Didn't want dinner because I'm so bloated, then was starving by 7 so had toast but feel sick, great.

Got my booking in app on wed, feels like I've waited AGES for it, still got at least 3 weeks til my scan too.

TheDetective · 09/04/2012 21:10

Sorry pinkapples can I blame baby brain yet?! Good luck for wednesday, and good luck for whichever lucky person has theirs tomorrow!

2 weeks 2 days til my 12 week scan. I was getting excited about it, but right now, I'm not. I am stressing so much over not knowing how long this sickness is going to go on for. Worrying about the amount of medication I am taking. I now have cyclizine, ondansetron, stemetil and ranitidine. And yes. I rattle.

I just don't know what to do with myself. Please please please let this pass at 12 weeks.

pinkapples · 09/04/2012 21:35

Ohhh I bet your excited for your scan how are you keeping calm??

Let us know how your booking appointment goes hopefully if I've got a sticky bean they'll sort me out with an apt on weds don't know if I'll have to stay at the hospital and get appointments from there or whether they'll just let me go and hand me to a gp well see... This is all dependent on Wednesday of course

Thechick · 09/04/2012 21:39

I have a scan tomo but I think there is someone else too. I'll be 8 weeks, yay. I am a little bit nervous, they said the baby was measuring a little bit small at the first scan two weeks ago, but ive heard that some people cant even see a heartbeat at 6 weeks and we did see one and i think i may be one day out on my dates, but kind of trying not to think about it too much.

I haven't had any proper ms today but I am going to try having the pregnacare in the evenings and see if that makes me feel any better.

Thank you Daisychain and chunkychicken for your bra advice. Will check them out. Just wondering now if I should bother getting measured now or waiting a little while longer when my boobs have settled thing, and have you ladies stopped wearing underwired or are you just doing whatever?

I've just got back from eating at Cosmo, that all you can eat place. My goodness I am so full and tired. Won't need to eat for a week. So glad I didn't have ms because that would be the worst place to go if you can't eat, lol!

pinkapples · 09/04/2012 22:07

Ohhh good luck for tomorrow Grin

I'm still wearing underwired but not really having many boob related issues so think I'll be fine for a bit x

Night all

pipsicles · 09/04/2012 22:46

Pears sound good Detective! I know what you mean about not wanting to eat something that hasn't previously stayed down though - I had a rather nasty experience with an avocado in my first pg - it was a rather shocking colour too!

Evil, I'm picking up my new car Friday too! Is it a sensible family car, or a fun car? Ours is sensible family, but a nice spec, so a bit fun too!

Feeling nervous about my scan tomorrow...! I've been feeling really positive the last couple of days - loads of pg symptoms that make me feel all must be well, even with nausea tailing off, but still that pesky spotting that is casting a shadow of doubt. Fingers crossed...

I remember looking back at the end of my first pg and worrying that I didn't enjoy it enough and vowing I would relish every minute next time around. Now I'm there again, I realise why I was wishing it away - we're always looking forward to the next milestone that makes us feel more 'safe'! These 12 weeks are HARD!

Right. MUST go to bed - I couldn't get up this morning to tend to DS - DH and then mil did it Blush - I clearly can't cope with late nights anymore!

pipsicles · 09/04/2012 22:50

X post with those last few posts! Virtual handholding with you chick I hope we both get good news!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/04/2012 06:58

My boobs are starting to hurt more and because I bf ds I know what to look for. My milk ducts are coming back to life, bit early they won't be needed for another 7 months!

Tiago · 10/04/2012 07:06

Hi pipsicles and chick. I also have a scan today - 8pm this evening. Hope all goes fine for us. I'm a bit scan crazy at present - the first was fine at 8 weeks, I have one today, and assuming that all is ok, another at 12 weeks (also private) and then the nhs one at 14 weeks. DH thinks I am crazy, but understands given our history.

Tiago · 10/04/2012 07:07

DH21 - I only have boob pain on one side which is a bit Hmm

NervousAt20 · 10/04/2012 07:28

pip chick tiago good luck to all of you with your scans today and really hope you all see what you wish for good :)

pinkapples · 10/04/2012 07:32

Ohhh so exciting scans today hope all goes well what times are they all just so we can have an order of good news Grin

WestWinger · 10/04/2012 07:55

Good luck for your scans today. Fingers crossed for you x

Stuntnun · 10/04/2012 08:38

When I got up yesterday, DS2 jumped into my lap and I thought my boobs were going to explode they're so tender. I had bought a couple of cheapo bras from M&S to keep me going but they just weren't giving enough support. So I took myself off to John Lewis for a proper bra fitting and was measured at 36F for the left and 36E for the right. I used to be 32DD wail. Anyway now I have two comfy well-fitting bras for £14 each that seem to have made all the difference with the pain. The lady in John Lewis said they should do for the pregnancy then to go back in the last month for nursing bras. I'm glad I went now as I'm a lot more comfortable. Definitely worth it.

horseylady · 10/04/2012 08:55

Good luck for your scans!!! I went out for sushi last night and cinema. Drove home and felt rough think dh was not happy again with me feeling ill. Walked into house and just threw up :( think he realised I wasn't faking!! Boobs calmed down and I feel fine this morning it's jut nights which hurt!

Thechick · 10/04/2012 09:06

Thanks all for all the good wishes for the scan. Fingers crossed it will all be okay. The way my boob is hurting at the mo, it better be good news, lol!! Tiago I only have pain in one too, and it's visibly bigger. When I do get measured I'm sure I'll be a cup size different like you stuntnun

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/04/2012 09:11

Not much news to report my end, just wanted to say good luck to all those with scans today. And pinkapples all the best for yours tomorrow. Here's hoping this board has lots of positive scan news over the next couple of days.

GsyAutumn · 10/04/2012 09:33

Echoing other comments, good luck for all those with scans today. I have my booking in appointment tomorrow, then the dating scan on Monday. That will be interesting as I don't have a very regular cycle, so my EDD might change after that. Will also have to pluck up the courage to tell my mum after that, if all is well! Today ALL I want to eat is tinned pineapple. Half a tin for breakfast, and think I will pop out in my lunchbreak for another tin.....MS is such a misnomer. I was fine, just generally nauseous yesterday until about 9pm after which the floodgates opened! I am certainly wishing away the weeks days of this pg!

ItalaItala · 10/04/2012 09:41

Good Morning (hopefully) Everyone

Good luck to all the scans going on today/ tomorrow.
I had a lie-in yesterday and 6hrs straight sleep and felt soooooo much better for it. Then DD2 woke up at 4.45 this morning and I didn't manage to get her off again until just before 6 when DH alarm went off and so DD1 got up.... Grrr.

Stuntmum hooray what price comfy boobs Grin

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2012 09:47

Good luck with scans ladies Smile

I had my booking in appointment with midwife yesterday. I had to take my 5yo with me, so she knows now, and is very excited Grin I have told her it will be a long wait, and sometimes babies are taken back to heaven. She seemed to understand, but when she went to bed, she asked if the baby would be born tomorrow Confused

DD2 was up all night vomiting with a high temp Sad She only finished her antibiotics on saturday. I am glad I am still off work on leave, but DD1 and I had fun planned.

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/04/2012 09:54

tiago and thechick my boob pain started out just one side and now seems to be both, I guess they develop at different rates and I've always had one bigger than the other and preg/ bf seemed to make it more obv.

Quick question for those who aren't suffering ms, what is everyone eating snack wise? I'm always hungry it seems to keep the nausea at bay but all I've got is crap unhealthy good and my body is crying out for healthy things (for once!) but I can't think of anything for eating between meals, anyone have any ideas?!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/04/2012 09:55

Food*

pipsicles · 10/04/2012 10:13

Thanks for the well wishes, ladies. Hopefully there will be lots of good news here by the end of today and then even more tomorrow!

DH- I find dried fruit and nuts a good snack. Nuts like almonds are high in protein, which helps you to feel full and the dried fruit will help prevent constipation if you are suffering. I didn't have any last pg, but do often suffer in 'normal' life, and I swear it's because I was eating so much fruit and veg! Raisins are an obvious option, but I also like trying out other different stuff too, like figs - I like the crunch! There are also bars called nakd that only have raw dried fruit and nuts which are a bit expensive, but really handy to shove in your bag when you're out without having to faff around putting things in bags and stuff. My favourite is the mint chocolate one! Mmmm... I wish I had some now!

Vallium, sorry to hear about DD - hopefully it's just a 24hr thing? Your DD1s response is v cute!

Brockle · 10/04/2012 10:14

Hello! Looking forward to hearing about all the scans going on. I don't have mine until the 9th May so lot of finger twiddling until then. Driving DH nuts with food and smell aversions. He is banned from making bread until the nausea wears off. The smell of yeast just turns my stomach. Off to take DS's out for a walk. Need to move off the sofa.

Really sorry to hear about Foo, puts a lot in perspective xx

nutellaontoast · 10/04/2012 10:20

Good luck to all with scans!

I have just ordered a new bra also, DIY measuring job as no hope of getting to a proper shop soon. Ah the days of being a 32DD eyes go misty.

In other nostalgia news, I have a wild craving for one of those toasty machines, you know, the ones that squish your bread into triangles with a nuclear-hot filling within. Ummmm.

I have discovered the secret to being a normally-functioning adult: bed at 9:30.

And something terrible has happened. I have gone. Off. BACON. Husband made me a lovely bacon buttie this morning, I couldn't touch it.
