Morning,

I haven't actually weighed myself since getting pg as the batteries ran out in the scales. I think I have lost weight due to the sickness, but have definitely changed shape- struggling to stretch my tops long enough as I think my boobs have grown a lot :-)
Sadly in my past pregnancies I have more than made up for it in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters!
9 weeks today, yay!

Hi, newbie here, wasn't sure whether I'd be joining this or the Se

sancerrre · 03/03/2012 18:54

Pesky iPhone ... As I was saying ... This or the sept thread. Edd 4 oct, dc2.

Jealous of those of you not putting on weight, I've put on 10lb already. I am scoffing carbs and chocolate with no self control whatsoever though. Well, if its what the baby's craving ...

GizzyBoo · 03/03/2012 19:36

Welcome Sancerrre

I have survived the tummy bug.....but only just. It wiped me out for days!
I have (due to bug) lost 9lbs now since I got bfp so Im hoping that gives me a bit of growing room Grin

I hope everyone is well. I shall try and have a proper catch up tomorrow Smile

RunningOutOfIdeas · 04/03/2012 07:16

Morning all. I have had truly scary night. I started feel sick and shivery yesterday evening. At 1am I woke with a really severe pain down my right side and the top of my right shoulder was also really painful. I then started being sick. So I started to think I was having an ectopic!

With DH abroad I was in a bit of a panic about needing some one to look after DD. I ended up phoning a friend at 2am. She came over and I called an ambulance. I have had morphine, anti-sickness drug and 3 litres of iv fluid. The docs now don't think it is ectopic. They think I have an infected gall bladder. So I have also now had iv antibiotics. I am sitting in hospital waiting for an ultrasound scan of my liver.

LoopyLa · 04/03/2012 08:08

RunningOut that sounds absolutely horrendous. Ive had an infected stomach & bladder before years ago and I deteriorated very quickly - and ended up on IV antibiotics etc - of course I wasn't pregnant & it was still very scary. Thinking of you & wishing you a very speedy recovery. When does your DH come back? Do you have any family near by who could help with DD? Take care x

RunningOutOfIdeas · 04/03/2012 08:15

DH is not due back until April. All my immediate family live in Australia. I do have one cousin near me. I will call her if I need help tonight or tomorrow. I know she will do everything she can to help.

I am very lucky to have my friend who I called last night. I can't think of many people i could call in the middle of the night who could get to me within 10 minutes, who does not panic about anything and my DD adores her.

I am now in my 4th litre of iv fluid. I am already busting for the loo again.

MakeTeaNotWar · 04/03/2012 08:49

Oh my word how awful. You're in the right place though to be taken good care of. Wishing you a speedy recovery x

RunningOutOfIdeas · 04/03/2012 09:30

Thank you MakeTea. The doctor has now told me I need to stay in the hospital for a few days. So I have been making calls to arrange for my cousin to take DD. I tried to talk to DD on the phone. She said hello then ran away. I know my cousin will look after her well but it still going to be hard for DD - she has never been a night without either me or DH.

CottonSock · 04/03/2012 10:37

Runningout - poor you, that must be so horrible and scary. I'm glad your cousin and friend were able to be there for you. I hope they can visit you in hospital too. I hope they are looking after you well in hospital.

Sounds like Gizzy has had it pretty rough too.

Wishing you both a speedy recovery. Big hugs Thanks

RunningOutOfIdeas · 04/03/2012 11:12

Thank you CottonSock. Gizzy, hope you are feeling better.

I am about to get my fifth litre of iv. My blood pressure is a bit low so I think they are going to keep filling me up until it stabilises. And I will have to continue with my frequent excursions to the loo.

GizzyBoo · 04/03/2012 11:40

Oh goodness Running it sounds like you have been through the mill a bit! I had gallstones for 8 months and have many sympathies for you. It is honestly the worst pain I have ever had. I would rather have given birth to triplets every night than go through that. I hope you feel better soon Thanks

I am feeling much better, thanks to everyone for their good wishes. I just ache now and have pulled some stomach muscles through the constant vomming so just feel a bit sore. I've not had a tummy bug like that for a long while!

I have a full week of supply in pre-school this week....I think it might actually kill me Blush

RunningOutOfIdeas · 04/03/2012 12:18

Woohoo!! I just had a US scan the baby is fine. I will get a more detailed set of scans done tomorrow, but I have seen baby and heart beat so I am so relieved.

Wow, Running, what an ordeal. Hope you are better soon and able to get home. Great to hear scan news!

Poor gizzy Thanks for you! I teach Y1 at the moment so I will be feeling your pain throughout the week - little ones are SO exhausting.

Hi sancerre. Nice name! I am due very end of September (by LMP dates, not had scan yet) and I think you will find this thread very cosy and comfortable! The Sept thread is mahoosive...

A quiet weekend here, tinged with the ever-present nausea. Urgh, when will it abate?!

HettyTurner · 04/03/2012 18:14

Aww running I can't believe you've had so many IV's, I hope you have a speedy recovery too, and was so relived to hear that baby was fine.

Gizzy we all had a bug like that before Christmas, and it takes quite a while to recover. I hope your week of supply isn't too much for you, it's such hard work with littlies (I teach secondary and no way could I run around after 4-5year olds!).

All fine here, just cripplingly tired and getting horrid headaches. Took some paracetemol Friday night when I couldn't take it anymore and it was bliss!

MissRedIndie · 04/03/2012 21:01

Hello everyone, sounds like there is quite a bit of drama going on! Running you poor thing being in hospital, and having DD to worry about on top of everything else! Hope they get you fixed quickly! Great news about scan though.

I'm another one who's feeling very unpregnant, though I think I was this way with DD. However in the last couple of hours I have felt like crying twice, once reading dd her bedtime story 'The lion who wanted to love' and now watching the horses on war horse on channel 4!! Both ridiculous things to feel emotional about, must be pregnancy hormones!!Grin

Bubblebell1 · 05/03/2012 05:38

Hey all.

How are you? Good weekend?

running I hope your feeling better, good news about your scan. Always nice to see a heartbeat.

I can't sleep at all. I feel so sick. I just know I'm going to be falling asleep at lunchtime. I intend to make the most of dp being off today Grin

MarieFromStMoritz · 05/03/2012 05:47

Hello everyone! Can I join you? I am 9 weeks 2 days. I have spent the last 3 weeks on bed rest after a massive Sub Chorionic Hematoma.

isheisnthe · 05/03/2012 07:01

I've been so ill over the weekend with a cold/flu bug - which as now turned to sinusitis - feels like my head is going to explode.

pinpan · 05/03/2012 07:13

Hi Sancerre and Marie, and welcome! Are you allowed out of bed yet, Marie? Thanks

Running, sympathy in buckets - so glad the scan was good news, hope you're feeling better soon and back with DD.

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow (another end-of-Sept lurker on the Oct thread Smile), and finally not feeling sick 24 hours a day so there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Midwife on Friday and scan on Tuesday next week - how do I wait that long?!

LoopyLa · 05/03/2012 07:40

Holy Moly, we do all sound like we're in a bad way at the moment Sad

I didn't get any sleep last night & wished I'd napped over the weekend but didn't despite feeling nauseous & constantly tired. Feel crap this morning & it's just the beginning of another working week

Need to call midwife this morning - I appear to be in a no-mans land where I live whereby I want to have my baby at a nearby hospital but my midwifery care will come from a hospital further away Hmm Anyone from Medway/Kent area have this problem? I'm wondering if it will make a difference at all. I've been told my ante-natal & post natal care will be from the same person, the only difference will be when I'm in labour/give birth...will I care who the midwife is when I'm in labour? Truly? Or will I just be relieved when the baby's out & labours over?!! Confused Any thoughts ladies?

Hope we all feel a little better and get to see some light at the end of the tunnel soon!

RunningOutOfIdeas · 05/03/2012 07:49

Good morning all. Hope everyone has a vomit / cold / worry free day. I am about to be pumped full of antibiotics again but I don't feel too bad. DD seemed to be having a great time with my cousin last night so at least I am not worried about her.

Last night was hilarious. There is a woman in my ward who sleep talks. At one point I think she was telling a small child off - lots of "stop that, put it back were you found it, this is your last warning". When awake she is very quiet and seems nice but my god she was cross in her sleep.

Guccigirl79 · 05/03/2012 07:55
