WOW Arabica how big have your boobs grown? Mine feel the same I think? Nips are changing and can see more veins but my bra's still fit me - mind you I did get them measured before I got pregnant as I'd put weight on and was getting 4-boob-syndrome in my B cup bras so am now in a D cup and hope they dont get any bigger as only recently bought loads of new bras!?!

My DH treated me at the weekend with £100 for maternity clothes, H&M has some nice stuff, also got some reduced tops in the sales at DP's and Debenhams. Not big enough to wear them yet though but will great for the spring/summer.

I got a special date with DH tonight, we're meeting in bed at 7.30pm for a nice cosy night watching TV in bed (+choc)...

BunnyGirl · 14/02/2006 15:17

Hey JayJay we're due on the same day (22nd August). Hope you're feeling ok and not too poorly or tired.
I get sleepy in the afternoon too Freddy - its a real struggle to stay awake sometimes. I haven't told anyone at work yet so its hard not to give the game away when they ask why I'm so tired all the time! I'll tell them next week when my boss is back in (she wanted to be there when I do, bless her)
Does anyone have any good tips for Maternity clothes? I've had H&M recommended before BHM so I think I'll try there too! Need some decent comfy trousers for work....

trix1 · 14/02/2006 15:28

Welcome to the new ladies.

Dh has talked me out of getting a doppler he is dead against it as he was here when the midwife said that she would not recommend them as you cant always get a heartbeat and it can be more of a worry.

Ive just ordered some maternity clothes from next, H&M is ok too and Topshop, I think you can get a few pieces from all of them but none stand out as having a particulary brilliant range.

Ive ordered my summer tops - I know its a bit early but I didn't want them to be out of stock when the time comes that I will need them.

Is anyone sure that they have felt any movement yet?

BunnyGirl · 14/02/2006 15:36

No movement yet Trix - just terrible indigestion from having eaten a raw onion salad at lunch that seriously disagreed with me!
Thanks for the clothes tips, I've got the Next Directory maternity pages up on my computer now. I just need something a little more comfy for sitting at work in...! (but no more eating raw onion salads for me though)

Nbg · 14/02/2006 16:08

Hi everyone and congrats jayjaybaby

Dh came home from work at tea time last night an announced we were going shopping for my valentines pressie.
Needless to say it was maternity jeans an top

I had a look in H&M and tbh I was really disappointed. All the trousers are for giants! The prices weren't that great either I thought, £15+ for a basic top.

I got my bits from Dot Perks. They had some lovely things in. The top I got was reduced to £3!!

If anyone spots any bargains, let me know!

SIL has asked me if I will go wedding dress shopping with her Thurs and Fri so no doubt I'm going to be incredibly jealous Can't wait though!

freddysays · 14/02/2006 16:10

Mine is less of a movement but I will explain. I was lying in bed the other day and felt my tummy, right down low before my pubic area (detailed?!?!) anyway, it was rock hard in a really small area. I thought it felt really wierd and just tried to go to sleep, then about five mins later I felt there again and it was soft and squidgy again, I am sure i had felt soemthign of the baby...what do you think???

I also have vivid dreams where I can feel the baby moe and its always on my left side, I feel it liek i felt my ds1 in the later stages of pregnancy. Like an elbow moving against my tummy Its all my imagination or dream state but it feels so real I think in the morning it must have been something. Kind of spooky

Arabica · 14/02/2006 16:31

I think Next have some nice pregnancy stuff, as do Top Shop, DPs and H&M, JojoMaman Bebe and BloominMarvellous, Vertbaudet, Formes... There is an absolutely gorgeous shop called Isabella Oliver, their website (google maternity wear and it'll come up on the right hand side) has a slideshow of gorgeous stuff. I look at all those & buy mine on Ebay for £cheap.
My boobs have gone from 344DD/36D to 38DD and I think am already growing out of them. Went for a power-walk/jog in my 38DD exercise bra and it wasn't really supporting me enough.
Re movement, Freddysays, I think I'm feeling the same as you. Little tiny twinges or twitches inside and bump going hard in places. But not the unmistakeable kicks I felt with DS.

BigHotMama · 14/02/2006 16:33

Freddy, I feel a pulsing sensation but not anything like a kick yet, its my 1st so I dont know if its something else, I like to sit with my hand resting on my stomach watching t.v. DH sometimes bends over and puts his ear by my belly button but can only hear swishy water noises???
NBG I'm wearing a plain black top from DP's got it for £5.00 nice bargains in there at moment. Also bought some stripey colourful tops from there.
Bunny, from H&M I got a denim skirt, pair of jeans and some nice linen trousers I must admit thought they are all pull-ons and look so funny when I tried them on with no top, Simon Cowell eat your heart out! The main thing is they feel so comfy and will grow until the end (she says!) Most the maternity I have found is quite casual? Would be nice to get some trendier stuff to go out in! Red Herring do some nice combats and few nice dresses/skirts too. One place I havent tried yet is Next but have seen some nice things on website. Even attempted a couple of jog bottoms from George only £6 but they were too big and baggy round the belly (makes a change ha!)

Sorry post is so long I just get carried away...

Nbg · 14/02/2006 16:39

Love the stripey tops they have. I tried one one but the £3 bargain was calling me

I think like you 3 I have felt something, pulsating sensation but I'm just not sure.

Arabica am I most of your 38DD beauties
I went up to that size when I had dd then shrank loads after
I want them back!!!

Act · 14/02/2006 16:48

Hi everyone! & welcome to those who have joined in recently - I can hardly keep up!
I think I have felt the baby a couple of times, but when I stop to concentrate it goes! It felt like - well - being poked on the inside really. Also, this morning as I was lying in bed my bump went hard on the left side and was really sticking out. It went away after I went for a pee though. Wasn't sure what that was all about!
I have got a pair of maternity jeans from blooming marvellous (treated by mum) and am wearing them non-stop now. Such a relief. Can't say the same for my new bras -they suck!
Anyone got any bra recommendations? i have bought M&S non-wired 'tshirt' bras and they are not working out so far. They seemed to fit in the shop but not so good after more than 1/2 an hour (too tight around the ribcage, but the size up seemed too big in the shop)! I'm a 36 C/D or 38 B/C...

kitegirl · 14/02/2006 18:33

welcome to the new girls - i can't believe how big our group is now! Wouldn't it be cool to meet up with our babies after they are born - where does everyone live?

Been away and just caught up with the thread - Melsy I love the sound of your artwork, I am looking for something like that, do you mind if I CAT you at some point to get more info?

movement? wow, I didn't know that 2nd time round you can feel it as early as 15 wks. All I feel now is tired all the time and quite sick/nauseous if I have been overdoing it. Travelling with a toddler on my own is hell, being elbowed by pensioners in the airport while carrying bags and a toddler (no-one offering a seat or asking if they could help...) - I am ready to go to bed now! thank god for maternity jeans, so comfortable! And so unattractive

Nbg · 14/02/2006 19:05

Nice to see you back KG Have a good time?

Act - Playtex non wired Magic Feeling bra is what you want. It really is magic feeling! Sooooo comfy. If you look on Figleaves they're around £20+ but they are selling on ebay for £12ish sometimes less.

There is a retail outlet near to us which sells them for £11 so next time I'm there I'm going to get one or two. They also have some Berlei ones for £7 (bargain) but their sizes are a bit weird.

Arabica · 14/02/2006 21:16

I bought M&S maternity bras, 2 for £20, but they don't offer much support; with my super-sore whopper knockers, the only thing that feels comfy is a sports bra (am wearing a Berlei Shock Absorber) but when I can get there I will go to a posh bra shop for a proper fitting.
My boobs would be lovely if they weren't so sore and tender and heavy! Reckon when am done bfing I will need a boob uplift op. Have watched so many cosmetic surgery programmes on TV lately i reckon I could do it myself!

Arabica · 14/02/2006 21:17

I think a meet-up would be a great idea when the babies are born or even before. I'm in London but will travel.

Nbg · 14/02/2006 21:31

I was thinking about an "after" meet up.

Even thought about hosting it at my place

A nice BBQ, gorgeous food, lots of toys for those with older kids, alcohol for dads or mums that want it

Awww, it would be fab!

Would have to consult dh on having 30+ new mums and partners for tea though

I know I've said it before but cannot wait for the summer!

kitegirl · 14/02/2006 22:15

Nbg you are bonkers! LOOK AT THE LIST!! over 30 now, and there's more of us joining every week!! and 30 babies! and all the older children!

There must be a way of doing a post-natal meet-up without giving anyone a nervous breakdown... I'm in London but will travel. So which one of us is a secret lady of a massive country manor - come on, out yourself !!!

(Nbg thanks for asking, it was lovely, +22C all weekend but spent every night sleep training ds as made an executive decision not to tolerate his night wakings anymore. last night went ok though, thank heavens)

Nbg · 14/02/2006 22:24

Over 30 new mums + partners + older children + babies = EASY
Although we are certainly not of the country manor variety!

Glad to hear ds is going well with the sleeping. Am very jealous of your holiday, even more so if you have a tan

Dh is doing a night shift tonight hence me still being on here at 10:30.

Arghhhhhhh, must sleep!

lunavix · 14/02/2006 22:59

I've found something I can eat and not feel sick! I bought the kids some 'rocket' ice lollies from tescos (fake zooms) and I've eaten FIVE! I haven't eaten this much of anything for what feels like months!!!!!

I've even got scrapbooking done tonight.. and it's halfway through half term and I'm coping! It's a good day

NBG maybe we will have to have a mini meet up! I'm desperate to know the sex but dh went ballistic at the price lol rightfully so I guess so maybe I'll have to come up your way! Either way I'm definately up for one afterwards. I'm kinda london way, but will travel.

Nbg · 14/02/2006 23:04

I really hope the sickness buggers off now for you Luna.

Good news on the ice pops though
Aren't you 12 weeks now?

Have you seen the thread Zephyrcat started today about her 4D scan?
It may put you off a bit.
Different company but still...

I think the majority of you are London way or more south of the country.

lunavix · 14/02/2006 23:05

nbg - 14 weeks saturday coming.

We will prob be moving sept... dh has job interviews in crewe and newcastle...

I'll go have a look at that thread...

what did you think of the pram?

Nbg · 14/02/2006 23:09

Well if your 14 weeks on Saturday I reckon the sickness should just p* off immeadiatly
I really hope it does, you sooo have my symphathies.

Refresh my memory with the pram, it's late and I lost my brain years ago.

olivo · 15/02/2006 12:37

luna - I discovered fruit pastilles ice lollies at about 6 weeks - only 13 now, and still sick too but these do the job!

claire7676 · 15/02/2006 13:46

Hot x buns seem to be doing the trick at the mo!

BigHotMama · 15/02/2006 13:53

Afternoon ladies, hope your all feeling well today, glad to hear you've found a bit of a cure for your sickness Olivo and Lunavix.

I'm up for the meet up but live further up north than most of you, from the west midlands, but will travel, how exciting!

NBG I cant seem to find the thread about the 4d scan? HELP!

Nbg · 15/02/2006 13:59
