Hi everyone

I love it when there are lots of messages to catch up on! I think I'm going to look into this yoga during pregnancy (I'm interested in anything thats supposed to help labour!!!!)
Glad you found us Twisty and hello to lilianna (I love your name and am gonna mention it to Dp!)
I have those pains too AP, its worse if I have been sat down I hop around for a bit when I stand up. I have an appointment with the consultant after my scan today so am going to ask about it. I can cope with the pain and hopping about now but will get difficult the bigger I am if it hangs around.
Good luck with your scan too Twisty I will check in tonight and let you all know how I got on.

Hope you all have a lovely day

jersey · 09/02/2006 08:48

Morning, welcome twisty to the group and nice to hear from you Lilianna hope everything is going better for you now.

Wow a Boy dangirl, congrats. Just watch out for the directed wee can catch you unawares!!!!!

Glad everything is ok kayzed and hope you are feeling a lot better now.

Don't know about spd lilianna, I have sciatica which I am seeing an osteo for as my doctor wouldn't refer me for physio.

Goodluck with the scan twisty.

HumphreysCorner · 09/02/2006 08:55

Morning ladies

Welcome back lilianna-glad all is well with baby. ((xx))

dangirl-a boy, excellent news. DH will be coming round to do a swop-lol! ((xx))

twisty-don't forget to update us with your scan news. ((xx))

DD is alot better today but still keeping her out of nursery so that she gets completely better. I'm still full of cold though. Going to light a fire to keep me and DD warm. Am going to E-Mail DH a shopping list so he can go to Tescos for me-could get used to this.

Straightforward-you have to put the chinese hats before and after each word to make italics work hun-v. time consuming when there is alot to say. ((xx))

Love to all

Byee for now

Morning all
usandbump ..I started another thread on the groin pain here if you're interested.

OP posts:
IamBlossom · 09/02/2006 09:53

Hi Twisty, nice to not quite meet you! DH and I have decided that we are going to find out the sex this time (can't not, too irresistible) but not tell a soul. That way we get the best of both worlds, knowing ourselves and being able to plan, but still getting the option of announcing to the world when it is born. Just got to enforce it on DH now, he is TERRIBLE with secrets.

Jersey, that directive wee is a mare, my DS is FASCINATED with my DH having a wee, they have an appt with the loo every morning, all very strange, boy bonding I suppose...

I am feeling much better these days, no sickness any more much less tired in the evenings, unless I have swum at lunchtime or been to the gym and then I am flaked by 8.30. Slept all through Brat camp on the sofa last night, tres annoying.

Sorry to hear your probs Lilianna, I love your name too, but my sister is going for Lillie so not much of a choice or me if we both have girls.

take care everyone.

Blossom xxx

jersey · 09/02/2006 10:31

Hi Blossom.

My DS is the same with DH, and if I say I am going to the toilet he has to take me to the bathroom and lift the toilet seat for me , then points into the toilet as though to say well there you are.

He is also starting to notice that mummy is different and doesn't seem to have a winky!!!!!

This will be interesting to explain if we have a girl as too why she doesn't have a winky as well.

Don't know kayzed as not had to talk about it yet but at some point this will come up with us as well. Will be interested to know so we are prepared .

HumphreysCorner · 09/02/2006 13:36

I refer to them as bits so I suppose if I ever have a boy in the future bits would apply to him too.

My friend calls her DD1 & 2's bits 'noo-noo'.

agalch · 09/02/2006 14:28

Hiya ladies, had my bloods done this morning so up to a 2 week wait for results.I hate this bit but it has to be done i suppose. Spoke to mw about a homebirth and because i had a 2nd degree tear and not as previously thought a 3rd degree tear they would be happy deliver me at home if thats what i choose. Need to do research on how it all works and look into birth pools etc.At least i have the choice whether i decide its home or hospital. As to what to call their bits,we say winkie for boys and flower for girls.A couple friends call thiers back bottom and front bottom. Not keen on that idea but its what you are used to i suppose.Anyway hope you are all well.

Wallace · 09/02/2006 14:57

I know what you mean about the wait for the results, it's awful. I was told a week and they should be back. Good for you going for a homebirth. I'm tempted too, but not really thinking about it much yet.

kayzed - I dreamt you were having twins How weird is it when you dream about people on mumsnet!

We call them "girlie bits"...never came up with anything better!

Hello everyone,
I'm due on 25.7 with my 3rd baby and will be 25 on sunday. I have 2 beautiful girls, Zoe will be 4 on 18.6 and Sophie will be 3 on 24.8.
I had sacroilliac joint dysfunction with Sophie and was on crutches. After the birth they found out that a disc in my lower spine was damaged and I have had a tough couple of years. In some pain at the moment but really excited to be having another baby. Just wanted to say hello to you all.

maewest · 09/02/2006 16:48

Welcome pinkdolly, we're getting to be a pretty extensive club now.

Afraid I've been mostly feeling sorry for myself today - nothing serious just got a stinking cold. I'm normally pretty healthy, but this is my second cold since Christmas, grrrr. I also think that I found my first grey hair! I wasn't sure so retained the evidence for DH, he's just come home and confirmed it (he's had a few freaky grey hairs since he was small). Oh well, hopefully the grey will just mingle with the blonde for a while. Shows how nervewracking this parenting thing can be - and i haven't even had the baby yet

HumphreysCorner · 09/02/2006 16:49

Hiya Pinkdolly and congrats!! I have boys of 14 and 10 a dd of 18 months and due my 4th on 23rd July.It can be hard just being pg without being on crutches/in pain.Anyway take care and get some rest if you can.

usandbump · 09/02/2006 17:01

hello all
Had my scan today and everything is fine! All measurements are correct and due date still 3rd July. It's a boy!!! At the moment we have chosen the name Zack, although this may change!! Also had a consultant appointment due to family history and all blood tests and blood pressure checks are fine so now going to be monitored by midwives and referred back if there are any concerns. It turns out I am Rhesus negative too so have to have injections at 28 and 34 weeks and then another after the birth.
AP read the other thread about groin pain and I don't think its the same pain I was so happy with the scan I forgot to ask the consultant about it!
Welcome to pinkdolly

Welcome pinkdolly, and congratulations on your boy usandbump

pinkdolly · 09/02/2006 19:02

congrats on finding out ur having a boy usandbump. just wanted to say that i'm convinced i'm having a boy, have been from day one. we have also picked zak, been calling him that for weeks so better be a boy or my girls will be confused.

Wallace · 09/02/2006 19:37

I also dreamt that we were having a boy. I would like a boy, but in some ways it would make more sense to have a girl. The baby will be closer in age to dd, so would make sense for sharing bedroom, playing, etc.

kbaby · 09/02/2006 20:42

Hello to all the newbies, glad you found us.

I had my screening tests back yesterday and theyve given me a 1 in 170 risk so quite low.
I dont get why as im only 29 and a little slip of a girl so bang goes your theory HC.

Im booked in for an amnio tomorrow and absolutely dreading it. Thyeve recommended time off work and not to pick up DD etc. Plus the risk of miscarriage for upto 3 weeks.

They told me on the phone in work yesterday and I burst in to tears. I work on a team full of men and not one of them asked what was wrong, which I was glad of at the time but typical men.
This morning I had a 'al right' out of them which I guess is the closest theyll get to asking.
