Hello all,
FFnorm, hope you are ok after the fall.
Warlin, hope you find a new tennant soon. It happened to me when I had DS1, it's not what you need is it, so I do hope you find a tennant soon.
Welcome Shelley
Tea Hey having a baby is a big deal and even after a relatively normal experience, the baby blues can hit you after a couple of days being at home. So go easy on yourself, you've had quite a few stressfull weeks, alot to get used to, and you've been doing brilliantly. So take it easy and yes take up the offer of any help. hope you feel better soon Thanks
Well I had a nice weekend up in Yorkshire, now back home and have brought my DM with me so at least child care for DS1 is sorted when DS2 decides to turn up.

Hope everyone is well. Sorry not named everyone, I have read the posts but pg brain means I can't retain much for long. Take care xx

rhibutterfly · 14/05/2012 20:11

blondie hope everything has settled down and pains have stopped, fingers and toes crossed for you.
Thanks for all the support and well wishesid there should be no problems , GREAT NEWS the one kidney looks absolutely fine, consultant said there should be no problems for LO,scan once born and operation at worst to remove the non-functioning kidney but she's completely healthy otherwise, saw her little face, she looks like DD1!! and she's definitely a girl.Found hospital really easily and no traffic jams on either journey.
Have a good night all xx

rhibutterfly · 14/05/2012 20:12

Tea you've been through a big shock, give yourself time to adapt xxx

DairyNips · 14/05/2012 20:14

rhi Glad the scan went so wellSmile

thedogwalker · 14/05/2012 20:24

Rhi so happy for you that the scan went well, hope you can now relax a little.

AmethystMoon · 14/05/2012 20:43

McKayz · 14/05/2012 20:52

Great news on the scan Rhi

gwenniebee · 14/05/2012 21:43

rhi very pleased for you :)

ceeej · 14/05/2012 21:56

rhi fantastic news about the scan and great that it wasn't too much hasstle

blondie hope the pains have eased up, you definitely seem to be getting dangerously close to producing the next June baby

gwennie loving your sweetie story, I wouldn't have had a clue what to say to that

novmama sorry your MW was a bit rubbish, hopefully that means she thinks you shouldn't have any problems but it's a bit rude not to go through your birth plan :(

managed to get all our nappies pre-washed today and various other bits and bobs sorted but now exhausted so off for an early night

Fanbelt · 14/05/2012 22:30

Great news Rhi and lovely that you're having a girl.

Hi to Shelley [waves]

Gwennie my DH has been doing Important Man Things all day today - putting up blind in baby's room, assembling cot and generally getting things organised. I think he's worried that baby could arrive any day now (I'm 37 wks tomorrow) and he doesn't want to be worrying about having DIY jobs to do. I'm not complaining though, especially as it's all I can do to climb the stairs, let alone help out with getting the house ready.

Blondie hope your pains ease up a bit. I've been having quite a few BHs but nothing that feels like proper contractions. I'm now at the point where I'll be more than happy if baby decides to put in an appearance. It's weird to think she'll definitely be here at some point in the next 4 weeks - at the moment I feel like I'm going to be pregnant for ever!

Trip to Cribbs Causeway was fun. After i got over the slight embarressment of brumming around in the mobility scooter, it was great, especially the little shopping basket in the front to hold all my stuff Grin. I bought some foot spray from Boots that I remember my mum spraying on my feet when I was in labour with DS1 and it was just the best thing ever - the refreshing smell and cooling spary was brilliant. The smell really brings back memories.

Also, have finally given in and taken off my wedding ring and the ring DH gave me on our 10th anniversary. My fingers are just getting so swollen and they were starting to hurt. They are the most precious things I own so I'm really worried about losing them if I'm not wearing them. They've gone in an envelope in a special place that only DH knows about.

blondiedollface · 14/05/2012 23:48

Not stopping long, hope everything is alright with everyone Grin Just posted this on fb..

Been contracting all day not regularly, but cervix still closed and no show. Hospital want to leave me as they've said it could all just blow over yet again... So at home with a constant hot water bottle wondering how much sleep I'll get tonight with this pain!! Will try and keep you all updated on my apparently niggly uterus :)

Sleep well ladies Xx

DairyNips · 14/05/2012 23:54

What a pain for you blondie hope the contractions settle down again soon!

Ugh, I'm tired but I can't get to sleep, groan..

ChateauMargot · 15/05/2012 08:59

Great news, rhi! :)

Kveta · 15/05/2012 09:39

good news on the scan rhi! bet that's a relief :)

blondie hope you're ok, keep us informed on the arrival of mini-blonde though, as it sounds like she is ready to rock!

gwennie and warlin not long now at work, then you can enjoy a few weeks of rest hopefully before your babies arrive - make the most of these last few days and weeks, as once baby is here, everything changes! (for the better, mostly, but GOD I miss reading the paper in bed on a saturday morning. and actually being in bed past 6am on any day of the week!)

well, I am 37 weeks today, so will either be holding baby or being induced within the next 4 weeks - scary stuff! She decided to spend yesterday not moving, so I was getting all worried, and spent an hour this morning trying to prod her into action - so of course, no movements, was getting VERY worried, and she gave me a thump, and is now twitching and twirling away whilst I am at my desk! babies, eh?!

right, hope MN doesn't go down again today, or else I will have to do some work Shock and that would never do.

ceeej · 15/05/2012 10:01

kveta glad you got some movement in the end, mine has had hiccups on and off since about 3am!

justwantcheese · 15/05/2012 10:03

Hi all,has anyone had their health visitor round yet ? Can't remember what they do. Is it so they can have a bit of a nosey?

Warlin · 15/05/2012 10:03

rhi delighted that LO is ok and great that you saw her wee face!

Blondie glad the pain has at least eased and hope it stays that way for a bit longer.

Gwennie I'm with you, torn between wanting LO out now and knowing that another few weeks would be best for her. Just so fed up being pregnant.

kveta I know there isn't long left at work but really just want to finish NOW.....next friday seems like a lifetime away at the minute.

TDW good that DM is with you now, so at least if/when something happens you won't be alone.

After all the pain and my bump dropping, I think it's lifted again....ggrrrrr....have a scan tmw and am really hoping head is down and engaged. I bet I get told he has moved up again though.

Ah, these last few weeks are tough....does anyone else find turning over in bed really painful? I think it's the weight of LO but omg it hurts...another sleepless night for me last night. DH and I were both awake at 5 and appreciating the silence!! Grin

On the up side, at least there is some sun today

AmethystMoon · 15/05/2012 10:17

Yay we got MN back! Only just realised because I'd actually been doing some work!!
fanbelt glad you had a good time shopping, scooter and basket sounds brilliant!
warlin yup, turning over in bed is very uncomfortable, I wake up a lot because of it Sad
blondie take care and hope LO settles for you.
kveta my bump has been v quiet today, just starting to do the panic thing. Off to lie down to count kicks. Glad yours is lively again Smile

Have a good day everyone x

shellywellybaby1 · 15/05/2012 10:38

waves back at everyone eeee theres so many of us..trying to catch up on the thread whilst manning reception at work! extremely quiet so shouldn't be a hard task!

DairyNips · 15/05/2012 10:41

Sat here worrying about my Mil, she went in to hosp last night after she felt even worse. She's jaundiced and they thought it could be gallstones but now think it light be hepatitisSad

ceeej · 15/05/2012 11:08

Try not to fret too much dairy [big hug], hospital is the best place for her to be. Will send get better soon vibes and keep everything crossed that they manage to diagnose and treat her quickly.

McKayz · 15/05/2012 11:12

Dairy hope your MIL is ok.

I don't ache as much this morning. The DR has given me more tablets for heartburn and is getting me a physio appt to see if it will help. He gave me a months supply of tablets and said he'd make it a repeat prescription. But doesn't think I'll need it!!

It did feel like the baby was going to fall out this morning while trying to walk up the hill to school.

Hope everyone is ok.

DairyNips · 15/05/2012 11:12

Thanks ceeej, just hoping its something they can treat quickly. She's like a mum to me (own mother toxic, long story!) and she is so lovely. Just want her to feel better.

DairyNips · 15/05/2012 11:14

Thanks McKayzSmile Glad you feel less achy. Wonder if you'll be one of the first to pop the next June baby?

Warlin · 15/05/2012 11:17

Oh dairy hope MiL ok....fingers crossed for her
