Right DH (he doesn't know it yet) is now onto washing duty, just reaching down into the wash bin had a dizzy / faint / nausea spell and landed on my forehead on the corner of a chest of drawers. OWWWWWWWWWW massive bloody dent right in the middle of my forehead, surrounded by a big white egg. Sod housework for a bunch of biscuits....

pipsicles · 03/04/2012 18:35

OW! yellow! Definitely DH's job!

Welcome and congrats on your twins nebbo! How are you feeling about it?! DH is always pleased when I tell him of twins on here because he says it reduces the chance of us having twins!!! Male logic!

Please don't worry about moaning on here detective - it's what this is here for and we all do it at some stage!

Foof how was the snow today?!

Had my booking in today, which I found exciting, but I am easily pleased! We filled in all the forms etc together and it took an HOUR in total, but I didn't mind one bit. Probably because DH was home looking after chicken poxy DS! Plus it made it all feel a bit more real! I have a corker of a bruise on my arm now - it's a good job it's turned cooler as it's a bit of a give away! (not that I've been that good at keeping it a secret anyway in fairness!)

A slight dampner on today's excitement has been the specky browny pinky blood I just wiped away on the loo :( I've done the Maths and worked out that it could be a break through bleed - I think I had one last month too. Fingers crossed anyway. I think I'm going to be obsessive knicker checker tonight.

anicecuppatea · 03/04/2012 18:42

Ladies... May I join you? Currently 6+4 and hoping this is third time lucky following two mmcs. My stats: [32] DC1 EDD 23/11/12. wellies! Ouch!

blonderthanred · 03/04/2012 18:49

Housework is dangerous, yellow.

FoofFighter · 03/04/2012 18:52

Pip it's all but gone now, melted and hopefully it won't ice over tonight as I have a sponsored walk thing to do tomorrow and going to be on Daybreak on Thursday morning please don't watch it!
Good luck on your knicker watch, hopefully it's as you say, I also had one on Friday when would have been due on and nothing since.

hi anicecuppatea (may I call you cuppa?) welcome and congratulations and good luck too Thanks

YW ouchyafecker that must have hurt!

Could someone please tell me a little more about this vitamin b6 that is supposed to ease the sickness in some people? I asked at the pharmacy in sainsburies and was told that I would need it on prescription! WTF?

misslaughalot · 03/04/2012 19:20

Peaky I don't know about others, but the pregnancy multivitamin I've been taking has B6 in it. Dunno if that's been helping my nausea at all, I've had it quite lightly.

KMBatfink · 03/04/2012 19:34

Ladies, I have been to the doctors today and they have told me my EDD is 3 December and not 30 November as worked out on one of the websites. I will therefore be talking on the December threads.

I've enjoyed talking to you all and hope all goes well for everyone. xx

TheDetective · 03/04/2012 19:51

Foof What channel is daybreak on?! Whatever it is, I will be watching and searching for yoooooou!

DH Definitely deligate all house work to DH!! Don't be surprised to find things done to an, erm, lesser standard than yours though!!! I am getting rather frustrated at the state of my kitchen, when I can bear to go in it, I run with a cloth around it and hope for the best when I can! All things kitchen are DPs domain at the moment. I can't face it! Not even the fridge! It stinks! Its gonna need a damn good spring clean when this sickness is over! DP does not have the same cleaning skills it seems! This means DP is in charge of cooking, dishes, and doing the laundry, as well as keeping the kitchen 'clean'! Hmm

I have some good news on the hyperemesis front! I went to the GP this afternoon, and put my case forward for being given IM anti emetics for self administration. To my utter surprise, he agreed, and I now have 10 lovely vials of cyclizine for when things get out of control! To be reviewed in a week, but YAAAAAY!! The plan is now to take the oral in the morning, and then if I vomit more than 3 times before tea time, to use one at my 4pm dose so I can eat and drink in the evening, and then as I don't wake to vomit, sleep with the fluids and food doing their nutritious stuff lmao!

Only problem is, its one bitch of a sting! The needle part is easy, but OMG cyclizine stings! I might teach DP to do it.

No vomiting today, and kept on top of the oral medication, so I am really looking forward to the soup we should of had on sunday for tea!

TheDetective · 03/04/2012 19:55

Ooh, I forgot to add! Anyone else have some seriously random shopping in your trolleys at the minute?! I made it to the shop for some bits, and bought the biggest amount of fruit ever, and lots of sweets. That was it. Fruit and sweets.

I managed to completely forget we had run out of bread, cereal, and washing powder!!!

It seems this baby wants its 5-a-day! What baby wants, baby gets even if it does then decide it doesn't want it after all and sends it back through the hatch

pipsicles · 03/04/2012 20:21

My mum told me the other day that there's been some research done which suggests that boys sap more nutrients and energy from their mothers and that it takes us a longer time to recover from having them. It also suggested that if two boys are had close together, then the second boy is more likely to be born with a lower birth weight or be a sickly baby/child. When I think about people in this position, there does seem t be some truth in it, so she is on my case to make sure I am eating well and looking after myself! All the way through my pg with DS, I said I had no cravings, but have no realised that eating any kind of fruit or vegetable you can get your hands on does in fact count as a craving (d'oh) and am now wondering if my body was demanding nutrients to support my boy? So. Can anyone help me in my highly scientific experiment to see whether fruit and veg cravings = boy? Any experiences from the past? Maybe when people start finding out the sex (which I probably won't be) we could see if there is any correlation there? It might all be stupid, but I found it quite interesting.

Sorry for blabbing on. As usual.

Welcome and congratulations cuppa. Good luck with your December baby Batfink.

pipsicles · 03/04/2012 20:25

Foof when you had your breakthrough bleed last week, did you have EWCM too? Mine has gone from being dry this morning to EW and specky (with a couple of TINY red streaks Shock) tonight. Red streaks may be over zealous knicker checking?

pinkapples · 03/04/2012 20:31

Pip you sound like you are in the same boat I was... I had a bleed last week red but only when I wiped lasted about 4 days then brown spotting followed. Since sunday night I have had spotting on off of brown ish cm like 2/3 wipes per day (still browny) sorry tmi... That's why I haven't added to stats yet as I am hoping little bean is ok I would be 6+4 today so about 5 weeks when I started bleeding nothin much today tho scan is next Wednesday 11th no mw yet as there's no point if bean didn't stick which I'm hoping it has just tentatively waiting on Wednesday's scan but so scared its gone

spudmama · 03/04/2012 20:32

have moved on quite a bit since the last time i looked on here, hi to the new joiners and much love to those that have had to leave us.

Not feeling it today so have been repeating today i am pregnant and will enjoy it boobs not sore anymore although still looking on the large size. and nasusea not so bad almost gone ,should i be grateful or worried?

Had booking in with midwife took ages all the tests explained but none the wiser, she couldn't take bloods i have to go to the hospital now to have it done, am now thinking do i have a nuchel with bloods as she worked out that if it got to the point if i had to make any choices i would be about 18 weeks there isn't really a choice at that stage for me...
Anyway rant over no good talking to DH he is still pretending nothing is happening..

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/04/2012 20:38

Hello again. Sorry to those that are feeling yucky. I have been fine mostly, a few moments of boking (a true scots word) ie nearly being sick. I have no other symptoms worth mentioning really.

I haven't readded to stats yet as the miscarriage risk for me is so high. I have another scan tomorrow so will see what happens then. I might be able to relax a little if everything is ok.

Wish me luck!

EssexWelsh · 03/04/2012 20:42

Right ladies I'm sat at Heathrow just about to head off to Egypt, fingers crossed all goes ok, will be staying in the shade (as much as I can restrain myself) and drinking lots of bottled water! Have a great week all, will never keep up with the thread with no wifi, do will look out for thread 4 on my return! Also have my early scan Weds 11th when I get back do will let you know how it goes xx

pinkapples · 03/04/2012 20:51

Ohhh same day as me Essex have fun in Egypt keep healthy...

Little9 · 03/04/2012 20:55

Hello to all the newbies, and best wishes to the ones who have left us. Fingers crossed to all those with worries.

Am feeling a bit Envy at the mo. Luckily have not actually been sick yet though.

Am so damn tired, I can't really think of anything else to say (makes a change!). Good luck for tomorrow izzy, have a good hol EW.

YellowWellies · 03/04/2012 21:15

Pipsicles my sister had a boy and a girl. With the girl she craved shite, sweeties, haribo, fanta, stodge, bread, chocolate. With the girl she craved so much fruit and veg she was convinced she was having guy the gorilla! So yes I'd say from a grand scientific sample of one - the veg theory = boy could indeed be a go-er? Lots of love to all worrying, and suffering with boaking, yakking and nervous knicker checking and scan awaiting xxx

YellowWellies · 03/04/2012 21:16

God PG brain.... that should say with the BOY she craved fruit and veg... ferrrcrissakes can I have my brain back...

TheDetective · 03/04/2012 21:21

I think I craved fruit and veg with DS. I know I definitely craved roast potatoes/yorkshire puds all covered in gravy.

This time I am also wanting fruit and veg, but sweets too.

Shit. I just realised what that means!!! Errrrr...! Will have detailed check of all genitalia at deliver Grin

Thechick · 03/04/2012 21:35

I'm craving nothing. The thought of any type of food makes me feel sick. Cannot eat sweet things and have just gone off pitta and bread. I have no idea what I'm going to eat for breakfast tomorrow . Not sure if being sick will make me feel better. Today has def been the worst day so far I've felt bad for the whole day. Going to bed now. Goodnight all.

jenbird · 03/04/2012 22:11

Hi all,

Sickness not too bad today until evening. I have been taking a vitamin b complex and think that might be what helps keep it at bay. It has 50mg of B6 so am going to carry on taking it first thing. Fell pretty shi*e though I have to say.

Detective - on the shopping front I forgot cheese, milk, bread, fruit but did manage to buy half a kilo of fresh ginger and 20 red onions!

Haven't had any cravings this time yet. With my DS1 it was poached eggs on toast, with DD1 I couldnt get enough spicy stuff and with DS2 it was strawberry milk shake and jalepeno peppers so unfortunately I am no use on the fruit and veg = a boy thing. Only thing I feel like now is lucozade.

Night all x

pipsicles · 03/04/2012 22:24

Thanks for the evidence YW that's scientific enough for me! I hope that your cravings settle down to one or the other is it does mean that though Detective! Thanks for making me giggle!

Knickers and wiping clear now! Hurrah! just hoping it stays that way...

Have a lovely holiday Essex -I won't pretend I'm not a bit jealous because I am, but wouldn't swap DS, or this little bean for all the holidays in the world! Enjoy while you have the chance! :)

Off to bed now to rest my poor tired body and let my little Poppy Grape do its growing!

NervousAt20 · 04/04/2012 07:43
