they're so comfy you don't care lol. Plus it beats being restricted to trackies 24/7.
If you want, you can email me your size and next time I'm in them (I normally go once a week) I can have a look for you.

mabel1973 · 17/02/2006 08:32

Thanks HK!
I'll let you know how I get on today...
Plus I'll check out ebay later as well

HellKat · 17/02/2006 08:37

Anytime!
