Evilwater · 29/03/2012 16:44

I just undo the top button on my trousers, when I sit for long time.

FoofFighter · 29/03/2012 16:46

Sorry Gsy! Have you a plan B just in case? How much room have you got for growth in the dress? Is there room for maneouvre for letting it out and have you considered your breasts may go up a cup size or two by then? (mine went up a cup size overnight at 6 weeks)

Evilwater · 29/03/2012 16:49

I love the fact you girls have written or any time in oct!
Love this thread!

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/03/2012 16:53

westwing tbh though not alot fits me. Considering I've got the body alot of models have the shops really cater for someone about 5"5/6 so everything comes up a little too short.
I'm glad I've filled out a bit, I'm still only a size 8 but I looked skeletal before.

LittleLolly · 29/03/2012 16:54

Joining new thread!

I can't fasten my work trousers so have got a hair bobble holding them together! My belly is really sticking out, surely can't have a bump at 9 weeks? Im not constipated and have lost weight! Boobs are up 2 sizes, from 34 C to 34 DD, I've had to buy very attractive 'crop tops' to sleep in coz they are so sore!

FoofFighter · 29/03/2012 17:17

Grin Evilwater, did you see the end of the last thread? I got you and Essexwelsh confused originally lol

I've got the munch on today, had my tea at 3.30pm (cheese and tomato pizza) and now am boiling up some tortelloni Blush

has anyone given thought yet to wether they want to breastfeed or formula feed? I'm wanting to BF but will still get an emergency carton or 6 of formula and a few bottles, just been looking on Mothercare etc omg at the price of bottles! used to be able to buy a 3pack for the price now of just one, what happened?!

blonderthanred · 29/03/2012 17:39

Bookmarking... But am at work till 10.30 so prob no MNing for me...

WaitingForMe · 29/03/2012 17:40

I plan to breastfeed and won't be buying any formula. We've a near 24hr supermarket a very short drive away if I change my mind but I feel having to make DH go out to get it will help me persevere when it gets tough.

To be honest aside from the health benefits it just seems easier. One of my best friends is breastfeeding after a CS and said that she couldn't be bothered sterilising bottles or leaving her bed to feed at night.

Obviously it depends on being able to. I'm not going to drive myself crazy and half starve the baby if I can't.

FoofFighter · 29/03/2012 17:47

Oooh, my Netmums group is going to be on TV next week! They are doing a charity walk and Daybreak are coming to film it Shock I was going to cheer them on, but re-thinking that now, I don't want to be on TV!

The joys of leggings and dresses mean I shall not be requiring maternity clothes I fucking hope for a little while yet!

I plan on getting a few pairs of maternity leggings, cardigans, and then just buying bigger dresses/long tops.

I'm having another rubbish day.

It's becoming a theme. A trip to the gynae ward might be on the cards soon... :(

I've completely gone off chocolate and coca cola. A lot of things taste horrible and different. I mostly seem to want fresh things like fruit and salad covered in naughty things Grin

My boobs are thoroughly taking the piss now. They need their own postcode.

Anyone else just feeling really 'meh'? I don't know what is wrong with me.

FoofFighter · 29/03/2012 17:48

That's a good point W4me, we have 2 24hr ones right by so maybe I won't :) I am too tight to pay for feeding when i should be able to do it for free!

OP posts:
GsyAutumn · 29/03/2012 17:51

Wedding dress wise, it is a lace up style so keeping my fingers crossed that will allow a bit of room.... Am planning to Bf too as I did with ds and dd. I get 4 months maternity leave from work which is super, and will help a lot. Not planning on buying anything for a while as potentially moving house before November arrives!

FoofFighter · 29/03/2012 17:52

x posting all over the shop grr!

what's happened Detective? x

yes feeling pretty meh. feel like I'm in that limbo bit of waiting and hoping and just counting down the days till my scan to check there's something in there. if I could afford it and it wasn't a 120mile round trip I would go for a private scan next week.

OP posts:
WaitingForMe · 29/03/2012 17:57

I think the key is a balance between having a back-up but it not being too easy to abandon your plan. If I lived more rurally I'd be buying some for sure.

Chunkychicken · 29/03/2012 18:05

Feeling rubbish myself, like I've had the flu or something. No energy, no motivation & baby brain!!!

I bf my DD so will again but the first night, when she was about 28hrs old & she was so hungry & I was so sore I sent DH out for a carton of formula & I sterilise the bottles (hadn't even washed them up!!). She was screaming the whole time & I felt terrible. She has an oz of the formula & then I felt confident to have another go, & we carried on from then without resorting to formula again. I think I'll have it as back up, with everything sterilise & ready to go, with the determination that I won't need it.

I will be using nipple cream from day 1 though this time!!! Shock

Thankfully don't think we'll need to buy stuff as DD is not yet 2 so everything is still ok, plus we didn't find out, so all her newborns clothes are unisex.

Hoping to move fairly soon too gsy so don't want to be adding to the chaos.

Asda & Tesco baby events often mean you can get bottles etc at a reduced price....

Finally, in the world's longest post, I've gone off choc too!!

pinkapples · 29/03/2012 18:15

Not to sure on the bf or bottle thingy is liv to bf and it takes the weight of quilted apparently so who knows I guess if I get that far I'll just see what happens Smile

I too am desperately awaiting a scan foof like you wanna make sure there's something in there worth getting excited about

horseylady · 29/03/2012 18:17

I hope to bf but open minded and want a healthy baby firstly! I'm tired but feeling less sick so thats better!! Off out for a meal tonight with Gil, sil and dh..... Great :/

MissTriangle · 29/03/2012 18:28

Oooh part 3. Marking my place. I am hoping to BF too, but I said that after DD and unfortunately only managed 6 weeks due to no end of problems. I was really hard on myself when I stopped, so this time I hope to be a bit more laid back about the whole thing.

WestWingCJ · 29/03/2012 18:30

I'm prob going to FF. My DD got jaundice due to lack of food when I tried to BF her and it really scared me. She wouldn't feed for days, just slept, and my milk didn't come in :( Paed told me to FF and at the time I was very grateful to him for telling me that!!

Plus DH will do all the night feeds again (I am hoping, anyway!)

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/03/2012 18:33

I bf ds for 15 months. I'd like to bf this one but prob not quite as long!
I was lucky with ds he latched on after a few attempts at the hosp, by the time I was due to leave he had a perfect latch and we had absolutely no problems from then on it was great. I just hope the next one has a good latch too.

Thechick · 29/03/2012 18:37

I'm really bloated too. I really don't remember being this bloated with my first. Does it go or do you just grow ino it?

SootySweepandSue · 29/03/2012 18:42

I'm going to try to BF but if it doesn't work I will express for a bit if it's manageable then move to FF. My DD never latched properly and I expressed for 8 weeks but couldn't keep up with her needs as mastitis killed one boobs supply. I think it will be near impossible to express with a newborn and toddler though!

I second leggings and dresses. Had a couple of pairs from MamaLicious that lasted well last time. I'm also glad to not be huge in the summer so I can hide a bit!

I'm hating food at the moment. Feel hungry and sick. Don't fancy anything in my fridge...

Am do glad it's Easter hols as my DD activities are cancelled for a few weeks so I'm not worried about vomiting at playgroup or balletSmile.

funthatisfunny · 29/03/2012 18:43

yoyo.

I feel meh too. Am really really bloated but just feel fat and ugly. which is silly, but it is just that in-between stage isn't it when there is no bump and you just look 'big'.

I am glad you said about how you feel about the scan foo, is how I feel too and am glad someone else does. I can't be really happy or convinced about the whole thing until I 'see' them.

Just had a massive pasta dinner with salad :) Am really chuffed to have made a proper hot homemade meal that I wanted to eat. I was starving actually, maybe the hunger thang is kicking in...

I will BF! Did with DS until a couple of months ago (for 2 years so am a big fan!). I could eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and still lost weight :) And if he cried, in went the boob. and I never got out of bed. sooooo easy.

I wish I could wear leggings and dresses like you detective. you do sound like you must have been very thin! I was before DS but ate and ate and ate my way through that pregnancy and have maintained a healthy weight after. Are you ok btw, why a trip to gynae?

Big cups of your choice beverage to all those feeling meh today. Maybe we are all in an inbetweeny, hormonal stage where the novelty of finding out is wearing off but the proof in the scans is yet to happen. In the meantime we get fat, feel sick and fart. MEH!

Stuntnun · 29/03/2012 19:04

Has anyone on here had an ectopic pregnancy? I have had worsening pain in my lower back, mainly down the left hand side all day and I'm a bit worried about it. I don't think I've done anything particularly energetic lately but I'm moving about like a crone atm. I've never had any back trouble before either. I don't really know what to think. It's a bummer that you can't even take painkillers any more.

kiwi5 · 29/03/2012 19:21

hiya lovely ladies
desperately want to be part of your gang please.

AF due last monday, nothing happened til wed, when some super light spotting started, was vv light. normally quite heavy. we had been ttc so did a pregnancy test last friday - BFP (yay!).
spotting continued (any definitions to spotting vs light period flow?) and stopped on sunday, while this was happening had some mild period pains as well.

phoned docs on this monday and he said he couldnt tell me if i had miscarried or not and would have to wait til 2 weeks after period (this coming monday) to go to EPU for a scan.

did another pregnancy test this morning which was still positive (i know they can stay positive even if miscarriage has occurred).
guess i just need a bit of a hug and hand hold. already have a fabbo DD so am super lucky, but would very much like it if this one was a sticky bean!

lovely reading all your posts, you sound a very friendly bunch!

cheers x x x
