Hiya girls.
Puppy- Great idea about the email, lets hope it knocks some sense into her. As Mabel says, it's probably just a phase.
Bella- Already had my dating scan. Because i was bleeding so much I was being scanned every 2 weeks so my 9 week scan was my dating one and my due date is 15 th Sept.
Hope everyone's well.
Have'nt bled (not even a teeny weeny spot) for well over a week now, still get cramps but think they're pretty normal. Had horrendous back ache already and tell tale spd twinges again.

kreamkrackers · 15/02/2006 16:03

my mum was very very ill when she had my brother, much worse than when she had my sister or me. she also had a very bad labour with him and he was the smallest one.

mabel1973 · 15/02/2006 16:08

Hi ladies!

I am thinking of putting in a bid on some re-usable nappies on ebay. I had all good intentions with DS and gots ome trial packs of tots bots and kooshies, but it never quite happened as I lost the use of my tumble dryer. So am thinking of trying again (with 2 - I must be mad) is anyone else a cloth nappy convert?

puppy · 15/02/2006 17:12

As a second time mum to be/ childminder I see how many disposable nappies get used and thrown away and its heck of alot. So I am seriously considering it the thing is I don't know what i'll need but will do some research further on into the pregnancy.

puppy · 15/02/2006 17:15

When I was pg with DS I had no symptoms whats so ever throughout just a tidy bump. This time I have morning sickness ( vomit in the morning and feel nauseous rest of the day), constantly eating, extreme tiredness, heart burn, implantation bleed, ech so I'm figurung its prob going to be a girl lol oh and I have been very ratty too

HellKat · 15/02/2006 18:02

Lol I'm convinced it's a girl. Awful moodswings, no sickness (but never do), eating for England (different stuff though compared to the boys) and so, so sleepy. Keep waking up bizarrely at 2am to use the loo, takes an hour or more to go back to sleep, then wide awake at 4.30/5am! No wonder I'm craving an hours' sleep in the afternoon.

Have'nt got anymore scans lined up (apart from the 20 wk one which is being booked) but have to got the hosp when I'm around 12 weeks for a heartbeat check.
Have a great night all, off for a long soak. x

Coriander73 · 16/02/2006 09:26

Ai Norm!! However, for the majority of people I know it's worked out like that but there we are..... Hope the sickness passes soon. I had an okish day yesterday & started to think that I was coming out the other side but I feel truley rotten today. Still having to fend off DH....he's only been back 2 days & already I wish he was back in Canada!!!!!!

Corri - lol dh currently banished to spare room as keeps coughing and waking me up so let off conjugals at the mo. I can put him off by suggesting 'it' may hurt the baby following mc last year, I am not sure how long this excuse will last as now eleven weeks and four days.

Twelve week scan next Wednesday, at our hospital they routinly carry out a nuchal fold scan as well which I didn't have with ds.

I am finding that eating every two hours is the only way I can keep the sickness at bay so dread to think how much weight I am putting on. Already in maternity jeans as others getting too tight.

Although far sicker last time and had a boy so maybe girl this time!!

HK - also waking in the night at least once for the loo and taking a while to get back too sleep.

Puppy - nightmare about your dsd - ooh the horrors to come in a few years.

Am also wondering how I will cope with two, unfortunately ds is due to start playschool the same week this baby is due - not such great timing.

benjaminsmum · 16/02/2006 11:03

Norms - think calming thoughts and I hope you feel better and it drops.

pinkandfluffy · 16/02/2006 11:25

Hi there, im all new to this and i saw the heading "due in Sept 2006" so i thought id start here seeing as though that applies to me!

pinkandfluffy · 16/02/2006 11:33

im only 10 weeks and feel and look the size of a house! is this normal? Im sure im due to give birth to a 10lber at this rate!

benjaminsmum · 16/02/2006 11:54

Hi pink when are you due? Is this your first? Shouldn't worry about size yet but have you had scan to rule out twins!!!

Bella23 · 16/02/2006 11:54

Morning all ladies
Norms - sounds like you are juist feeling a bit stressed out and in my experience as soon as they come at you with that blood pressure thingy I start feeling stressed. I'm not suprised it was worse on the second attempt - poor you!!

Welcome Pink&Fluffy - agree I am also 10 weeks tomorrow and definately on the large size althougth this has probably more to do with all the chocolate I have been consuming than the beanie!!

Puppy - has SD recovered from drinking binge? Is she sheepish about it now?

Well still no sign of my scan date, will leave it until tomorrow and then think I shall give them a call.

Hellkat - I am waking about 4 times a night in need of the loo, very annoying! I usually sleep very solidly so all this waking in the night is making me feel very irritable. Lordy listen to me, what am I going to be like when I actually have to get up with a baby !!

Well hope you are all having a good day

compo · 16/02/2006 12:09

Hi everyone and welcome to pinkand fluffy!!
I have a scan date - woo hoo! It is March 6th so I will be 12+6 by then (until they tell my different). Hope the next couple of weeks fly by.
Sending calming thoughts to Normsnockers.
I've been up and down to the loo all night too and having to use one of dh's belst with my trousers as they no longer do up. This stage is so awkward as maternity clothes are too big and normal clothes are too small!!

HellKat · 16/02/2006 12:13

Welcome Pink!
I've put on 7lb's so far ! So got to stop scoffing junk lol. I'm just so bloomin hungry all the time!
How's everyone doing today?

Hello all, haven't posted for a couple of weeks, as hve been so sodding busy!!! Anyway, have got my scan on Monday, so I should find out if this baby is real or not and when it might think of making an appearence! At the moment, I have no idea, but I already am starting to look (more) beachballish and am being sick as a dog, so I think all is progressing well.

Hope everything is all good for the rest of you, I'll give an updare when I know a little more!

homemama · 16/02/2006 13:16

Hi,
Sorry haven't posted but I've just been so out of it. Luckily my mum has been staying as I just couldn't have coped this week. Getting desperate for something now but GP won't even come out to see me. I've spoken to him 3times on the phone and he keeps saying 'it sounds like you need to come in and see me' but I just can't. Even the MW has agreed to see me at home next week.
I think I need to go in as I feel like I'm stoned all the time and I need someone to take
me to the toilet. I fainted when I went on my own on Monday.
How are you Norms? Thanks for your concern. It can be so lonely, can't it? If I thought it would go at 12wks I'd feel so much better.
Think I need to be more assertive with the surgery. I'm usually such a bolshy cow too! Thanks for the tip about going in over the weekend, we may have to do that. (DH wouldn't need to lie about finding me weak as a kitten)

Hi to everyone else too! Glad to hear so many scans went well. I'm 9+1 today and as I'm having a nuchal scan it will be sometime between 12 and 13+6.
Hope you got things sorted with your stepdaughter, Puppy. I'm not looking forward to the teenage years.

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 13:30

homemama - you sound awful. could you phone an out of hours doctor tonight to see you at home? are you managing to keep liquids down? you need to be drinking diorilyte or something similiar to help keep you hydrated. for now rest as much as you can and i really do hope you start to feel better soon.

homemama · 16/02/2006 13:42

Hi KK, strangely, I can't keep water down but can take lemon lucozade. I can on a good day also take a little dry toast but most days it just comes straight back up. Haven't been able to take my folic since 5wks so worrying about that too.

Coriander73 · 16/02/2006 14:02

Homemama...can you get your Mum on the phone to them? I can't believe they're making life difficult for you. It's so hard to know what to say to keep you staying positive because it just must be bloody awful. I feel so sorry for myself but when I think of you & Norm I just feel so grateful in comparasion.

Welcome pinkandfluffy!

Is anybody else waking at 4am every morning?! I wake at this time & toss & turn until 7am. Cannot get comfortable & just lay & worry about everything. Currently panicking..wondering whether we've bitten off more than we can chew!! I'm told it's normal to feel like that second time around but it's a bit scary nevertheless.

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 14:03

is there any other way of taking folic acid, such as injections or liquid medicine? it might be worth looking into. oh, i do remember watching a programme that says folic acid is most important when you're just finding out you're pg, so i'm guessing that's between 4-5 weeks. i really do feel sorry for you and all the other sufferers, it must be so awful being that sick.

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 14:04

i'm waking to go the toilet then finding it really hard to fall back to sleep again.
