Ps debussy your job sounds well high flying and exciting! Can you tell us what you do? I have paused my midwifery course due to DH being promoted and away a lot so i am a SAHM at mo, so don't have any helpful hints about working mothering stuff.

Belgrano · 02/04/2012 12:45

pinkapples how annoying, I'm very sorry they are prolonging your worry. Do they do the private reassurance scans in your area? Here you can pay £70 and have one between 7-12 wks via GPCare. Try looking that up if that interests you? Poor you.

ItalaItala · 02/04/2012 13:08

Good Afternoon All

About to go and have some lunch - had to leave the kitchen as DH cooked omlettes for the girls lunch [heave] I can't stand the smell of fried eggs/ omlettes even when normal.

thedetective hope your management plan is working and you are coping a bit better

debussy maybe you should tell work, I know it is early but then at least they can cut you some slack when you are not able to give 110%

belgrano emptying the sick bowl definately IS love Grin

Hope all the other ms sufferers are feeling ok - not long now until things should settle down.

NervousAt20 · 02/04/2012 13:15

Morning!
detective I really hope you feel better soon and the hospital manage to sort something out that works and lasts for you!
apples hope your okay, try to think postive lots of ladies on here have had scares and all has been well so fingers crossed the same for you, not sure on your location but there is a place by lecister that does reassurance scans for £50 and it's called face to face, don't know if that's any help to you but thought just to let you no :)

I was on here the other day and said my symptoms have eased! Well that has come back round to bite me, I'm in bed feeling very sorry for myself (I know plenty of ladies on here are having a much worser time then me but I'm not a good patient), after having a tantrum at partner this morning for him wishing me a good day Blush poor guy! Then to tesco for ice Lollys and that jorney made me come back to bed to hibernate. Sorry for the moan!

jenbird · 02/04/2012 13:30

Hi can I join in please. DC4 due on 20 Nov I think. Fell absolutely revolting but is reassuring to know I am not the only one! Def worst morning sickness of all pregnancies. Thank god for Lucozsde and fish finger sandwiches!

Thechick · 02/04/2012 13:58

Thank goodness for pitta and advocado and salad, those are the only things I can eat with out feeling sick right now. Not in the best of moods today!

Thechick · 02/04/2012 13:58

Welcome jenbird we have the same edd!

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/04/2012 14:45

detective sorry it's got bad again, hope it settles down soon it's no fun at all being sick is it :(

pinkapples sorry they didn't scan you, roll on the 11th!

I feel so shattered everyday at this time. I feel like I should take ds out, it's sunny here. I took him to the group this morning so at least he's been out.

FoofFighter · 02/04/2012 15:01

Back from MW. Bloods done. She's sending me for a reassurance scan this Friday due to my mental state panicking Blush made great pains to tell me she thought that nothing was amiss but just to set my mind at ease so I don't have to wait another 4 weeks for peace of mind.

FoofFighter · 02/04/2012 15:22

ok just gone back and caught up.

detective Sad Thanks very very sucky and I hope they manage to sort you out with a programme of treatment that works for you x

belgrano don't worry about moaning on here, we aren't playing symptom top trumps! nobody will be offended I am sure and thinking oh shut up I am far worse, we all know how bad it can be x

jen welcome! congrats on your BFP Thanks

thechick that sounds lovely and healthy :) I made some guacamole last week and it went down a treat, lovely and zingy and light and fresh, nomnom.

Hi everyone, I can't keep up with the pace this thread moves!

7+5 today and feel rubbish. I hate being pregnant! not actually been sick yet but it's just the nausea all the time, it's awful. It seems most of us are suffering the same thing.

Big week for me as I return to work on Weds after my maternity leave from DC1! Really not looking forward to coming back and telling them I'm pg again! Not planning to tell until after the scan though, unless the sickness gets very bad and I have any absences to explain...
Very glad of the bank holiday on friday so only have 2 working days to get through this week!

I did tell my mum the other day, she seemed surprised as DS is only just 1 and asked me if it was planned! (yes!) but she's pleased.

I had a childbirth dream last night, it was very strange, in it the baby was 4 weeks early (not a premonition i hope!) and was a tiny little thing. I had no pain relief at all but it wasn't painful in the dream, very strange. - this is the complete opposite to my birth with DS, who was 14 days late, after a very long and painful labour ending in a caesarean!

can i just add - maternity clothes are fabulous, the comfiest things ever - I confess although DS is 1 I haven't quite stopped wearing some of the mat clothes from last time round! :)

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 02/04/2012 15:32

Poor you Detective, I can't imagine how awful you are feeling right now. Hope they get it a bit more under control soon.

Stuntnun · 02/04/2012 15:45

Foof it's a good thing we aren't playing symptom top trumps as I think Detective would have won ten times over by now!

DebussyHead · 02/04/2012 15:49

Belgrano I would not class my job as exciting just stressful! I'm a management consultant. Actually considering a total career change especially with DC2 on its way as would prefer a better work life balance. Just need to think of something exciting to do for a living!

Foof, thechick your guacamole sounds yummy! Today I ahd an egg mayo roll, a packet of cheese and onion crisps and just polished off a sugar donut! It was delicious but I really need to get a grip on what I am eating if I want to avoid the 4 stone weight gain I had last time! I just want carbs at the moment - pasta plus chips with a side of crisps and donut for dessert. Lol! Hopefully the leafy green cravings will kick in in 2nd trimester!

Stuntnun · 02/04/2012 15:51

Belgrano you have one of the earliest EDDs so please let us know when the MS stops so the rest of us will know how long we have to go! With my DS1 and DS2 at exactly 12 weeks I went from full-blown MS one day to absolutely nothing the next day. The fatigue eased up at the same time. So here's hoping for the same this time round. Only a few weeks to go until the second trimester!

FoofFighter · 02/04/2012 15:54

stuntnun yep!!

Katuk82 · 02/04/2012 16:09

Just been for booking in with MW - not impressed in slighest. (was stand in not my normal one). seems like they have problems with my medical records, when they gave the hospital my NHS number to book scan it came up with a different name, then when they looked on their system it came up with loads of high risk social warnings (before she quickly shut the screen). The closest to high social risk I come is i think as a child I once lied in a shop about how many penny sweets I had in a bag... pretty sure i didn't get caught Shock. They are now withholding my notes and i can't collect them till later in the week?

Also got to wait till 9th May for scan (i'll be 14+2) which seems ages away - thinking of getting something private sooner, but is it worth the cost just cos i can't wait? Also i thought the NT scan had to be before 14 weeks.

Confussed. Stressed. Annoyed. :(

FoofFighter · 02/04/2012 16:23

Yes I had read that too about the NT. I'd maybe ring the hospital?

DonnaDoon · 02/04/2012 16:25

Hi everyone katuk82 defo worth having a private scan I had one last week £50 face2face in hinckley...saw my little un and a lovely strong heartbeat...well worth every penny.Had booking in appt today and bloods etc but still feel sick and shaky all the time...thankgod for ginger nuts. Oh and Im way ahead of what I thought EDD NOV 1ST. Until 12 wk scan then could change again...dont want to go on oct thread can I stay here?

Katuk82 · 02/04/2012 16:25

Thanks Foof, will try that once they let me have my notes back!

FoofFighter · 02/04/2012 16:27

NervousAt20 · 02/04/2012 16:29

donnadoon I have been looking on the face to face website at their reassurance scans, how were they? Would you recommend? Also did you get a quick appointment or have to wait?

Sorry for all the Q :)

DonnaDoon · 02/04/2012 16:30

I know lol hope all good for you on friday foof :)

DonnaDoon · 02/04/2012 16:38

Hi nervous I booked my appt one wk in advance and they had my preferred date and time no prob... Its run by two proper ex community midwives who are now qualified sonographers etc etc years of experience...the scan itself didnt take more than 5 mins as they are not looking for abnormalities at this stage but for me I just wanted to see my bean and heartbeat clear as day pics included...defo recommend.

NervousAt20 · 02/04/2012 16:47

Thank you :)
