Oct 2012 - the second pips
or
Oct 2012 - the pips become apples
Grin

Totally knackered today. Got to make it through a 3-4 hour meeting tomorrow while pretending that constantly eating rice crackers and drinking milk is perfectly normal. Hmm Part of me is looking forward to everyone knowing, and not having to pretend anymore, and part of me just wants to keep the secret to myself!

Parents returned from their holiday today and Mum gave me a soft toy mummy penguin with a little fluffy baby chick. It's adorable!

Guccigirl79 · 14/03/2012 10:04

Yup you are on the list on page 36 lol....thought I had.
Sometimes they get a bit confuddled when people are adding or editing
themselves.

I didn't want to take Cotton or Hetty off when I just updated Blush Maybe we could leave them on and add a wee note???

Hey Micky - tell us more!!! At 7+5 I need to hear these things! Smile

And I was scrolling this thread yesterday - killing time as I do at work Blush - and am I correct HeyMicky that you didn't have many pregnancy symptoms?

HeyMicky · 14/03/2012 13:11

It certainly is, thunder! Saw the little flicker first, then she turned the sound on. DH was a mess - I'm much tougher than him Wink

Little G was lolling about on his back, refusing to turn over so the sonographer could measure the nuchal fold, so I had to stop the scan, go get my bloods done, then dance about in the waiting room for 10 mins to get him/her to turn over. Lots of arm and leg waving, though (Little G, not me)

Loopy I had almost no symptoms, a few cramps and slightly sore boobs, nothing else. Was convinced there was something wrong. There wasn't - just count your lucky stars you're not feeling ill

Bubblebell1 · 14/03/2012 13:32

Hey girls.

Glad your scan went well hm . 2 weeks til mine and I can't wait Grin

Still having a crap time with my sister. She is causing lot of trouble. Got my grandads birthday coming up and my dads wedding and she is saying she doesn't want to come because of me Hmm I havnt done anything or said anything to her and she is still being nasty.

I am prob being over sensitive but I find it hard to deal with and hate her being rude to family members because of me.

On a lighter note have any of you done the bicarb gender test? Biscuit

PopcornMouseInBoots · 14/03/2012 13:48

Why's she being horrible, bubble ? Has she been struggling ttc or something?

MW appt this morning, which went fine - no heartbeat listening :( and just waiting for a scan appt to come through now...

CaptainHetty · 14/03/2012 13:57

Aw that's lovely hm :)

Bubble sorry your sister is still being so difficult!

We have a difficult one in my boyfriend's ex - she's also got worse, before she was talking to him when he saw his daughters, now she won't even acknowledge his existence. I wouldn't mind but they broke up 3 years ago, she left him, it's not like I snatched him and started making babies with him or something. I'm trying to be understanding with her but it doesn't matter how much we both try to reassure that we're in no way letting this baby affect how often he sees their daughters or his commitment to them, she will not speak to him. The only other issue I can think of is that she's jealous, but as they broke up a long long time ago and she instigated it, I find that hard to fathom.

What's the bicarb gender test? I'll Google it and have a go :o

Guccigirl79 · 14/03/2012 14:07

Thx Gizzy much appreciated,i forgot u had put me on forgive my blank mind!!! X

LoopyLa · 14/03/2012 14:25

Sorry to hear about your sister Bubble I'm thinking of telling my two sisters & my Mum this weekend & I'm sure they will all completely FREAK OUT as they've never known that we'd been trying for 2 years - but I know they'll all be supportive of me, I just can't think why yours wouldn't be. It's her loss really as she's going to be an Aunty and missing out on extra time to be excited! Sad

As I don't want to drive you all nuts with my self-involved, miserable moaning (or myself or DH for that matter!), I've booked a private ultrasound for this Friday when I'll be 8 weeks. They can do "viability" scans between 6-10 wks for £50 which I thought was reasonable for some peace of mind. I may have had to wait for upto a week longer if I'd gone down the midwife/NHS route and I'm not sure I would have been abe to wait that long without going doolally Blush What few symptoms I had have gone (although I've had no cramps, pain or bleeding) so I might just be having a really easy first trimester...but I need to know for sure, either way.

Bicarb gender test? Might have to try that tonight!

Bubblebell1 · 14/03/2012 14:37

captain she had a mc in December. Maybe it's because of that. But it is still very strange. I've suffered the horrors of a mc and did feel sad when others got lucky but never ever let anyone know.
Originally when I told her I was pg she said congratulations. It was 2 weeks later she said horrible things to ds1 and about ds2. Ds1 was upset so I said that perhaps if she has an issue with me she should tell me not a 10 yr old. She then went berserk. Calling me names and saying hatefull things calling ds1 a liar. I asked my mum who said that no he wasn't Lying and to just ignore it etc. I have and still a month later it's no better. She is being rude to my Parents and grandparents and it's really rather embarrassing.

PopcornMouseInBoots · 14/03/2012 14:41

Don't be embarrassed bubble - it's her that should be embarrassed. That said, I can see why it might be difficult for her (no excuse for such apalling behaviour, of course)

Bubblebell1 · 14/03/2012 14:52

Thanks pop

She keeps telling my mum and anyone who will listen that I got pregnant to take the attention away from her mc Hmm and I did it before when I had ds2 (her ds1 is 6 wks older) but It's like she has lost touch with reality. I had mc 2 months before she conceived her son.
I sit and try to rationalise her behaviour but I can't understand any woman that would say to a child. They are going to be picked on at school, no more Nike only hiteck Confused all the money will be spent on e new baby and ds' will go without Blush

It's horrible, now refusing to attend my grandads birthday. Or dads wedding! I wouldn't mind but it's not like I've even said anything in response to her bitterness I just left it.

God I'm sorry to harp on about it. Just so fed up with it. Feeling emotional. Must be the hormones Blush

Bubblebell1 · 14/03/2012 14:55

captain you apparently pee on a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda if it fizzes a boy if not then a girl.

Have we made a new thead yet? I think I've filled this 1 with my constant moaning x

CaptainHetty · 14/03/2012 16:44

I have never heard of the bicarb test, but will pee on a bit of bicarb for the purposes of research later this evening :o

Someone let me know when we have a new thread pretty pleeeeaase... I'll never find it otherwise, I had to bookmark this one so I didn't keep losing it :o

GizzyBoo · 14/03/2012 18:00

Right I made a new thread. Sorry if one was already in the offing....I didn't see it.

Our new home

Smile
GizzyBoo · 14/03/2012 18:05

Oh and before we go.....Mickey lovely news. I cant wait to see or hear my wee button.

Bubble it should be your sis who is embarrassed by her behaviour not you.

I might have to have a go at the bicarb test....I love a good old wives tale Grin
