detective I kind of tried that already! Dh said its too expensive and I did a sad face but they just laughed!
Cheapest I can find round my way is £95.

I thought I could feel it moving last night in bed. Im 11+1 now so prob not unheard of. I thought it might be wind but nothing came!
Really tiny fluttery movements aw!

blonderthanred · 26/04/2012 10:16

Hello, all. Had quick scan this morning, strong heartbeat, 4 limbs, fast asleep on its tummy! So happy and relieved!

Got a blurry picture but should have a clearer one on Monday for my 'official' 12 wk scan. They dated as 12+4 today giving an EDD of 4 Nov but said that may be revised on Monday so we'll wait and see.

Off on hols for the weekend to mystery destination... Good luck to everyone over the next few days.

jaylee89 · 26/04/2012 10:23

exactly the same as me. when im sat still i can feel like something is flipping inside of me. its very strange and kinda feels like im going over a hump in the car (that tummy flipping movement) if that makes sense!!

is it unheard of to feel baby moving around now? 12 weeks on saturday bring on the second trimester woooooooo! i can imagine us all at end of october!!.......get this baby out now i want my body backkkk!!

its so nice to feel the flipping feelings though as it kinda keeps my mind at rest. im just getting so impatient now waiting for my scan date. i jut wanna see my little bean on the screen!!!....:) sickness is still visable in the mornings as soon as i wake up. but after that first up chuck im starving lol!....

daisychain76 · 26/04/2012 10:29

I'm glad to read its not just me who's convinced they can feel something already! DH won't believe me, but this is my third so I should know what it feels like by now! Wonder if this one is going to be like my DD was and hugely active especially at night (actually, she's still quite like that, thinking about it). Really glad to hear the scan went well blonder and shelly", sorry yours didn't go as wanted thedetective* but it is a really cute picture. Feeling really sick today so the plan is to work hard this morning and spend a pointless couple of hours on the sofa watching Jeremy Kyle on ITV2 this afternoon!

daisychain76 · 26/04/2012 10:32

Obviously I have a bad case of baby brain too - had to read through and alter the entire post about 5 times to make it make sense, then still get the wrong bit in bold!

horseylady · 26/04/2012 10:51

I can't feel anything yet :( also detective my picture you can about make out the head it was also going mental for that reason I now call it wriggles as I hate saying it!!

applepieinthesky · 26/04/2012 12:02

Excuse me. Need to vent.

Just had to leave work to and pick my puppy up from the canine crèche because he wanted to play with the other dogs and was being boisterous. FFS.

When I got there he had been left all alone outside in the pouring rain and was barking. They were annoyed that he was barking Hmm I?m not really surprised are you? He was separated from the other dogs who he could see through the window in the dry playing together and he wasn?t allowed to take part.

The lady reckoned she couldn?t do anything with him and he had no manners. I got there and asked him to sit. He sat down and didn?t move. He sat down in the car on the way home and didn?t bark, didn?t move, he was no trouble. She told me herself he wasn?t aggressive in any way, he?s ?just high energy and I can?t have that with 14 other dogs here?. Errr you run a fucking crèche and that?s what you are paid to deal with. Wtf

Chunkychicken · 26/04/2012 12:22

I thought I could feel a fluttering movement in recent weeks. It was always in the same spot but literally a fluttering, & as I'm only 10+3 now I figured it was either a change in blood flow or me going mad. However, just typing this I felt a little 'thud'. Probably all in my head... Hoping to check the position & the feelings of the bubba in just under 3 weeks!!!! Gahhhh, far TOO LONG to wait!!!!

Apple that sucks. I mean, what do they expect/get paid for??!!

Jaylee I had the exact same 'car hump' feeling with my DD when I was 14wks and that was the felt movement I felt. It seemed ages before I felt 'proper' kicks.

WaitingForMe · 26/04/2012 12:25

I was just about to throw up when I was struck by the conviction that if I ate a pickled onion I'd be ok.

It worked. Pregnancy is such a magical experience isn't it? Confused

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/04/2012 12:26

Does anyone else get a pulled muscle feeling in their uterus when they laugh/ cough in a awkward position? I've had it a few times now it's horrible.

eversomuch · 26/04/2012 12:48

Thanks for all the supportive messages. Had the CVS this morning and it seems to have gone very well. No cramping or spotting or anything so far, just a little tingly from the anesthetic wearing off, I think. It was interesting (but a little scary!) to watch the procedure on the screen. Now just have to wait for the results. Should be back by Tuesday latest. Fingers crossed everything will be fine and we'll finally get our green light to start telling people.

I think I'm definitely feeling movement already, which is surprising, but I'm pretty sure it's the baby. On the scans I've had it's always been very actively wiggling about, so perhaps I really am feeling it and not just imagining it.

BTW, my EDD has now been moved from 8 Nov to 7 Nov.

horseylady · 26/04/2012 12:52

Apple - seriously?!!!!!

My pup walked into mum and dads house last night and put their red setter in a head lock!! She's by far the most boisterous and defiant puppy ive ever met!!! Perhaps I should take madame along!!! Poor thing being shut outside. No suggestions other than keep on training oh and I ignore walking time suggestions!! If it's got the energy it does the walk!!

horseylady · 26/04/2012 12:58

Actually how old is he?

misslaughalot · 26/04/2012 13:04

Hi everyone,

blonder I've been thinking about you, so happy to hear it all went well! Yay!

I've been getting the butterfly feelings for a few days too. Am 10+2 today and thought it would be far too earl for sensing movement, but I'm really glad to hear others are experiencing it too!

DH I'm getting that pulling feeling when I cough and sneeze. Plus, I got out of the car earlier and it was quite sore when I stood up for a few seconds. We're scan buddies aren't we? 15 days to go!

YellowWellies · 26/04/2012 13:05

Eversomuch glad to hear it went well and I really hope you get good news super quick.

Horsey I'm feeling nothing but farts.... so you're not alone don't worry! Blush

Detective your scan picture is super cute and much clearer than mine. My twin sister had really clear pics but mine was pretty blurry - sadly I think the reason for that is because I'm carrying a bit more weight than her Blush read am constantly eating that does interfere with the pics. Grin However I would be incredibly pissed off to only see the bub for 10 seconds so def' think you should go with a private scan. We had over 5 mins of staring at the screen right in front of me (so both of us could see it) so think your experience sounds just plain mean! I'm sure the hospital was busy but that sonographer, I would suggest, probably hasn't been on the receiving end of a scan and doesn't have a scooby how important it is for Mums!

YellowWellies · 26/04/2012 13:08

Oh blonder great news hon!!!! Mine was having a kip on the bottom of the sac when I had my last scan and she had to poke and prod it to get it to move and be measurable! It's so odd to think of someone having a kip inside you isn't it! I'm really chuffed you got good news xxx

Chunkychicken · 26/04/2012 13:14

Good news about the scans. Grin

Seriously, cannot wait for my scan. Tried persuading DH for a private scan but gr won't even contemplate it. So LONG to wait. Want to check I'm actually carrying a baby not just the food baby...

No pulled muscles etc in uterus or elsewhere, although Tuesday's work at the chiropractor has all been undone & I'm back in pain. Not major pain but just a bit achey when I walk.:(

applepieinthesky · 26/04/2012 13:25

He's 7 months horsey He was dripping wet, I had to dry him off and leave him home alone to come back to work Sad I'm thinking about getting another dog to keep him company. Am I mad? 2 puppies and a newborn baby?

Glad it went ok everso

horseylady · 26/04/2012 13:31

No don't get 2 puppies it'll be hell!! He'll just be hormonal at the moment!! What breed is he? I've got two dogs but with a 4 year age gap (they are actually sisters). My older dog was naughty as a youngster but she's an angel now! I call my puppy the terrorist she just bounces and bites at the moment!! And stands defiantly on my couch?! For which she got an additional telling off for!!

applepieinthesky · 26/04/2012 13:43

He's a Labrador. He's not been castrated. I wonder if that would make a difference or will he just grow out of it?

horseylady · 26/04/2012 13:49

Castraing him will but I'd wait if you can till he's at least one. Retrievers are just big and fun!! They want to play/work. Do you do any classes with him? It might do him some good. Ive got curlies they both do classes and it does them the world of good plus it structures your training. Doesn't stop them pouncing like cats but they respond more and have less energy as they think as well. I still can't believe what she did!!!

horseylady · 26/04/2012 13:51

Also check what's in your feed!!! Total difference in my girl when we changed her feed to a lower protein one.

applepieinthesky · 26/04/2012 13:54

Me neither. I'm still fuming Angry

No he doesn't go to any classes but I might look into it. I have never had a dog before in my life and I can control him yet she can't. Think she's in the wrong line of business!

applepieinthesky · 26/04/2012 14:06

Lower protein? Ok, will look into that as well thanks

horseylady · 26/04/2012 14:14

Yeah it helped ours. Have a look into classe too I love the ones we do (agility with the big one obedience with the pup till shes old enough to swap!). They were all probably running riot yours could have been the first one she grabbed but still!!! She sounds a waste of space!!
