Might try there for my fruit and veg actually! Mr Tesco can fook off :p

ShellyBobbs · 21/04/2012 19:36

Lol, they always have fruit and veg for 39p / 69p and change it every week. Cherry tomatoes and apples for me this weeks.

Great news about the scan waiting

Hoped my scan date would come today. But no.

Sitting here watching the Italian job drinking tonic water and eating scampi nik naks.

Have had to unbutton my jeans as I have a fat vagina it would appear. Humph

TheDetective · 21/04/2012 20:04

Ooooh, fat vagina! I have one of those!! Its kinda, swollen and pushy out a little!

They are keeping you waiting for a date pass! Tut! Chase it on monday??!

Passmethecrisps · 21/04/2012 20:15

Yeah - no bump just a fat vag.

I had my history appointment last Tuesday and am Now 11+2 so there is still time. However, I would like to at least know. At this rate I'm going to be in maternity clothes and massively showing before I can really tell people. It's timetable planning time coming up and I feel bad if there are plans being made on the presumption that I will be there. If I get my scan next week or the start of the week after I will be just in time to warn my boss - otherwise I will feel I have to tell him without a scan

WaitingForMe · 21/04/2012 20:19

WTAF? Confused

Nobody warned me about getting a fat vagina! < checks > I'm normal for now but eeek!

Passmethecrisps · 21/04/2012 20:26

I should probably explain . . . It's not like my actual vagina but the bit above it. You know, not high enough to be my stomach. It's quite a pronounced lump. In jeans it does make me look fat in the lady parts

ValiumQueen · 21/04/2012 20:41

I have a fat vagina - due to excessive shagging.

ValiumQueen · 21/04/2012 20:43

mount of venus is the chubby bit between tum and vag

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 20:48

Hello ladies I need some help!
For the second time this week, a comment has been made that i should be moved and that's the trouble with......

I feel so upset, I pull my weight every shift and more when short staffed. Now that I'm pregnant I have be told by my GP not to handle hazardous stubstances. That means chemo wee and poo, other members of staff are perfectly ok with this, there is just a small group that don't. They are the ones that don't like taking poo and wee anyway, and they shout the loudest.

What upsets me the most is this would never be said to the ladies that wears blue. (registared nurses) Plus it is not my sole job to pick up after everyone.

Please help me.
Ew

ShellyBobbs · 21/04/2012 20:52

Tell them to feck off.

ValiumQueen · 21/04/2012 20:56

Go to Occ Health or GP and get it in writing. Have you told your Manager? This is blatent discrimination. It must not happen. Do not put up with it! Grr!

Passmethecrisps · 21/04/2012 20:57

Ah! I have a fat Mount of Venus. That's much better.

EW, that sounds rubbish. Are the comments coming from these people or from bosses? If from 'colleagues' I would have a quiet word to bosses to let them know then think no more about people who have nothing better to do but whine. There are some people you just will never please.

I really hope you can get it sorted - it's the last thing anyone needs to be concerned about.

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 20:57

Shelley, I really wish that would make a difference. It will be a very satisfiying thing to say.

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 20:59

Pass- these are colleagues. The last person that stood up to them got moved, and far away.

TheDetective · 21/04/2012 21:00

Just because some uneducated ignoramus people say one thing - it doesn't make them right EW

I would discuss it with the Union if you are in one. And let your ward manager know about the comments that have been made. I don't think you should have to move anywhere if that is the only thing you are unable to do! How absurd!

Some people are just lazy slackers... grrrr.

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 21:02

The detective, ward manger is back on Monday. As for the union, I think the same.

ShellyBobbs · 21/04/2012 21:07

Evil It wasn't a very constructive thing to say, it was what I know would come out of my mouth at them.

Good luck for Monday x

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 21:08

The detective. The last person that got moved is because she couldn't do chemo, because she was Breast feeding.

TheDetective · 21/04/2012 21:10

Maybe she didn't get the union support, either she wasn't in one, or had poor representation? Or didn't challenge it. Do you know if she did??

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 21:16

I think she did fight it, but we never did fully know what went on. We all said about unions, and HR. but she got moved anyway, something about not fully fulling the contract.

ValiumQueen · 21/04/2012 21:21

Management have the right to move you to another area if you are not able to fulfill the requirements of the role, and if it is deemed safer for you and the pregnancy. Colleagues however do not have the right to say such things. Surely there is a clear policy or guidelines about your unit?

Evilwater · 21/04/2012 21:24

Clear???
Not that I've seen so far. Everything is aimed at the registared nurses, not the HCA( my job). The advice for them is steer clear.

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/04/2012 21:28

tomato I got series 1-3 of Mistresses and in going to a posh department store to buy some expensive make up!
My friend also bought me a lovely new address book from Paperchase.

ValiumQueen · 21/04/2012 21:31

Grade has fuck all to do with it. You are a mum to be, and hazardous substances do not check grade of individual before harming them. If the policy applies to them, it applies to you.
