Is it time for bed yet?

Bubblebell1 · 02/02/2012 19:21

Haha heymickey im already in bed Blush. My boys are not impressed. Daddy can tuck them in tonight Grin

WeeSooty · 02/02/2012 22:06

I am a weirdo? Today a bought a test, just so I can pee on it tomorrow.. just to check.. [is there a crazy face] I cannot afford to keep peeing on sticks!!!

Wow Gizzyboo How you are managing to look after 3 children and deal with the tiredness! Aww its going to be so exciting when you tell them, bet they will be over the moon! I was 3 when my brother was born, so don?t really remember, I think it must be lovely for them to be old enough to remember everything about the new baby!

Pezzina That must be hard being so excited bout your pregnancy just after your sister in laws miscarriage, good luck with keeping the secret!

KP Yes to the hideous wind. I didn?t even know I could produce burps to rival my husbands! Blush

I have had less symptoms today, so obviously much pant checking, and I was out tonight and told my best friend about it so now I?m in a bit of a hyper excited mood, maybe its those ?la la? pregnancy hormones! Wonder when the wave of sleepiness will hit!

Thanks!

WeeSooty · 03/02/2012 08:50

Morning All, how are we all feeling today? I was in bed last night for half seven, and still feel dog tiredGrin.
My boobs aren't aching as much (cue much pant checking and paranioa) I really want to do another test to proove to myself its still there! But i'm guessing the tirednes slight dizziness the morning and general peaky feeling are good signs. Oh well I must burry myself in work until I can get to the shops for another test...

babybrain3 · 03/02/2012 09:18

weesooty I've downloaded the what to expect when youre expecting app-it tells you how many weeks + days you are as well as giving you weekly and daily updates on how your baby is developing etc...

GizzyBoo · 03/02/2012 09:47

Morning :o

No work today...YAY! still sat in my jammies drinking tea!

KP I think I might test again today just to be sure....but the fack my boobs feel like they are falling off is a sure enough sign I think!

WeeSooty I love lists too.....:o
The other kids are really not that much effort any more. They all do chores and pretty much take care of their basic needs themselves. They are pretty ace to have around really....we do get occasional teenage strops but mostly they are good company! I so can't wait to tell them!

I am still a bit reluctant to ring the docs. Is it still too early do you think??
I am a bit confused as to what happens next. Due to our location and the fact there is no real hospital on the island I know scans and stuff have to be done on the mainland. I also know most women go away to the mainland for a few weeks to have their babies too. I think I would like to go see them just to get some info! Confused

cakes82 · 03/02/2012 09:58

Hi, I got my BFP this morning, at least i'm hoping I wasn't seeing things. This is dc#1 after trying for 16months and most of the medical tests available. My dh wants me to do another test just to be certain lol I think he's in shock. Internet calculator reckons i'm 5weeks pg and would be due approx. 5th October.

I'm glad wind and tiredness is normal.

GizzyBoo · 03/02/2012 10:10

Yay!! Congratulations Cakes that's wonderful news! :o:o

I shall add you to the list ..

babybrain3 · 03/02/2012 10:26

I am very jealous of you not being at work today gizzy Envy although having said that I'm not really doing very much Confused

GizzyBoo · 03/02/2012 10:35

ha! babybrain good for you :o
What do you do bb, if you don't mind me asking??

I am still in my jammies on the sofa......This really must stop and not become a habit.

babybrain3 · 03/02/2012 11:33

I'm a housing support worker for teenage parents who are at risk of being evicted or who just aren't managing very well in their homes. Still not doing much- have just been and made myself a cuppa soup as I'm freezing and feel like I'm coming down with a cold Sad

GizzyBoo · 03/02/2012 11:40

That sounds really interesting babybrain

Awwwww I hope you feel better soon. is it cold where you are today? We still haven't managed a frost here this winter and I'm not complaining....car is telling me its 5 degrees this morning!

I have managed to dress, make another cup of tea and return to my cocoon on the sofa Blush

babybrain3 · 03/02/2012 12:01

My office is in a really old house that has crafty single pane windows, so it's always freezing in the winter and really hot in the summer Sad where do you live?

babybrain3 · 03/02/2012 12:02
  • drafty windows-I wonder what crafty windows would get up to????

I've had to undo the button on my jeans-probably due to me putting on weight rather than developing a bump though Sad

GizzyBoo · 03/02/2012 12:06

I hope you manage to warm up soon. The minute I get cold my boobs start to actually throb and feel like they are about to fall off...think they are hyper sensitive atm. I had to sit with a hot water bottle on them last night1 :o

We live in the Outer Hebrides. Moved here from the Midlands about 18 months ago. I really really love it. The kids have settled brilliantly and it is just home now.

You are probably a bit bloated. I am feeling the same. Though my IBS has been fantastic this week! I hope that is a symptom that will stick lol

Winnie81 · 03/02/2012 12:29

Im adding myself to the list now im on a computer!

Well I spoke to the mw from the local hospital this morning and she was asking me lots of questions re the reasons for the cvs test. She is now a lot clearer and I think she felt bad having to ask me about ds1 (became a star in 2007). She said that we will be booked in for a combined scan between 11-13 weeks and then a cvs also within that time. Im really hoping that they can do the tests as early as possible as we may have decisions to make if they are positive. Anyway im not thinking too much about that as I will cross that bridge when we get to it!

Off to work now so hope everyone is ok today x

babybrain your job does sound interesting.
In like gizzy in the fact that I too am lounging in the sofa.

Have my sister and her partner coming for dinner and I don't know if I should break the news to her or wait?

HeyMicky · 03/02/2012 13:53

Well, I'm at work (currently battling through post-lunch slump).

We're telling DHs family tonight (I told my parents as soon as I found out - DH didn't agree, so we took a vote, and me and my special vagina vote won). Figured we'd need support if anything did go wrong.

Pretty sure pregnant colleague who site next to me has guessed - I've been complaining about the smell of everything she eats

GizzyBoo · 03/02/2012 14:48

Winnie I shall keep my fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly for you and it doesn't feel too long of a wait.

Bubble how do you think your sister would feel if you don't share the news when she finds out at a later date?? Will she be sad you hadn't felt able to confide in her before? Are things just too raw for her right now?
It is a really hard decision and only you know her best so I would go with your gut instinct Smile

Micky I so wish I could tell someone....unfortunately my mum has a god like a foghorn and would not be able to keep it to herself for more than 30 seconds so that's out. lol
I'm not sure I trust my friends to not accidentally blurt something out on FB or some such. So its just me and hubby for now.

HeyMicky · 03/02/2012 15:10

Ah, my mum lives in Australia, so there's much less risk. We're not telling friends either, waiting till my birthday in March

Bubble I'd sound your sister out tonight - you'll be able to tell how she might react. Sure she'll be thrilled for you though
