Sorry for not being around for awhile, I've not been too well. I've got sciatica down my right hand side. Can I get a hip replacement at 33!?! It's been really uncomfortable and I'm shattered from lack of sleep and having to 'keep moving'.

Last week we had our 20 week scan but 'Blob' decided to be stubborn and stayed lying on their front, so had to go back today to finish it off. All is well but we don't know whether 'Blob' is a boy or girl.

That's great that some of you know if you are having boys or girls. I hope that you are all keeping well.

I've managed to find some really great clothes from Mothercare and Next, that will expand with me!!! I just hope my bust doesn't get any bigger, not that my husband would mind.

I'd best go and do another lap around the house as I've been sat down for a bit now. Chat with you all soon and take care of yourselves.

puddytat99 · 24/02/2006 13:54

HC - good news about your test :0

As for cats, we have 3 and they have been mothering me. I'm sure I'm going to trip over one of them, as they follow me around the house!!!!

bumpybel · 24/02/2006 14:26

Hello girlies!

Booked a day off today, as was supposed to go and see Little Britain concert last night. The concert was cancelled at the last minute, due to illness, so we went out for food instead. Bit of a disappointment as they have postponed it to the 6th Dec, by which tme i'll have my baby!!! Wahoo.

Kayzed...pleased about your girl news.. you can get loads of nice girlie things now!
HC... glad your results all ok too. Four weeks sounds like a long old time for you to have waited.

Straightforward, let us know what your meet up was like... I'd be way too chicken to do that!... apart from with you lot of course!

Hope Aggie P and pink dolly's pain eases up a bit... Kbaby, if you've still got cramps, i'm sure doc surgery would do a quick wee test for you. When I had tummy bug, they did wee test that day, just to make sure, and it didnt take long. Might put your mind at rest too.

My latest horror story is this....
Woke up yeaterday morning to find right nipple area of pyjama top covered in wet stuff. I couldnt see what colour it was as my top is grey, and it didnt smell offensive. It was just from the one boob! The horror of it! It seems too early for that. Please tell me someone else has had a leaky boob! I'm dreading if it happens when I am at work now. When it dried it went really hard too! DH looked on in shock and muttered something about getting a milking stool.

Deblaca, on the cat front, I dont have a cat! I tolerate cats, but am not a big fan! When they poo in my garden, I could quite happily boot it into oblivion! I am however a huge dog fan and desperately want a red setter, although we are going to wait and see what life is like with a baby first! No offence to all you cat lovers, I'm sure yours are lovely!

Have a fab weekend all xxx

HC congrats on your good news.

Kayzed congrats on the girl lots of girly shopping coming up me thinks!!!

Hi puddytat I have sciatica in my right side as well going through short pain and lots of pins and needles or aching stopping me sleeping! I've been seeing the Osteopath which goes in waves of working really well or giving me more pain. What treatment have you being having for it?

Wallace · 24/02/2006 16:40

Hello everybody. We have a dog - a black lab that was our first "baby"! I like cats too, but dh is allergic to them.

Shall we have a new thread as this one takes ages to load on my computer

deblaca · 24/02/2006 19:21

i do have empathy for you bumpybell but lol at your dhs suggestion of a milking stool ....

sure wallace start a new thread (i'm not sure how to)

entropy · 24/02/2006 21:26

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Jersey - I have also recently started to have dizzy/fainting spells (which is great fun as part of my work is in a factory and fainting there could get very messy!) I have noticed that being hot and/or stressed are the main causes of my spells. I seem to be getting them under control now (fingers crossed) As far as I could find out from the web its yet another normal horrible side effect of pregnancy that no-one thinks to mention until you get yourself into this situation! At this point I cannot understand how anyone would have more than one!

agalch · 24/02/2006 22:53

Hi to all the new ladies, too numerous to mention! Hope everyone is feeling fine.

Entropy i am also wondering how anyone can have more than one and i'm on my 4th lol .

Bumpy i had very very leaky boobs thru my 2nd and 3rd pgs.I had to resort to wearing breast pads as i leaked a couple of times at work.not an attractive sight .

Have a great weekend all

jom · 25/02/2006 11:29

Hi everyone, haven't been online for a couple of days and there's lots to catch up on!

Lots of cat chat. We have two. (Sorry but another cat story coming up. Cat haters can skip this bit!) When I was pregnant with DS, very early on around 6 - 8 weeks, one of the cats (the female) took to climbing into bed with us just before we woke up and licking my stomach. Very sweet but not very nice as very scratchy tongue. Only did it a couple of times and not during this preg. Maybe put off as life has never been the same for her since DS arrived on the scene!

Hope you're all feeling well and congrats to everyone getting good news from scans at the moment. Its nice to know what sex you're all having. I'm getting tempted to find out on Tues when I have mine.

madness · 25/02/2006 12:39

Usually just about manage to read all the new message.
Well, I also still get dizzy spells, also rather embarrassing as do a lot of standing work, which I then have to leave in front of all male colleaegues (who don't know I'm pregnant...).
Anyway, have my scan tomorrow!

entropy · 25/02/2006 14:18

Again sorry to all the non-cat lovers, but.... I am having problems with our cat, DC1, (we have 2 and up until now they were our only babies) for the last few years she has been used to sleeping on my boobs or tummy for an hour or so each evening before she gets kicked outside the bedroom for the night. Obviously boobs and tummy are now far too sore to be a cat cushion and she isn't taking it well at all... Each night after she is offered either my legs or the bit of bed to the side of me she has taken to launching herself at my tummy at speed in a very successful attempt to punish me for not giving in to her! she hasn't hurt me yet... but, I am getting a little worried about how she will cope with baby which will no doubt annoy her further! she is an old cat and my husband has had her for about 15 years and could never part with her! (if it came down to a choice between me and her she would win!) Was wondering how/if the people out there with cats and babies have managed to integrate them successfully?

HC Congrats on your results, Mine were due Friday but the hospital hasnt had them in yet.

Entropy- One of our cats was the same and loved sitting on my chest or belly and they used to sleep on the bed at night. They got used to the last baby really quickly and didnt like the crying so used to stay out of the way most of the time. It helped that it was summer so they didnt mind being out. Its prob only since DD was 18 months or so and its been winter that they finally got used to her and now back to laying on laps etc, even DD's sometimes!!!

The tummy ache finally stopped yesterday. It felt as if I was so bloated I would burst. I actually measured my tummy again and it had increased by 1.5 inches. DH thinks I must be having twins because there is no way I was this big with DD(ive gained 6 pounds which is not bad).I know a few of you said that some people at your works dont know your pregnant, well theres no way I could get away with that one. I look and feel 6 months, I cant even bend down to put socks on. Someone else please tell me they feel huge.

kbaby · 26/02/2006 10:27

Ive started a new thread for us.

MummyToToby · 14/04/2006 12:00
