My IBS is being painful too Cotton....I am VERY constipated and it really hurts

Thanks for the well wishes. I had my scan and everything looks good (just one in there!) and the dates match perfectly.
Also have had a few hours relief from the HG, have been given a very expensive anti sickness drug. Unfortunately I only have a 3 day supply then back to a cheaper option (which may or may not work). Am 8+3 today, I keep telling myself that this will be the peak of the sickness this week if anything like my first pregnancy.
Have been craving salad cream since all the mention of it yesterday!

Of Gizzy, the bloatedness! The sonographer even commented how it was hard to get a good view of the baby due to masses of gas in my gut

I hope the tablets help with the sickness....if only briefly enough for you to keep something in your tummy and maybe break the cycle.
I have always found week 8-9 the worst MS wise so hopefully we will all be coming out the other side soon

Fab news LPP, and I hope your sickness passes soon. I feel miserable enough with bog-standard nausea, so I really feel for those who are suffering badly with it.

Thinking of KTP too, hope you're back soon with good news.

I'm also getting very windy bloated, especially in the evenings. I did actually unbutton my trousers the other night (was only at home watching TV ); not quite ready to dig the maternity trousers out yet though!

Thunderboltkid, I am lurking... Not posting as, well, I don't know what to say :-( my scan is tomorrow lunch time, I'm pleased it's not today as its my husbands birthday (30!) so if it is bad news I'd rather it be on a day that we won't be seeing again for 4 years!

Hello ladies

Really good to hear about little beans, heartbeats & clear scans, it gives me hope! I'm only 5+4 but man, am I impatient?!!! Now I know why I didn't get pregnant for 2 years - because I can't handle the waiting, lol!!

For those windy ladies have you tried prunes or liquorice? And are you eating lots of fruit? I eat both (dried prunes) & liquorice and while it doesn't completely help with the bloating (I'm sure I should be floating with all this air inside me!), it may help with the constipation...

Hope everyone is groovy, despite the ms, fatigue, etc!

Hi Loopyla my nurse who I work with advised be careful about too much liquorice... not for the constipation (that's what I bought it for) but because in vast amounts 'apparently' can affect child's mental abilities. Mad isn't it !
