Just checking in! Wow, this moves fast :)

8+4 Today and have booking in appt on Monday, might feel a bit more real then, think its not sunk in yet as not told anyone and getting away very lightly with symptoms (No MS, just sore boobs and needing to get up in night for wee) and yes TheDetective my dogs stink too, glad its warm and dry enough to kick them outside!

Lucky enough that my clothes seem to fit again this week, bit tight last couple of weeks but seem ok for now (phew!)

Congrats to all those having scans and hearing heart beats, fingers crossed for all those with worries x x

CandyPop · 30/03/2012 22:01

funthatisfunny I thought I was 6+5 but they have revised my dates after the scan and say I'm 6+1. Unfortunately it was with the dildocam Blush
However, it's nothing to worry about as it doesnt hurt at all :)
5 days at this stage makes a difference so maybe normal one will be fine for u.

blonderthanred · 30/03/2012 23:26

Little, that is great news.

My scan was dildocam, doc said I hadn't drunk enough (2 pts!) for them to see externally. They used the measurements to revise my dates from 8+1 to 7+6, they seemed fairly confident of its accuracy and it fits in with what I originally thought taking into account cycles.

Just been out with some friends, no-one clocked DH and I weren't drinking, we even had a whole conversation about babies without me blurting our secret out! Quite proud. DH now buying chips (sorry any grease phobes). Feel a bit rubbish but mostly overtired I think.

Stuntnun · 31/03/2012 07:27

Morning all! Welcome to the weekend.

EssexWelsh my MS didn't really kick in until after then and even now it's quite variable, sometimes it lasts all day but sometimes I get a good lunch and/or dinner in.

Fun make sure your bladder is full and they may be able to scan your tummy. I recommend taking a bottle of water with you in case they ask for a urine sample so you can fill up again! Even so the dildocam isn't that bad, it's quite slender and it's not sore. If you're remembering having a smear it's not like that at all because there's no speculum (which is the sore bit of the smear test).

Belgrano and Detective you sound like you're having a really tough time. Roll on 12 weeks, maybe it'll clear up for you then.

Little9 · 31/03/2012 08:14

Thanks Ladies. It is such a relief to know all is well at the moment. Had such a full bladder that I nearly pee'd on the couch!!! Blush

DH - have you added me to the Facebook page yet? I PM'd you earlier this week but can't see anything on FB? Probably me being stupid!!

Need to start thinking about finding a new girls name. Had one sorted for years but one of my friends used it for her baby last year. How rude, lol!!!!

My dogs are currently running around like mad hounds in the garden and round the house. Think it's time for walkies!! Have a good y'all. :o

funthatisfunny · 31/03/2012 11:11

thanks for the advice stunt, blonder and candy. I had a scan at 7 weeks (thought I was nine though - surprise pill pregnancy!) and had it normally but I needed the loo so badly I had to go and let some out about three times before the scan. I was nearly crying with the pain! My scan is at 9am so lord knows how I will get enough liquid in in time but would be so embarrassed having dildocam with Dh and DS there!

eek!

Am finishing a chapter this morning, hurray, and no sickness so far hurrah hurrah!

WestWingCJ · 31/03/2012 11:25

I had my scan at seven weeks - just on my tummy and an empty bladder - oops! They still got good pics though. Had dildocam with DD and it's pretty discreet - paper blanket thingy over your legs - and DH and any other spectators stay at the head end!!!

blonderthanred · 31/03/2012 11:38

I would second what WW says - my mum was there as well as DH and it really wasn't embarrassing. I was given a sheet to wrap myself in so no-one saw anything, even the gynae.

Also wasn't at all painful, just slightly weird feeling when he was wiggling it around to look for my ovaries.

p.s. did everyone else know they can tell which ovary you ovulated from? Blew. My. Mind.

FoofFighter · 31/03/2012 11:54

Didlo cam is fine :) although they do put a condom on it, so depending how old your son is you might want to ask them to be discreet!

WestWingCJ · 31/03/2012 12:45

Hey foof how are you today?

TheDetective · 31/03/2012 12:46

I feel so down :( I feel useless and disgusting. I haven't even got the energy to get in the shower and wash my greasy horrible hair.

The house still stinks of 'something' that makes me feel ill. The dog is making me feel ill, and I can't get her to go away. There is dog hair everywhere because no one can keep on top of the sodding hoovering. And the wardrobe baskets (Ikea things) just fell out and broke on both sides.

Its all I could do to drag myself out of bed by lunch time today.

I don't think this is good.

Roll on November?

Brockle · 31/03/2012 13:20

Not a good week: stinking cold, general meh and major work stress. Currently working for two bosses which is impossible. Being cheered up by trip to cinema and a burger king afterwards (dying for burger)

Intend to BF as did with my two DS's though will be coming to pipsicles for mastitis advice as got it bad last time. Love lansinoh Smile

Picking up next sale maternity clothes today. A bit plodgy but not busting out of anything. Just couldn't resist the bargain, their work trousers are amazingly soft and comfy. Can't wait to be off next week when I can just enjoy being pregnant.

blonderthanred · 31/03/2012 13:57

I feel like that today Detective. In fact have returned to my bed. I haven't had bad ms but today just feel indefinably awful. I so want to be a happy content pregnant person and not an exhausted one whinging about random aches and pains and worrying about every little twinge. This pregnancy is so wanted! But today I feel like I want to crawl into a hole.

Hope everyone else is faring better...

TheDetective · 31/03/2012 14:01

I'm glad I'm not alone Blonder. I feel less like a nutcase now.

DP text me saying he missed me. I text him back saying I was annoyed and pissed off. What the hell is wrong with me.

Good job DP is so patient. I had debriefed him on such changes. So he was well prepared at least.

I am sat here now, with vomit in my throat. Forcing it back down. Lovely.

Chunkychicken · 31/03/2012 14:19

Feel miserable at mo too. Hate my body. I stand up, I feel sick & dizzy. I lay down I feel exhausted & hungry. I feel I need to do something to get energized but then can't be bothered!!! I SOOOOO wanted to be pregnant again too. I def didn't feel like this with DD, I has such an easy time of it!!! Plus I think I have a cold coming too. :(

2 things that have cheered me up a smidge: Sainsbury fruit ice lollies (like magic in a stick, I swear) and Pepsi max from a can in a tall glass with loads of ice.

Chunkychicken · 31/03/2012 14:56

Also, I keep noticing how filthy the house is (is it hormones making senses better, the lighter days or just that I'm looking around more???) and haven't got the energy to do anything about it.

Plus DH, bless him, does the washing up a lot but usually far too quickly & everything stays a bit 'grubby' but I haven't got the inclination to moan or the energy to do it myself again. Grrrr.

Really hoping that the 2nd trimester brings a better 'me' Hmm

daisychain76 · 31/03/2012 15:21

Sounds like there is a lot of us suffering today, here's hoping the feel-good hormones kick in soon for us all! After 3 weeks of nausea I have now progressed to actually being sick - the day before I take my two DCs on a three hour train journey to visit London - joy! Not best pleased with DH who, on seeing me throwing up in the lounge wastepaper bin (so as not to disturb DCs upstairs) commented "you'II have to clean that up later" before racing out the door to work without a backwards glance!

Didn't even know Next did maternity clothes, so out of touch am I with that sort of thing!

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 31/03/2012 15:33

Can't believe we're on thread 3 already - I haven't even caught up with 2nd one yet. There are so many of us!

Feeling pretty rotten here, and I'm only 6.5 weeks. :-( I'm trying vit b6 to see if that helps with the nausea, will report back if it does.

Detective - re. the horrible smell, I recommend lemon essential oil - I've been burning it in an oil burner and it is good. One of the few smells I can stomach.

I HATE this part. I know feeling sick is a good sign, but it's hideous. I have a hangover and I haven't been drinking. Roll on 2nd trimester.

DebussyHead · 31/03/2012 15:33

Sorry so many are feeling Envy. I went for an hour's walk this morning in the hills with DH and DD. Had pub lunch then home and I felt exhausted! DH took DD to playpark to let me lie down and I fell asleep and not been off sofa for 2 hrs now. Feel totally Envy and wiped out! You'd think I'd run a marathon not a 1 HR walk.

DH now in garden with DD he is doing well entertaining her so I can rest. Just feel so meh and mopey and sick and flabby and spotty. First trimester really does suck. Roll on 12 weeks.

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 31/03/2012 15:35

Ha, crossed post Debussy. Roll on indeed.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 31/03/2012 16:14

Hello everyone. I had my first midwife appt on thurs. was a bit of a downer as due to my massive bleed and clot she said I will have my proper booking/screening appt after my next scan to make sure it's worth doing basically! So I have scan on 4th April and booking appt on 19th which is ages away, I still don't have a due date yet cos no point using my cycles as they were ridiculous like over 100 days!

Hope the people feeling rubbish feel better soon. I have no symptoms and am almost positive it'll be bad news next week but I guess there's not much I can do!

NervousAt20 · 31/03/2012 16:30

Friends birthday tonight and I don't know how I'm gunna cope when I'm desperate to crawl into bed now :(

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2012 17:07

Had a dreadful week - doctors thought DD1 (5) had leukaemia. Thankfully it is only a clotting disorder so unlikely to hurt her too much. She is being monitored closely by hospital. DD2 has been ill too, and I have still been at work full time with MS. I told everyone at work about the pregnancy to give an excuse for my emotional lability.

blonderthanred · 31/03/2012 17:16

Sorry to hear that Izzy. We'll all have our fingers xed for you on the 4th.

Valium, that sounds dreadful. I'm so glad to hear it isn't Leukaemia but what a terrible strain the week must have been.

FoofFighter · 31/03/2012 18:21

Shit ValiumQueen that sounds super scary. Well i know it is as a nephew got diagnosed/rushed into hospital with it the day before my wedding to ex husband. So glad to hear it's not that, you must be utterly relieved.

Izzy that wasn't very bloody tactful of them was it?!

So sorry to hear people are suffering badly with sickness and nausea just now, had a little moment of my own today in the car, almost blew my chunks everywhere!

Went on a trip to tell OH's grannys the news, one was very nice, the other said "silly buggers!" Hmm

have been getting hunger pangs every 2 hours or so, feels weird, rarely get any at all!

WWCJ feeling much better today thank you, was having a bit of a meltdown moment yesterday but we went out to the pub last night and fell in with some friends who are really pleased for us and were all joking about pregnancy stuff and it's really lifted my spirits. :)
