Hello everyone, mind if i join you?! I'm new and just found this lovely group after hovering on the other one for a few days. I'm 7+3, got my BFP on thurs after several weeks thinking my (occasionally irregular) period was just late due to a stressful project at work... so definitely unplanned but happy! currently feeling ok - tired isn't everyone but no MS so far. Sorry to hear about everyone who isn't well - but hope you managed to enjoy the sunshine today!

Also, this might sound crazy but i'm worried about telling my traditional parents that i'm pg - but not married. I don't really care about it - but they do - and i think they will be disappointed in me. Anyone have any similar experiences before?

Hello all, been a while since I last posted but have been enjoying reading all your posts.
I'm 8+2 now and really suffering with MS. On my 3rd type of anti sickness med and still puking 20 times a day Sad off to doctors again tomorrow still hoping for some sort of wonder drug!
On the plus side I can still do up all my jeans due to the lack of weight gain!
I have a scan on Tuesday to rule out multiples- was exactly like this with my first dc though so prob not twins!
Sorry for moany post Blush

Bubblebell1 · 26/02/2012 19:11

Congratulations and welcome goodsense Grin

I don't really know what to advise. My grandpa is very traditional and made lots of comments but he's ok now.
Perhaps if your intention is to get married then say the baby was a nice surprise and you will get married when you get round to it or if you don't want to get married tell them that. I'm sure they will just be happy with a grandchild Grin good luck.

goodsenseofdirection · 26/02/2012 19:21

Thanks bubble - that's what i'm hoping!

HettyTurner · 26/02/2012 20:46

Cotton we're planning to go camping late July / early August. We did have a site booked in France but decided the drive and the heat might be too much, so we're going to Devon not too far from my Mum so if it is unbearably uncomfortable at night I can go to hers to sleep!! Glad there are some others who like camping, most people say we're mad for going camping at all, let alone with small children and pregnant!

Congrats Goodsense, I agree that they might be disappointed at first but they'll get used to it and once LO arrives they'll be smitten and won't care anymore.

Decided to be lazy with work from now on, I'm a teacher and normally work really hard personalising learning for my classes but I'm just too tired so going to teach what I already have planned and make do. Got to keep up with marking and feeding back as a priority. It's meant that this weekend I have only done about 1hrs work, compared to at least 3-4. It's brilliant Grin

Morning Ladies, new and old.

I've just managed to catch up with all goings on; loving the camping chat - we're going in June and will have a bucket at the ready....

I've been laying low because we're having an early scan tomorrow (to make sure we haven't MMCd again), I'm absolutely frightened to death. I want to be excited and in the same breath I daren?t let myself be. DH said he is trying not to think about it too much ? which means he?s v anxious too. I know what will be, will be, but I just want 1230 tomorrow to be now!

Hoping the MS sufferers have managed a biscuit or two this morning ? I just feel hung over minus the headache all the time.

OOH Thunder you lucky lady. We hired a classic VW camper for V fest the other year it was fabulous!!

RnB · 27/02/2012 14:01

Good luck with the scan tomorrow KTP. I've got one on wednesday because I am unsure of my dates (fell pg on the pill).I'm dreading mine too because of a previous mmc.

KPT083 · 27/02/2012 14:22

Thanks RnB lets both try for positive vibes >

Pezzina · 27/02/2012 15:00

Hello all, have just been catching up. My household has been struck down with the horrid norovirus - first my DD had it then I had caught it by Saturday and now my mum has it. I think my poor DH is coming down with it but he is putting on a brave face at the moment. Not a pleasant weekend!

On to nicer things and the talk of holidays has got me thinking. We love camping too but we are planning to hire a cottage in Cornwall this year to play it safe. I've really must get DH on the case so that we can get something booked and have it to look forward to.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow KTP.

Psammead · 27/02/2012 16:13

Good luck tomorrow!

Sympathies to all the major MS suffers, and pooly people.

No idea about holidays yet. Thinking of coming to the UK at the end of July, but no idea where exactly.

HettyTurner · 27/02/2012 16:41

Good luck for tomorrow KTP FX here for you.

I had a 'funny turn' this morning at school. I was feeling pretty good, as the MS had faded to a dull background queasyness but then my legs went all wobbly and my head was spinning. I had to go and beg for some biscuits and had a sit down in the office. Luckily I felt better 20 minutes later and could teach my lessons, but almost all my department know I'm pregnant now! Bugger.

Beeblebear · 27/02/2012 17:40

Good mirning. I'm really looking forward to going out to the lake for a week or so tjis summer.will be somewhere 20 to 30 weeks. We have a trailer parked out there but have to reach it by boat. I can.t imagine a boat ride being too comfortable. Not sure if dh will be able to go or not, we wznt to bee off together for the first few weeks which means him saving up holidays.

We would like to share the last couple months maternity leave (canada) so if all works out we will have all next summer off together and can do lots of camping

babybrain3 · 27/02/2012 18:31

Ive just eaten nearly a whole cucumber with salad cream.... Mmmmmm

Beeblebear · 27/02/2012 18:34

Ok, what is salad cream?

HeyMicky · 27/02/2012 18:42

Well I am eating Nutella from the jar with a spoon - tells you all you need to know about my day.

Good luck to everyone having scans tomorrow

Winnie81 · 27/02/2012 18:43

Mmmm salad cream I love salad cream!

It's kind of like mayonnaise but tastes more vinegary. It's lush!

GizzyBoo · 27/02/2012 18:58

Ooooooh celery and salad cream was the order of the day yesterday!
Today I have mostly needed mash and gravy Blush

DD has stopped vomiting.....I am still waiting for the rest of us to start!

Good luck with the scans to those who have them Smile

CottonSock · 27/02/2012 19:09

Beeble you in canada - I was out there for few years, Vancouver mainly. Love it.

I had a few scary stomach cramps over weekend, but seems to have passed so I think just my IBS playing up.

Booked scan this morn, 27th March.. Yeah 4 weeks to wait and as one week is holiday I am kind of hoping it will go fast. Lot's of camping and Cornwall fans out there :) We are renting a cottage in Fowey in 3 weeks time, planning to do walking and Eden project, and eat lots of pasties to make up for lack of vino! I don't think I could do France without wine either lol

good luck those with scans tommorrow.
