Morning ladies,

I got my bfp too last week Grin. It's gradually sinking in I think, so far I've felt tired more than anything, though there's also been some boob tenderness & cramping, and over the last couple of days I've had occasional very slight nausea.

It's no.1 for me, after trying for just over a year (waves at Cakes).

Good Morning Everyone.

WeeSooty I'm not alone in wishing it was still the weekend then Wink.

I'm really chuffed I managed a whole six hours uninterupted sleep last night Grin - usually I'm a rubbish sleeper. Does anyone else have achy knees?

Hoping everyones not feeling too green x

Morning all and welcome to the newly upduffed GrinGrin

Waves to Hetty.....nice to see another on #4 lol....how old are your other DC??

No achy knees KP but i tossed and turned with achy hips last night....think its all just hormonal at this stage. Though I am a bit of a fatty anyway Blush so could just be I slept funny.

Morning Sooty I have just been uploading pics to FB. Its a beautiful morning here today. As well as the sun shining its warm too. I have been out to hang up the washing in just a t-shirt Shock
have you seen An Island Parish on BBC2 on Monday evenings??? That is where we are Smile

Doctors went fine this morning.....we have a new doc on the island. He is young, German and very friendly. He is also rather easy on the eye BlushGrin
It was all fine. He has referred me to the midwife, given me some general advice and didn't laugh when I told him I would prefer to stay on the island and have a home birth rather than go to Glasgow for delivery.

I was actually sick this morning Envy Toast has helped. I really dislike being sick lol

babybrain3 · 06/02/2012 12:14

I am very jealous of all the island dwellers! I would love to live on a small island!!! Grin

So went to the docs this morning, after being kept waiting almost an hour and nearly wetting myself cause I was too scared to go to the toilet incase they finally called me in, my edd was confirmed and she said that she could refer me for an early scan but it would most likely replace the 12 week one..... Grrr

CaptainHetty · 06/02/2012 13:09

Gizzyboo Mine are 6, 4 and my youngest turns 3 in a couple of weeks. Feeling pretty thankful now that by the time this one arrives both the boys will be in full time school and Jessie will be in nursery, so hopefully I should have a few quiet hours a day with just the baby. And be able to get a quick nap. Maybe O_o

I had my docs appointment on Thursday, just waiting for scan date to come through and the midwife to call me to arrange a booking appointment. I've not suffered from many symptoms, just exceptionally achey boobs and a desire to eat everything in sight. I am actually constantly hungry.

GizzyBoo · 06/02/2012 13:48

Ha Hetty eating is the only was I can combat the nausea right now. If I get even the slightest bit hungry the sickness hits! I feel like I am constantly grazing. That will not help the fatness at all Blush

I have 2 in secondary school and 1 in upper primary (9, 13 and almost 15!) so not only are they quite self sufficient they all have chores and can be quite handy to have around lol

I can't wait to tell them Grin

GizzyBoo · 06/02/2012 13:49

BB your surgery sounds rubbish....you were kept an hour Shock That really isn't on.

How is the sickness today?

babybrain3 · 06/02/2012 13:59

My two are a bit older too 8 and 10 they will be really excited when we tell them so can't wait either!!

The gp was really apologetic she said they had to admit someone... They are usually really good, so will give them the benefit of the doubt...

Still feeling sick today... Stopped off on the way back from the surgery to get a macdonalds milkshake, but threw it up when I got in.... Confused. Am feeling positive though ???

GizzyBoo · 06/02/2012 15:19

Yup BB that's what I'm trying to do too.....while we are puking chances are everything is fine Grin

I have kept myself busy today, washed and hung out all the bedding, got the stove ready to light for later and cleaned out the chooks.
I was going to hoover but I can't as the wee one is off school sick and is fast asleep....it would be rude to wake him eh! Grin

BirgitteNyborg · 06/02/2012 16:18

Hello!

Another newbie here. Just got my BFP on Saturday. EDD is 13th October. This will be DC2 for us. DS1 will be 23 months when the new one is born Shock Bit worried about coping with two!

Feeling ok so far, apart from being quite bloaty. Trousers already tight! Blush

CaptainHetty · 06/02/2012 16:33

Hi BirgetteNyborg and congrats!

I think my kids will be excited about it, my youngest loves babies, though not so sure she'll like them so much when she realises it means she has to share mummy's attention.

I did a shiteload of housework today yet by this time it still looks like I haven't bothered for a week. My kids are like a tornado ripping through the house the minute they get in. And, despite shovelling down half a portion of beef in black bean sauce from the Chinese last week, my eldest promptly told me the one I made was 'minging' and he'd rather eat poop. Charming.

Winnie81 · 06/02/2012 17:04

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats on your BFPs GrinGrinGrin

I'm feeling pretty good a little nausea every day but nothing to complain about! The tiredness is kicking in though! I fell asleep at 5pm yesterday after a lovely roast dinner (cooked by dh)!! We then went to bed at 9pm and I had a full nights sleep!

I feel tired again now but then I was at work at 7.30am!!

I'm seeing the mw on Friday morning for my booking appointment so I'm quite looking forward to meeting her!

Shhh I'm not here! EDD of 15th Oct Shhhh!

HeyMicky · 06/02/2012 18:33

Evening all, and welcome and congrats to the newbies!

I can't take credit for the vagina vote line, weesooty it's from Grey's Anatomy. Family all thrilled, apart from SlL, but she's had DH's parents' undivided attention for 6 years with her kids, so must be my turn now

My boss announced she's pregnant today; that's 3 of the 4 where we sit, must be something in the water.

Sorry to hear everyone is so pukey Sad

WeeSooty · 06/02/2012 19:01

Hello again!

Not like me to be on twice in one day? Have just scoffed a barrel of rocky road mini bites? Think the sugar has got to me!

Welcome to new ladies today, its getting quite busy here!

Gizzyboo I haven?t seen that programme but will watch tonight. Can?t believe your weather is so good, it has been yucky and foggy here today tho thankfully no snow! Your doctor sounds lovely Grin and good that he was helpful. Weirdly Glasgow is where I should go for antenatal things and birth but I have freaked my doctor out by requesting to go down the road to Paisley instead, its got a really good reputation despite being considered a bit of a yucky wee town!

Are there any other Scottish mums to be in this group? I love mumsnet but have thought its very English orientated a lot.

babybrain that?s a bit rotten that you can?t have an early scan and a 12 week one. I?m pretty sure here if you need an early scan you still get your 12 week one.

winnie how exciting to have your booking appointment! I cannot wait to get my appointment in!

I?ve been relatively fine today, so lots of pant checking, my boobs are agony! I am desperate for bigger boobs but didn?t realise it would hurt! Plus all my bras are of the push em up and out wonder variety and that is not helpful! Thinking I?ll need to get some nice soft ones soon!

cakes82 · 06/02/2012 20:50

Not a huge amount of symptoms here. Thought I felt sick yesterday but couldn't decide if the thought came before the feeling and it was in my head or the other way round which would make it real, either way not too bad.

Got my Drs appt on Wed. Its wierd its like few symptoms make it not quite real yet.

Haven't heard of anyone saying they are in Wales yet either.

I will be number 4 pg at my workplace, first one is due in March.

(Waves back to Pixie)

WeeSooty · 06/02/2012 21:00

Gizzyboo I think I am coming to live with you! Just watched that programme on BBC2 and was taken aback by how beautiful the islands are. Wow. Even if all the islanders seem to be related and the lobster bit freaked me right out! lol :)

Bubblebell1 · 06/02/2012 21:18

Hey all.
Just saying hi before bed calls me. Ds2 birthday party has knackered me out. Feeling so run down. Got a huge coldsore and an outbreak of spots as well as feelin sick, sore boobies and dizzy spells. But it's all good. Hopefully means bean is sticky :-)

KnickersOnOnesHead · 06/02/2012 21:31

Is anyone getting really bad heartburn yet???

Finallyfinally · 06/02/2012 22:45

Hi Knickers not heartburn as such, just a sort of unpleasant full feeling which means although I think I'm hungry I don't want to eat Confused

KnickersOnOnesHead · 06/02/2012 23:49
