Hi,
The amnio went well and we had some lovely pictures of the baby. I cant beleive how much it had grown since that last scan. DH wont let me find out the sex though.

My mum has DD tonight and tomorrow so im just chilling out all weekend and then I have Monday and Tuesday off work.

DH thinks its funny as the mw told me no pushing, pulling, lifting or straining. As im constipated im panicking now about needing a poo because surely that involves a few of the above. TMI I know.

HC DD is being a terror at the moment also. Shes 20 months and is having tantrums and hits out if you say no or stop her doing something. Last night I came in the living room to find her pouring her milkshake on the floor, when I told her off she picked up the phone and threw it.
Why does it seem no matter how much you tell them off they dont listen.

HumphreysCorner · 10/02/2006 19:42

When do you get the results kbaby? Glad you are taking it easy.

(((xxx)))

Wallace · 10/02/2006 19:49

Glad it went well kbaby...had to LOL about the needing to go to the loo!

maewest - it is lovelt to hear the heartbeat isn't it...I didn't really believe it til then either

agalch - I think it is great that your 18month old will have somebody to grow up with like your older two did I look at ds and dd playing and feel a bit sad that this baby (our last!)will never have a sibling close in age.

I have had rude comments too. QUite a few "was it planned?" especially from close friends who probably knew it wasn't! I've also had "Are you pleased?" from passing aquaintances. What is it about being preg that people think they can comment. I have also had someone start talking about late abortions (not hinting anything though) and stillbirths not long after I told them. And somebody else straightaway started talking about so-and-so who just lost her baby at 16 weeks which is what I am No idea why people can't just think a bit more!

bumpybel · 10/02/2006 23:35

Evening girlies.
DH is working evenings so i can log on without feeling guilty at neglecting him!! Have just spent hour and a half trawling maternity clothes sites. I've put on far more weight than anyone else, which is a bit worrying. Think maybe i am eating too much... have definitely stopped the permanent diet that i was on pre pregnancy. If i've put on a stone at halfway, god knows what i'll be like full term!!! Oh well. The baby looked quite big on the scan too. Me and DH are tall (him 6'3, me 5'11) and we were both 9lbers at birth, so am prob in for a big old ride!

Have felt movement today.. wahoo! I know it was definitely movement and not wind or anything, because it felt like a twitching and first it was by my belly button and later a bit lower. Feel very reassured. I was playing jungle book 'king of the swingers'song on cheesy Disney CD that DH bought me when it happened, so i'm going to be playing that loads now incase its a song that bump likes!!! How sad am i?!

Algach and Wallace.. ignore those pathetic comments. Those people clearly have no communication skills and are lacking in sensitivity. You have got so much more than them.

Kbaby.. pleased it went ok for you. Hope you manage to have a poo without too much stress! Its horrid being bunged up isnt it.

Maewest...as another first timer, I have to say, you'll LOVE your scan. It's sooo lush to see everything working. I feel excited for you! Dont know if i'll be able to resist the 4D one either!

HC hope things not been too stressful for you. You sound like you could do with a facial/ indian head massage to chill out a bit... or failing that, a big deep bath, with a good book, and no interruption for a couple of hours!

Spub.. when are we twenty weeks? I've got myself into a flap because a lady came to aqua natal this am, who said she was nineteen weeks gone, but not due till 9th July.. I have convinced myself that I have been counting wrong!

Hope everyone ok and Kayzed not spewing so lmuch now!

dangirl · 11/02/2006 08:36

Morning ladies

Just to let you know that I am away on holiday in Denmark at the moment. Won't be able to get to PC for the next week probably so it will be rather quiet from here.

Have a good week all

Thanks bumbybel

I make you 20 weeks next Tuesday, going by my dates - I was 16 weeks on Thursday.

Wallace · 11/02/2006 09:40

pinkdolly · 11/02/2006 16:38

hi everyone,
just wandered is anyone else not blooming yet. I am so tired and feel drained all the time. I could sleep for the rest of my pregnancy quite easily. I was no where near this tired with my girls and Zoe was only 4 months old when we got pregnant with sophie.
The midwife thinks I might be emotionally tired due to my parents going through a divorce and my dad being quite a strain. I'm just fed up of feeling so tired. Just having a moan really.

pinkdolly - I am just starting to feel like I may be getting a bit more energy. Starting to feel like I may be actually able to do housework again

Went for a look round Mothercare today... all those lovely baby things

Wallace · 11/02/2006 18:27

And feeling definite movement now

spub · 11/02/2006 18:41

Just a quickie. Hope to catch up later.
Bumpy - I think we were either 20 weeks yesterday or it's Tuesday coming must check! I have my 20 week scan on Weds!
Hope all well. As I said, hope to catch up properly later.
Hope you are all well and having a good weekend.

IamBlossom · 11/02/2006 18:44

No movement from me yet.

Went to Ikea in Wembley today (are we mad?) as I was an Ikea virgin and felt like everyone else in the whole world had been there except for me. Got some great stuff in there for kids' bedrooms.

Then hit McDonalds on the way home, I swear I never eat at these places usually and now when I see those Golden Arches I start salivating, SUCH a pig at the moment. It was yummy however. Oh well got the rest of my life to be good eh?

xx

Wallace · 11/02/2006 21:32

Forgot to mention that I got the date through for my 20 week scan - 6th of March. It doesn't seem to far away thank goodness.

Evening all...

Pinkdolly you poor thing... It must be awful parents going through divorce at the best of times, let alone when you've got raging hormones to contend with too and two children to look after. Hope things feel better soon. Sophie is such a nice name... I'm adding that to my list of girls names I like!

Spub, I think Wallace is right... pretty sure we are twenty weeks on Tues. That would tie in with HC being twenty weeks today.

Kayzed, glad you've stopped spewing now... sounds like youve brought up enough to fill a swimming pool over the last few months , so its time you had some let up!

Wales-Scotland game tomorrow!!! Cant wait!

Night all x

HumphreysCorner · 12/02/2006 10:28

Morning ladies

kbaby-how are you today hun-hope you are taking things easy. ((xx))

Girls-no matter how much sleep I have it is never enough and I am crashing out in an afternoon. Don't remember it being this bad when having DD. I do struggle to get a good nights sleep as I keep having to go to the loo and I also keep waking up thinking I am squashing her. But if I lay on my back I get backache-ggrrrhhh!!! I know-moan, moan, moan. Makes me feel better though.

DH has been off this weekend thank goodness and he has nearly reached murder point with DD so at least it is not just me that is finding her v. hard to handle at the moment.

Had the most terrible cramps yesterday and haven't felt any movement today depsite me prodding her. Hoping all is still OK. Was alot of kicks yesterday so perhaps she is overtired.

Have a nice day everyone.

Hi ladies - have finally managed to get on here again. Had a bit of a tough couple of weeks. Dd and I both had the horrid bug keeping us housebound (no fun with bored, sick 3 year old) plus dh has ended up in hospital with pneumonia. Hopefully out tomorrow. Feel a bit like I've been through the wringer though. Very very tired and quite emotionally drained.

Also - STILL feel sick/ nauseous to some degree most of the time. I'm 17 weeks - surely it should have gone by now? do you think this means I'm going to feel ill the whole way through? Certainly NOT blooming.

Sorry if I've missed any major news, just don't have time to read through the whole new thread.

Oh, I've added my age:

Happy birthday to me, 25 today and feeling 52. lol!. Had a bad night with Zoe last night. She's just got over a bad water infection and now has a virus, kept me up for hrs last night. But on the plus side mum got me some lovely bath goodies fromn the lush shop. Just what I need for a good pampering. And she made me a fab birthday cheesecake filled with about 6 crushed flakes and some raspberry coulis. I've been in the fridge all day!
Just had a friend over who is 31 weeks pg haven't seen her in ages and she is tiny.
One of those people who only put weight on their bump which is perfect by the way, no strech marks. You can tell she is gonna spring back after the baby. And here's me gained 10 pounds already and my bum feels like it's exploding out my trousers.
On the subject of my tiredness, my bloods were all fine but I do have low blood pressure which a good friend of mine tells me is most likely causing my dizzy spells and faintness. Felt like I was gonna drop yesterday in Tesco's.
My 20 week scan is not till 13th March, feels like ages away. Well, hope you've all had a good weekend!

But it's so draining when you then get ill alongside said children. Been there and done that, so can well appreciate how you feel. Hope your'e all feeling better now!

Like a lot of you, I am still feeling very tired. I saw my GP last week about something else ('positional vertigo', which means that my sense of balance has messed up, temporarily - not related to pregnancy) and he gave me a prescription for iron tablets. My bloods (taken in December) suggest that I am unlikely to be anaemic, but I did get anaemic last time I was pregnant. Those of you feeling very tired might be advised to speak to your GP about taking an iron supplement.

Happy Birthday Pinkdolly... cheese cake with flakes sounds lovely! I've lumped on a stone so far with my eating habits, so dont worry about your ten pounds! I'm going to re register with weight watchers after the event! Aparently if you used to be a gold member, you can go back for free even if you're way over your gold weight.

HC... I've had some odd crampy type things today... and the 'ahem' runs! But have also had lots of twitchy muscle type movement. I'm hoping its just everything working away.

HITC hope you start feeling better soon.

Right off to bed... I've been on this at such a late hour lately, its no wonder i'm knackered all day! DH is nights, so i put off going to bed till late, coz i'm not fussed on getting into a cold bed and not having a cooch! Better get the hot water bottle out!

Heres to a blooming week all round! x
