horseylady · 30/03/2012 16:12

Eeek not sure? I've just bought a brand new size 10 Hobbs dress for the funeral. Still in all my usual clothes no problems so far but expect that to change. Perhaps I should have bought a bigger size now?

WaitingForMe · 30/03/2012 16:20

Thanks WestWingCJ I think it's time for maternity. My boobs have grown kind of upward as though there's a bump underneath pushing them up which ruined the line of most dresses. Truly it looks like I've had a bad boob job Blush

Hopefully maternity dresses can help with that because I look like a freak!

I was convinced I'd have roughly the same figure then a bump at 5 months.

YellowWellies · 30/03/2012 16:28

Waiting at least they're not growing downwards! If they're growing upwards, a little bit of gravity - et voila perfect!

Thechick · 30/03/2012 16:35

I want eggs with a runny yolk!! NOW!!

Peaky1 · 30/03/2012 16:41

LOL Thechick! I came home from work just now and DP was looking very happy with himself, about to describe what he will cook for us. I just blurted out that I wanted a Chinese takeaway. He looked a little hurt and tried to reason with me but I said 'I WANT GREASY NOODLES NOW!'. Haha, he's cooking me dinner with the promise that if I go a bit green he'll be straight down the local Chinese takeaway.

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/03/2012 17:11

I went out and bought a ton of savoury food. Mini sausage rolls, cocktail sausages and veg couscous. Devoured a load and now the thought of it makes me feel sick :(

I'm def craving savoury rather than sweet which is odd for me because I have such a sweet tooth normally!

Nervous I wonder how many threads we'll go through before Monday!

Thechick · 30/03/2012 17:53

stuntmum nervous lol!! peaky I had chinese for dinner last night and leftovers for lunch today and it was good. I just might to get another portion of the pork stuff on my way home.

DebussyHead · 30/03/2012 18:25

Hello everyone! I can't keep up with this thread, only manage to check it every couple of days and literally hundreds of posts have passed!Grin It's great to read the latest chat though.

I'm 8+2 today and have a total pot belly in the evenings. Today is my first day in mat jeans. Forgot how comfy they are! Feel so sick in the evenings, usually can't eat anything after 7pm which is just as well as eat so much crap during the day. A lot of you seem to be having early scans but my first scan us booked for early may when I will be 13 weeks. Seems a ling time to wait and see everything is ok. Eeek!

So glad it's nearly weekend so I can look forward to a long lie tomorrow.

tomatoplantproject · 30/03/2012 18:49

It's the weekend! Whoop whoop! No trying to stay awake at my desk, or hiding my fat tummy, or squeezing into my work dresses or having to get up early for two whole days Grin

9 weeks today... And none of my clothes fit but think its too early to start in maternity stuff (not that I have a thing)

AND I am off my food and having to choose every night this week what to eat cos dh is so busy. It's doin my head in!!

There's been so much going on in this thread baby brain here can't remember good news or bad... I really feel for those of you having a tough time right now, and yay for all the successful scans.

Have good weekends y'all x

Chunkychicken · 30/03/2012 18:59

Have apathy at mo but didn't want to read and run so will just say the following (& hope I'm a bit happy & personable tomorrow)...

Good luck to all those having a rough ride, I sympathise & hope things get good soon.

Congrats to anyone that's just got their BFP or had some good news.

Enjoy the weekend x

Happy weekend ladies and happy Easter holidays teachers!! Hope you are all getting a well deserved rest, especially those suffering! I have friends up this weekend for my birthday, I have a story of antibiotics I plan on saying but may be easier to tell?!

Also I am getting nervous of my lack of ms, I am 6+2 and feeling tired but not sure if that's just end of term-itis. At what point did everyone start feeling sick?

funthatisfunny · 30/03/2012 19:12

Congrats YW and Candypop on your scans! Fab news!! :) Are you six weeks today or just in your sixth week? Can I ask (I have a scan at 6+6 on Mon) was it with dildocam or the normal way?! please say normal! Very pleased anywho.

Oh foof don't worry, am sure your symptoms will be back in the next couple of days? I had three days this past week of no symptoms, no sore boobs nothing but today am sick as a dog? Was convinced on Tues it was gone so bought more pg tests. Didn't feel at all pregnant. I read to many mmc stories too, a little bit of knowledge and all that... Hope you ok anyway and have a nice weekend.

Am really nauseous today. I did actually bloom from the off with DS, just had tiredness, meat cravings and cried a lot as my main symptoms! Loved being preggo, everyone said how much it suited me. This time I feel like I have been beaten up! TBH though I quite like feeling sick, it's like the reassurance you get from the boots in the ribs in later days, just reminds you that mostly you have to think everything is ok if you feel like this.

anywho, too rough to read and am meant to work tonight :( Think will just mope around and shout at DH (he is being annoying and most unsupportive!) :)

funthatisfunny · 30/03/2012 19:20

waiting I agree with west to get mat stuff that fits. I am in size 14 trousers to accommodate my burgeoning gut but is so annoying because the hips and bum are too big so I look a bit like I am wearing clown trousers! The bigger clothes will be big all over; maternity clothes will flatter.

Hope you ok chch and the apathy disappears over the weekend :).

Oh ladies, no talk of runny eggs and greasy chinese food please! I have made chilli for tea to have with tacos and the thought makes me want to puke now. It is SO strange having ms I just didn't have it before.

daisychain76 · 30/03/2012 19:30

DebussyHead I totally sympathise with the evening sickness thing - I used to work two hours each night, now I have to lie totally still in bed from around 8pm to try and get a break from the nausea.

The fridge is my nemesis right now - can't bear the smell (and it is fairly clean, honest!) and, even though I am ravenous, any food I look at in it seems "tainted" because of it.

Saying that, I have bought some sticky toffee pudding today and am hoping my natural greediness will overcome my evening sickness as I just want to stop obsessing over food and eat normally for the first time in 3 weeks!

Belgrano · 30/03/2012 19:38

Ugh just threw up in the hairdressers. So bloody embarassed. I had to fess up to being pregnant.
And since I got home I've puked 5 more times. I can't get out of bed without being sick or eat or drink anything-even water. It's like it's all ramped up ten gears... DH out tonight and were supposed to be away this wkend.
I feel like crying. EnvyEnvyEnvySad

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/03/2012 20:05

belgrano oh no! Hope it settles down, try taking teeny tiny sips of water. You need to keep fluids up.

I've felt fat and bloated and like I've overeaten. My friend even said I had a bump! Argh I'm only 7+2!

TheDetective · 30/03/2012 20:08

I've had a lovely afternoon hooked up to some IV fluids, and had IV anti-emetics.

Today is another rubbish day.

I feel awful. And woozy.

Got home, and the house stinks, I don't want to be in here. I don't know what it smells of, but everything and I mean EVERYTHING is making me heave. The dog has been thrown outside. DP made to go to the other sofa, DS upstairs. And I have no idea what to try and eat. Everything is so unappealing. How can I make the house smell nice? I don't even know what it smells of? A mix of plug ins and dog I suspect.

I hate being pregnant right now!

Little9 · 30/03/2012 20:09

Blimey, just caught up with new thread and finally marking my place. Sory, not gonna be able to remember who has said what (memory bad enough before baby brain!!!

Today I am pregnant and I am REALLY enjoying it.

Had a scan today as was getting pain and brown/red discharge. All is well, saw heartbeat (tear came to both mine and DH's eye), it did a little jiggle for us too. 9 weeks today exactly and all is as it should be. Have a "mass" (this is in fact uterus lining that breaks away during implantation, TMI?) behind baby which is reason for discharge and pain. I really felt like I was gonna come on last night. Apparently, your body is very intelligent and works out that the baby bits need to stay put, but it needs to get rid of the lining. Normally it's absorbed back into the body, but sometimes not and that is why brown discharge/spotting and period-like feelings in early pregnancy are so common. Hope that makes those of you with these problems feel a bit better. :) Science bit is now over! Blush

Still no sickness here, although boobs still sore and feel like they are lead weights. Haven't been feeling as tired this week, but am knackered tonight. Think it's the relief of knowing all is ok at the moment and also that the most stressful week at work ever has now finished (tupe across to my new employer on Monday!!).

Welcome to all the newcomers, good luck trying to keep up with this thread!!
Fingers crossed for all those worrying, I'm sure you 'll be fine. And yay to the weekend and those with good news.

Oo, had to watch hubby eating runny eggs tonight and was sooooooooooooo jealous. Schloer sounds like a good idea. Was so convinced it would be bad news today, that I nearly stocked up on Wine. Glad I didn't now. :0

Sorry for the essay, but am feeling that this is hopefully going to be a sticky bean and am excited for the first time!!

Little9 · 30/03/2012 20:12

sorry detective...x post. Hope you feel better soon, big hugs going out to ya, xxx

WaitingForMe · 30/03/2012 20:20

So sorry you're having such a hard time TheDetective.

Belgrano I don't know if it might help but when I had Glandular Fever I could barely swallow and was getting very dehydrated. My GP told me to have lots of ice lollies. I took the fluid so gradually I could get it down. Perhaps that might help you keep it down?

YellowWellies · 30/03/2012 21:23

Essex I still don't really have MS - have felt gippy maybe twice but don't think I'll get it. Lots of women don't. Fun it was by a normal camera not dildocam :) and at this stage (literally matters of mm) they just measure by the week, only from about 9 weeks I think can they tell weeks and days by looking at the scan. Well that's the case with the equipment up here.

Little9 awesome news on the bouncing bean! can't wait til later scans (really can't see much at 6 weeks), I know what you mean on the back up plan booze - if I got bad news today DH was prepped to pick me up duty free fags!

Belgrano Detective wah - hope the MS phase passes quickly.

funthatisfunny · 30/03/2012 21:26

oh detective and belgrano you poor things. I hope you feel better soon!

yay little so glad for you!

obesessing about food is so draining. it takes up too much of my time, especially when I feel sick but have the shakes.

sleep well peeps.
