Welcome to the list nebbo twins, thats so exciting.

I've been having a few meltdowns myself. I was almost in tears yesterday becasue I was starving in M&S and but didn't feel like anything. Not good. MS is getting worse. I haven't had a pregnancare today, i'm going to have it tonight with my main meal and see if that helps. Still feel crappy this morning but nibbling on pitta seems to be helping. Don't think I can handle this for another 5 weeks. Did not feel like this at all with my first.

Just wanted to come on and say thanks all for your kind words. hope desperately will be back on next week but have to prepare for the worst in the meantime.

I'm a little annoyed today. I'm not going to go on, but needless to say, management plan has gone tits up, and I am not a happy bunny. Going to the GP later for a sick note and to discuss the possibility of injecting myself.

I feel very very nauseous today. I've had a bit of a lie in (thanks to school hols!) so only been up since 11.30. So far no vomits, but that seems to be the pattern. I usually start a couple of hours after getting up.

My very lovely 10 year old DS is looking after me very well! I think he will make a woman very happy one day lol! He just made croissants under a distant watchful eye, and has hoovered for me! I taught him to iron last week but will only let him do it when I am there. He keeps asking if he can go and iron his clothes, but I'm so lethargic, I don't have the energy to supervise right now! Maybe later!!

I am going to try one of DS's croissants in a minute. Pray it stays down please!

Oh, to add insult to injury I have been suffering the extreme constipation in the last couple of days. Thank you body. As if I am not doing enough!! Suspect it is down to the dehydration. Tut.

So glad it is the holidays and I don't have to do the school run for 2 weeks!!

thedetective your ds sounds lovely. I spoke to my almost 13 yr old ds about ironing this morning and he wasn't having any of it. He has ironed a t shirt once or twice but thats about it. I need to whip that boy into shape quickly. I also told him, he's going to have to learn how to make a few signiture dishes for when the baby comes to help out. He laughed at me. He does help out with putting stuff away, clothes, dishes and has hoovered once, but if I have a cs for the first 6 weeks at least he's going to have to help out a lot more. Maybe I've spoilt him a little. Rod for my own back me thinks!!

Dp does his share too, but ds will be home sooner in the evenings!

desperatehousewife - yes I have had a huge questionnaire to fill in and return before my booking appointment. Asks tons of questions about my health, my family's health, ethnic background etc etc. I have to fill in 9 pages of questions and take a urine sample with me on the day.

Chick He is only like this when DP is not around. He turns in to stone age boy when DP is here. Won't do anything with out moaning, makes out he is hard done to, answers DP back.

It is so frustrating, as he wouldn't dare to it to me or his other family members. Poor DP gets a hard time!! I wish he could see this side to him, he's so caring the rest of the time!

I suspect DS's Dad has a lot to answer for in this case though....

Same here Chick! He's waited a long long time to be a big brother! He is so excited! He loves younger children, and has oodles of patience with them! He'll be a good help I'm sure when the baby arrives!

DS and I are now watching Marley and Me, while our lab looks on very interestedly! Normally she sleeps, or pesters for strokes all day! I love this film!

apple thanks! She said on the phone she'll drop the questionnaire round before the day so I have a chance to fill it out. The booking app is going to be at my house. I dont think it was last time but I do remember one of my apps I had to hang around at home for hours waiting for my useless mw.

I haven't had a questionnaire to fill in, but don't remember one for DD either & that was only 2.5yrs ago!! I have my appt next week at the Sure Start centre along the road & have been warned it'll take a while, so assume we'll fill it in as we go (which is pretty much what happened last time as I recall). I only saw the midwife at home after DD was born & the one time she had to check my blood pressure as it was high during our regular appointment (I had stomach flu in the days before).

I can't believe things are so different all across the country & we're in the same county DH21!!!

Getting a bit worried that a) things are not going to go well & I have so long to wait until the scan!! & b) if they do go well, I don't know how I'll cope with 2 DCs - DD is getting v interested in babies, & being v cute & gentle, but she'll be 2.7yo when this one is due & right into jealousy territory!!

I'm feeling quite good today nebbo :) have has quite bad MS even though I haven't actually been sick and have been soo tierd, in bed most nights about 8 how about you? I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow according to the little dial thing the MW use but praying im abit further as my cycles were never regular so fingers crossed closer to 12 weeks!
Same here probly told more people then we should but partner is soo excited its like trying to do mission impossible and keep it a secret lol

chunkychicken I know the feeling ds will be 2.4 and v jealous. In hoping it'll pass quickly. They adapt well and they'll realise this new baby isnt going away!

Thanks for all the welcomes, misslaughalot have you tried shopping around for a private scan. I live in south London and there are a number places around here that charged £100 for a scan but then I found a place in Kent just 20 mins from me that charged £50. I'm finding that every day is feeling like a week waiting for the NHS scan so I paid for peace of mind really.

Nervousat20, I'm so glad you are feeling better today, I honestly never thought morning sickness would be so debilitating. I don't seem to be as bad the last couple of days, but tiredness as started to set in now with regular naps needed. I know what you mean about wanting to be further along, she dated me 5 days ahead of what I had and my reaction was 'brilliant, is that 5 days less sickness, it all helps'!!

FINALLY managed to catch up on this enormous thread, been reading it for days and only just managed to get to the end so I can join in, and thats only coz I am sat on the sofa under a blanket not moving incase I barf! Sound familiar anyone?

Been a long break though as my other children are aged 18,16,13 and 9, I havnt told them yet as I think they are going to be shocked and a little bit disgusted that Mum's been having SEX
They are all Girls, yes all 4 and yes the hormones in my house are FOUL especially at the moment with me going into the regular tears/meltdows that some other have described. It will be DC No1 with new DP though as I got divorced from Girls Dad and then met DP 2 years ago. Sorry for the full history, I did apologise in advance for the waffle
Other than that, I feel sick all, day all evening and all night 24/7 which is foul so reading all the posts has been so lovely to know others are in the same boat or even worse detective so thanks all and looking forward to sharing more with you lovely ladies.
