Thanks for all your advice.
I decided to tell her via phone earlier so that she had time to get used to it by this evening. She said congratulations and was happy but went quiet, she came for dinner and didnt mention it but has taken ds 2 to stay at hers.
I do feel bad for her. She had been trying to conceive 18 months then had an ectopic over Christmas. Then our other sister had her baby in jan so it's been a constant reminder for her!

Oh well it's all done now. Feel better that I've told her.

I have my booking in Appointment on 6 march and received all the paper work today. Can't actually believe it lol still think if I pinch myself I will wake up!

Awwww I'm glad it went well bubble I'm sure with time she will find it easier.
I know I did after my ectopic.

I rang the docs this afternoon and they offered me an appointment for today I panicked and said no thank you so I am now going on Monday morning.

It's all feeling rather real!!!

I think I'm in denial! Just took another test to prove to myself I am pregnant! BFP in about 20 seconds!
Aside from the symptoms I'm not really going to believe this until I see 'sprout' on the screen.

What are all of you calling yours at the moment?

Hello again, nice to see a few more people on the thread. I can't believe it's already a week since I got my BFP! I remain relatively symptom free which I'm happy about as I suffered from HG in the past.

DP working away at the moment so am hoping the tiredness isn't to severe for a couple of weeks.

I haven't contacted the dr or MW yet, will probably do it around the 7 week mark to ensure I get a scan date around 12 weeks.

Hello everyone! Littleplasticpeople I'm glad you're still relatively symptom-free. I'm EDD 8th as well and aside from an occasional bit of low level nausea (very low level), dizziness and the odd light ache in the uterus, no real symptoms to speak of. I remember being surprised last time by how quickly I felt shitty so it's been giving me the paranoids. Like KPT I was seriously considering another test!

Hi everyone! Can I join in? Got BFP on wednesday and have a calculated due date of 10th October. Feeling slightly dizzy, mild stomach cramps (which have now stopped) and sore boobs. This will be my second child.....Feeling extremely excited and a bit scared!! :0

Had a BFP on Wednesday - a massive shock but we've come round to the idea now! This is dc4 for me. dd is 19 months and wasn't sure about having another (well, certainly at least having 4 year gap) but nature has taken it's course...

Very pleased to be joining you. Hope you are all feeling ok. The tiredness has set it big time and I'm getting waves of nausea throughout the day. I think my due date is about 4/10 but can't really be sure until the scan as my periods were all over the place.

When are you all planning to share the good news with your friends?

LPP and Finally make the most of the no symptoms. I am struggling to stay awake past 9pm...I'm usually such a night owl! I'm really struggling with the tiredness. The nausea is picking up too.....though I have just managed to keep it at bay with a wee bacon sandwich

I am hoping to put off telling anyone until around 12 weeks. Might have to tell in laws before as we will have to take a trip off island to have the 12 week scan and will need them to watch the kids.

Hubby has gone into practical mode and can mostly be found on ebay and Autotrader looking for 7 seaters

Gizzyboo mines just told me were getting a c4 grand Picasso.......

I'm the one doing all the window shopping in this house-have already picked out the Moses basket I want!!!

Hi all :) Got my BFP 26.1.12 - this is DC2 - DD is nearly 12 months, so they'll be a 20 month gap. EDD is 6th Oct, which should be pretty accurate as I was using OPKs! I'm feeling nauseous and tired way earlier than with DD, which is good as I also have some pink spotting, but trying not to panic about that! Fingers crossed that it's "just one of those things" and all is well.

Told DH's family last night, all very excited. Turns out there is a crib, Moses basket, pram, oodles of unworn baby clothes and a stack of reusable nappies to be had, which is exceedingly helpful.

We already have a giant car, named Shamu after the whale in Free Willy on account of the fact it's big, black and shiny, so no new cars here.

KPT, DH is known as Big G, brother is Super G and father is Papa G, so bump has naturally become Little G

Why oh why do I keep waking up so early.......and I have to get up straight away for tea as if I don't I feel very sick!

I've been up since 6 cuppa and rich tea biscuits. Frustrating as by 4 I will be struggling to stay awake!

Really want another lazy day but need to get the last bits for tomorrow, that will be fun with the foot of snow that's outside now!

I've been up for ages too! Feeling really queasy this morning-can't drink tea though-it makes me feel worse!

Ewww just been acquainting myself with the toilet bowl for the first time... I suppose it's a good sign really that things are going as they should... Not very nice though!

Hubby has been nice to me too today.....rescues me from my sick face by sitting me down to tea and toast (with the crusts cut off) I always feel much better with something in my stomach.

I am now just finishing up the roast dinner. Should be ready in a hour. Then I plan a lazy afternoon on the sofa with some hot rugby dudes and maybe a wee snooze

Hello again everyone! I'm sort of feeling jealous but relieved that I don't have morning sickness yet like some of you do! I'm sure if this were DC2 or more I wouldn't even be having such daft thoughts :) My main symptom so far are incredibly sore boobs.

How is everyone today?

I have been really tired and slightly nauseous. Still managed a lovely steak for my early birthday lunch yesterday! My mum kept talking about the baby and clamping her mouth shut when a waitress came over as its still a secret!

We are calling our baby, Snowflake, at the moment. Sounds pretty cheesy but it was snowing when we found out the news and we figured the baby might well be the size of a snowflake just now!

Spent the weekend alternately giggling at the pics in ?what to expect?, massive pregnancy book, and being utterly terrified at the baby being born pictures! Think I?ll leave those chapters for now!!
