Oh, I am 8+1. I've found my breasts are a lot less sore & the nausea has mostly gone. But there was definitely a baby and a heartbeat in there! Don't lose hope.

Thechick · 30/03/2012 11:06

Foof there's no fat lady singing so please don't loose hope at this stage. I know its hard with emotions and hormones all over the place. I'm still spotting but trying to keep it together until there is actual proof that its gone. Keep your chin up my dear!

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/03/2012 11:12

foof my sore boob (yeah just the one) has gone down alot. The crazy first few weeks symptoms do settle down. They rarely last a whole pregnancy and books etc say you'll feel better by 12 weeks but it can of course happen earlier. Please don't stress, tell your mw on mon if you're really worried she may be able to help somehow.

FoofFighter · 30/03/2012 11:15

Read lots about symptoms disappearing so soon poitning to blighted ovum

WestWingCJ · 30/03/2012 11:45

Foof {{ hugs }} the Internet is a good and terrible thing in pregnancy. Try to remain positive. My symptoms have almost disappeared too. Didn't get up to wee either during the night and my boobs aren't sore today (or yesterday). Still feel a bit icky on the nausea front, but not as bad.

I desperately hope everything is ok and I am sure it is. Take care of yourself. xx

FoofFighter · 30/03/2012 12:15

Just wiped a brown smidge away. 8 weeks today so possible could be my body trying to come on?

OP posts:
daisychain76 · 30/03/2012 12:20

Foof think it is quite common for symptoms to settle down around 8/9 weeks, did with both my last 2, hope all ok.

Ramdom question, but does anyone know if you can eat feta cheese when expecting? I am craving greek salad (first healthy thing I've wanted for weeks so don't want to pass up the opportunity!)

FoofFighter · 30/03/2012 12:31

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/foods-to-avoid-pregnant.aspx

yes feta is fine

OH just annoyed me a little. Told him of my concerns and he's just brushing it under the carpet and oh it'll be fine stop panicking. yes I know it might be fine but would like him to acknowledge my feelings.

Anyway logging off for the rest of the weekend, will update when i see mw Monday.

horseylady · 30/03/2012 13:16

(((hugs)))) foof I hope you're ok. Try to stay positively symptoms are always up and down x

applepieinthesky · 30/03/2012 13:17

I hope you're ok foof, will be thinking of you.

I can't even eat cheese today Sad. Was nearly gagging at my desk eating my cheese salad sandwich without the salad.

Supposed to be going out on monday for a 3 course meal and it will make people suspicious if I can't eat anything. I usually love my food but nothing at all is appealing to me at the moment.

YellowWellies · 30/03/2012 14:18

Foof thechick don't panic, says Queen of the Headless Panicking Chickens. My boob symptoms disappeared entirely on Monday night (to not reappear until Wednesday) and I've been spotting mostly brown but a couple of terrifying instances of pink and red for two weeks now. But.... had a scan today 6 weeks and a heartbeat. Am having a whole lemon meringue pie to celebrate and a bottle of shloer (can't get enough of the stuff!)... Even though this scan provided reassurance the sonographer insisted we come in at eight weeks as DH (who's still overseas) can get to see the heartbeat too Grin, am loving the hospital up here

CandyPop · 30/03/2012 14:28

oh wow, havent logged on for a couple days and we're on thread no. 3 and 5 pages in??!!!

I hope everyone are well. Foof try not to worry too much. I think with so much info on the internet, we end up worrying ourselves silly. When i have cramps, i think somethings wrong, when i dont have any symptoms i think there is something wrong..... Hopefully your monday appointment will give you some reassurance. If you are really worried go to A&E and the EPU.

i had my 6 weeks scan today (had a scare two weeks earlier, so this was just a viability scan to confirm everything is ok). There is YOLK and there is a mini heartbeat Blush .... i am so chuffed

We have now booked in a private scan at 9 weeks, and if all is good we will tell our parents and our best friends. :)

Also at 6 weeks should my waist line be expanding??!!! i am feeling rather round and too be honest just flabby. :( i think its just that i havent been to the gym and i'm just eating whatever i want for the pass 6 weeks..... dont really want to put much weight on and i do worry it might spiral out of control! i want to bea yummy mummy.... but at the rate i'm going....... hmmm........

CandyPop · 30/03/2012 14:29

yellowwellies snap with the 6 week scan today!!! whoop whoop Grin

applepieinthesky · 30/03/2012 14:35

YellowWellies and CandyPop - so pleased for you, brilliant news.

Last night my sickness disappeared suddenly and I panicked because I actually felt normal Grin but it?s back with a vengeance today. Getting a bit fed up of it now but it?s supposed to be a sign of a strong pregnancy so as long as everything is ok with little bean I can handle it.

DP got paid today 2 weeks earlier than I expected so I may just look at booking a private scan to check all is well. I really want to tell my parents but I?m cautious about doing it until I?ve seen a heartbeat.

WestWingCJ · 30/03/2012 14:35

Fab news candy pop and yellowwellies!!

GsyAutumn · 30/03/2012 14:55

So pleased for you yellow wellies and candy pop :) Great news. I'll most likely be offline for a little while as I am venturing off for a week with DS and DD....apparently there is wifi where we are staying but my technical skills are rather rubbish so not sure if I will be able to work it out....

Hoping I can cope with DDs usual car sickness without joining in with her, but packing lots of towels and carrier bags just in case. Not long to go til my booking appointment and dating scan - 11 April then 16 April. Until then I am trying to say calm. The internet is a true curse for anyone who is remotely predisposed to worrying :(

GsyAutumn · 30/03/2012 14:56

Ooooh - shloer sounds AWESOME. I've been drinking Ame recently, but might have to stock up on some of that :)

YellowWellies · 30/03/2012 15:26

Shloer is currently half price in Tescos.... so the wine shelf in my fridge is now happily stocked with the poor upduff substitute....

NervousAt20 · 30/03/2012 15:33

Wow haven't been on here in a few days and there's a new post with 5 pages! :) and with the sun shining a perfect time to catch up ! Hope everyone is okay and feeling good.

foof I hope your okay, try to think positive sounds like lots of women on here have had their symptoms ease off abit and so have I a bit, so hopefully it's nothing to worry about :)

Tiredness is getting worse and worse but sickness and sore boobs have eases off ALOT!! Favorite time of the day is bed time Blush. Someone told me before then when you get pregnant it's one of the most amazing things in the world and you feel amazing and great, hmm Hmm well I agree it's an amazing thing but feeling amazing? What a big damn lie roll on 12 weeks for us all :)

NervousAt20 · 30/03/2012 15:57

Does anyone know if it's safe to get your hair dyed at the hairdressea, tried to google but just get info on different brands this and that Confused

WaitingForMe · 30/03/2012 16:00

Not sure who feels wonderful but my two closest friends both found pregnancy really tough.

I just went through my wardrobe and I only have six dresses (I only wear dresses) that fit out of 26. One is very much an evening dress and two is are sundresses.

So do I buy maternity dresses now or do I try to find dresses in a dress (or two!) size up? My stomach is as flat as it was before but I'm reluctant to buy stuff that won't fit in a matter of weeks.

WaitingForMe · 30/03/2012 16:02

NervousAt20 - Everything I read suggested dying your hair is fine. I had mine done on Wednesday at the hairdressers.

NervousAt20 · 30/03/2012 16:05

Thank you waitingforme :)

Thechick · 30/03/2012 16:07

YellowWellies and Candypop it is lovely seeing the heartbeat isn't it. I saw the heartbeat on Tuesday and I'm still a bit worried. They asked if I wanted a reassurance scan in a couple of weeks, which we are going to have. Does anyone say no to those things?? The only thing that's saving me from going completely crazy is that morning sickness seems to be kicking in. It was 13 years ago I had my ds but I really don't remeber feeling like this, I felt off a little but water or crackers made it go away. Now everything is just making it worse. I'm trying to do an online shop and I think I might have to get the OH to do it or there will be nothing on there apart from cured meats and white rice. Feel like real crap, and my boobs are getting heavier every evening. All good signs.

WestWingCJ · 30/03/2012 16:07

Waitingforme - I find that maternity stuff in the right size is more flattering than just getting larger clothes. You won't get any more wear out of the larger clothes than you will maternity - and you will need maternity stuff at some stage.

Maybe get dresses that would look nice with a waist belt to cinch you in before you grow, although a lot of maternity is empire line.

Or get some cheap jersey dresses for the next few weeks and then you can use them again after the birth before you get back to your original shape - ha ha ha Grin
