Don't know about blooming, but I had a haircut on Friday, which I haven't done for months. Came out looking all swishy and shiny, the way you do, but since washing last night it has gone curly and Crystal Tips again And, finally, the spots seem to have cleared up (honestly, I felt like a pimply teenager). Now just have to do something about my consumption of huge amounts of bakery products. Last week at work I ate 4 hot x buns in one sitting, last night 6 (!) crumpets dripping with butter and honey.

Anyroad, enough of me wittering, hope everyone else is feeling fine.

kbaby · 06/02/2006 20:50

HC congrats on having a girl and even more congrats on the test results so far.

My bump seems to have shrunk today. Plus I had my screening tests today and the mw listened to the heartbeat which was really low down. Im sure ive been getting movemenets higher then where she said the baby was. Maybe it was wind. Although I rested my book on my bump last week and baby didnt like it and seemed to move, at least I saw it move maybe I just have a very bad wind problem.

HumphreysCorner · 06/02/2006 20:52

Evening ladies

Have told everyone at work today so feel relieved as I was dreading telling them. They didn't really make much of it.

Wallace-I bought some jeans from Blooming Marvellous and they are marvellous with loads of room but are not under the bump as I'm a 'got to cover it up' kind of girl.
Lovely scan by the way. Can't wait until mine on the 16th Feb so I can have some more piccies. ((xx))

spub-sounds uncomfortable. I keep waking up on my side and thinking I've squashed her as she jumps out of the way-really weird feeling. ((xx))

DH still trying to come to terms with the fact that we are having another girl. Feel quite sorry for him really as I suppose I would feel similar if we had 2 boys. Kicking is worse than when I was having DD1 so dread to think what monster will pop out.

Full of cold so struggling to sleep-not helped by the fact that DD is poorly and getting us up in the night. Good practice I suppose for July!

Going to watch Northern Lights then bed so wishing you sweet dreams ladies.

19+2 nearly 1/2 way!

Byee

Morning everyone, hope you are all well.I have my AFP on Thursday so panicking a bit.I am also planning to ask my mw about having a homebirth. At my first appointment she asked me if i fancied having one which i did,but after telling her i'd had a 3rd degree tear with my 3rd birth she said it was pretty unlikley to be allowed. However i spoke to my consultant at my booking in visit who told me that i actually only had a 2nd degree so hoping that it may be possible to consider a homebirth after all. Fingers crossed for me girls??

IamBlossom · 07/02/2006 10:13

Morning girls, ooooh nice new thread since I was last on, loads to catch up on.

It's my birthday today, 31, I can't believe it, seems ancient. Working, boo hoo, but have a pedicure booked for lunchtime, so really looking forward to that. I only have have them when preggers, weird eh? So relaxing.

Was at home with DS yesterday who had conjunctivitus, we had a good day, but I have to admit I am getting a little concerned about how I am going to cope with two little ones on my own at home all day when I am used to having my days to myself. I know, bit late to be worried, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous about it all....I suppose you just get used to it dont you and everyone else seems to manage...

Right, back to work, take care everyone,

xxxx

dangirl · 07/02/2006 11:25

Happy birthday Iamblossom!!

Got results from my tripple test over the w/e. Am in low risk group - relief! They didn't mention the exact numbers though which I am sure I had last time.

18+3 today. Plenty of movement so lovely. DH was lucky enough to catch one kick on Sat eve which is so nice!
Feel so confident that I have just been to Jojomamanbebe to buy a pair of cropped jeans and 2 tops! Ahh - to breth again

Another appointment at the premature clinic tomorrow for another cervical scan. I am no where near as nervous as I was last week though.

Have a nice day all!

AggiePanther · 07/02/2006 12:14

Happy Birthday Blossom!!
Congrats on your test dangirl and good luck with your scan.
Good luck with the mw agalch.

Hi everyone just got to work after hyper clinic. Took more blood, sure I haven't much left the amount they keep taking , tested sample which is being sent for analysis as glucose was 3 plus's or something, and put me on a 24 hr blood pressure monitor which is raising some interest at work.

Got to go back in 16 weeks for more checks and additional scan as my DS was small so they want to keep an eye on the baby this time.

Got downs results back 1 in 4108 so very low. Good news.

jersey · 07/02/2006 13:05

Happy Birthday Blossom your making me feel old !!!

Wallace · 07/02/2006 13:39

Happy Birthday

And well done dangirl and jersey for your afp results - I get my blood taken tomorrow.

agalch · 07/02/2006 14:52

Happy Birthday Blossom. Oh to be 31 again!! I wish. Good luck for tomorrow Wallace,i have my bloods on Thursday so not looking forward to that at all.Glad to hear alls well with you dangirl and hope the rest of you July ladies are all fine too.

spub · 07/02/2006 14:58

Busy Busy!!
Algach - we've swapped tales of 3rd degree tears before! If you really want ahome birth then best of luck! How near the hospital are you if back up is required?
Iam Blossom. Happy Birthday. 31! You are mere pup!
DG - great results re triple test. Hope cervical scan goes well. I can't yet feel movement externally so am vv jealous.
Jersey - good news re Down's result. Hope the BP is ok and the monitor not too restricting.
Wallace - good luck with the AFP results tomorrow.

Hi to everyone else. Hope all well

agalch · 07/02/2006 15:47

Hi Spub

I saw my consultant last week and according to him i only had a 2nd degree tear and he didn't seem all that concerned about it and said there was no issues or problems with a "normal delivery".Will deffo go to hospital if mw advises it.No faith in docs i'm afraid so will speak to mw on Thursday about it.

HumphreysCorner · 07/02/2006 18:11

Excellent reassuring news dangirl and jersey . Must be me just being an old git and overweight that caused my high risk results . ((xx))

No wonder work made nothing of my PG announcement as they already knew through one of the people I told that had told someone else who had told someone else etc. grrrrhhhhh!!!!!

Still feeling a bit nauseous and was sick yesterday without warning. Drunk some tea then walked across the kitchen and up it came-yuk!

Hope everyone else is OK and wishing all those luck with the triple tests over the coming weeks.

Hugs
