TheDetective · 04/04/2012 15:35

Foof It's good that it is brown. It is probably nothing to worry about - it's all very very common. Look forward to seeing your baby on friday!

Nervous I cried too on sunday, 4 attempts at a cannula, and it bloody hurt! I am a real wimp! Quite happy and enjoy to do it on other people though! How sadistic!

I am feeling very brave right now. I am having a bad day. Vomited 4 times, so decided to go for the IM. I was shaking doing it. BUT I DID IT!!! And it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought, and the stinging was negligible, seems its actually better to do it yourself lol! Now its only been 30 mins, but the excessive salvation has stopped, and so has the nausea. Giving it 30 more minutes and then going to try and eat/drink if I haven't vomited!

I feel very sorry for DS, being stuck in here with me over the holidays. I think I am going to have to check the bank balance and see if I can afford to get him some new dvds and bits and bobs to keep him busy! Poor child!

TheDetective · 04/04/2012 15:41

Checked bank. Phew. Seems being sick has curtailed my spending rather a lot. Will get DS some treats! God knows he deserves it, he's such a good lad at home.

FoofFighter · 04/04/2012 16:18

It's till going but has tailed off from this morning, shall try to not worry!

Just back from the Sponsored Toddle, think I successfully avoided the TV cameras! Have posted a few pics up on the FB group if anyone's interested :) and watch out on Daybreak for the story, it's a wee boy with retinablastoma.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/04/2012 16:48

Hi all. Well I got my scan date through today and it was 9th may. I knew it would be for then as I'm away that week! Luckily I spoke to a lovely lady who got me a rearranged one for 30th april. It's in the morning and I have my booking in appointment that afternoon so means going to and from the same hospital in one day. But I'm very grateful that she managed to get me one before I go away as I'll be over 13wks when we get back and that would be leaving it rather late to do the nuchal testing.

I'm looking forward to the Easter break. Will be nice to have dh at home for a bit.

Good luck to those that have scans over the next couple of days.

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/04/2012 17:38

Had an even busier day than planned and didn't get to make my choc rice crispie cakes! Had a really good day spent with a newish friend who I think will be a v good friend over the years to come.

Doing now I'm starving, ms seems to have eased off still get really bloated after eating even small things.

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/04/2012 17:41

Doing dinner*

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/04/2012 18:12

Ooo dh21 I'm going to make chocolate cornflake nests tomorrow. Got some rice krispies in the cupboard so might make some of those too. Not sure how many will survive with dd "helping" me!

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/04/2012 18:35

Lol I'll make mine over the Easter weekend, I'm sure ds will enjoy it!

Evilwater · 04/04/2012 19:00

Just a quick to say hi to everyone,
I can't read any posts as I'm doing nights, and they are very busy.

I have my scan in the morning, 0810. Wish me luck!

EW

Thechick · 04/04/2012 19:20

Hi back atcha Evilwater. Good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

daisychain76 · 04/04/2012 19:26

Good luck, Evilwater! Just got back from 3 nightmare days "on holiday" in London where DD got a stomach bug and so spent the entire time in the hotel room with DH while I dragged a full-of-cold DS round the sights. Also started having some spotting, which has made me a bit anxious, though hoping it was a case of over-doing stuff (311 steps up to the top of the Monument for a start!) Actually managed to hold off being sick for the entire time, then got off the train in home town and was sick 4 times outside the supermarket. Roll on 12 weeks! Really fancy chocolate cornflake nests now - but is it wrong to make them without the children?!

Little9 · 04/04/2012 19:49

Hello all. Seem to be feeling nauseous at night this week.

Foof I've been getting brown discharge for nearly two weeks now. It is just old uterus lining coming out as my body hasn't absorbed it. Apparently very common and may continue throughout pg!!!! Had scan last Fri and all was ok, so I'm sure all will be well.

My lovely DH made some chocolate mousse today. Just as I was about to tuck into a big bowl full, I suddenly realised he had made it with uncooked eggs!!! Bugger!!!

Good luck for tomorrow, EW. Fingers crossed for you, x

Tiago · 04/04/2012 20:27

Good luck for tomorrow EW. That's very early of a day.

Tiago · 04/04/2012 20:34

I am in the "knackered" camp for symptoms. The boobs have given up hurting and I have occasional nausea, but very little. So tired though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/04/2012 21:03

Feel sick and sore boobs tonight. Have slight pulling pain over to the left. Keep worrying I've overdone it but then think generally I don't do much so would be surprised!

ew good luck tomorrow, I agree tis a v early scan, at least you won't be hanging around all day.

pipsicles · 04/04/2012 21:28

All the best for the scan tomorrow EW! Kind of jealous though - Foof I'm with you on the spotting and trying not to worry camp again tonight. I've been busy trying to pack on my own today for us to go up North to visit the in-laws with a DS who slept only 40mins ALL DAY! Needless to say, I was NOT impressed! Wondering if trying to do lots isn't helping? Any thoughts Detective? Pinkapples when you were spotting, did you contact your MW or hospital or anything? With is being away, I don't really know what I do. I've bought my notes with me, just in case, and I really don't want to be wasting anyone's time by fussing, but am worrying about it. It has helped me a bit reading about so many people spotting on here though - thanks for sharing as it is making me feel better! DH is being as lovely as he can be - he would be sad to lose this little bean too evil, irrational cow that I am accused him of being happy about it yesterday!, but I know he finds it hard to know what to say.

Sorry for the moan, again! I've just finished my share of the driving and DH is doing the last hour and a half, so will try to relax and not think of spotting!

Gutted about the mousse Little that sounds lovely! I'm actually in the uncooked eggs are okay camp, but only after 12 weeks. I started eating dippy egg (mmmmmm!) after my dad pointed out in the last few weeks of my last pg that I would have to be EXTREMELY unlucky to be the first person to get salmonella from an uncooked egg in this country in 20years when pregnant! I thought he had a good point and decided that I'd only restrict myself during the crucial first trimester this time! (Unless anyone else has conflicting evidence...?)

I'm jabbering again. And DH is getting lonely.

applepieinthesky · 04/04/2012 21:39

Good luck for tomorrow EW x

Tiredness is my worst symptom and I've had killer boobs the last few days as well. I'm a size 12 but my bust is 38E already so really hope they don't grow too much or I will look ridiculous Blush

Have been managing to keep nausea at bay by eating little and often, this seems to help enormously. Mainly junk food though apart from the occasional fruit salad.

I have a busy easter weekend coming up. Shopping and cinema friday, six hour round trip to visit family on saturday, dog show on sunday and a well deserved break on monday I think. What plans does everyone else have?

applepieinthesky · 04/04/2012 21:41

mmmmm dippy egg! My favourite Smile

izzybizzybuzzybees · 04/04/2012 21:55

Hi everyone.

i had my scan today. They measure baby as 8weeks 2 days which is where my ovulation date make me so that is good. Baby is doing fine although the clot is still there. I have to have a scan again in two weeks and then my actual 12 week scan on May the 1st. I feel a little calmer and am a bit more hopeful of baby sticking around.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Oh and i have been having runny eggs too, i love them. Actually had 4 with double yolks at the weekend and cant wait to crack the other two in the box to see if they are the same! [sad emoticon]

pinkapples · 04/04/2012 21:59

Hey pip I didn't contact the mw as I don't have one (didn't want to bother ppl if bean is not hereSad) going for an early scan on Wednesday next week... But I did phone my fertility clinic who said just wait it out as it is still early and they couldn't stop it if anything did happen... If it stops they said that's probably a good sign but that spotting is very very common an not to worry they were very reassuring and I would try not to worry pip although it is hard and it is killing me having to wait

pinkapples · 04/04/2012 22:00

I'll be chilling and eating Easter eggs to see out the next 6 days

pipsicles · 04/04/2012 22:08

Thanks Pink I know there's nothing we can do - if it's not sticky, then it's not and that's for the best really, but it's still difficult. I can't remember who it was earlier saying that it's amazing how attached you get so quickly. I keep trying to explain to DH that you can't help but think about the little thing all day long when you constantly feel nauseous/tired/irrational! We'll just have to see. My scan is not until the 25th, when I'll be 11+6. We can't really justify paying for an early scan, so I'll just have to keep plodding along and reassuring myself by remembering that feeling sick and tired is a GOOD thing! At least on my scan date it will be a definite (as it can be!) yes or no I suppose!

pipsicles · 04/04/2012 22:09

Good to hear I'm not don't one Izzy! Where are you getting your double yolkers from? A farm shop? Jealous!

pipsicles · 04/04/2012 22:10

Not the only one* - tired methinks! Also, glad to hear your scan went well and good to hear you're feeling calmer. :)
