Aww gizzy don't feel like a failure! You have to do what's best for you right now and that means keeping yourself happy. Didn't realise you were a primary teacher. It's not an easy job at all. My mum has just taken early retirement and she got to the point she hated it before she left. It's far better to get out of the situation and look after yourself than to be stressed out and miserable. And sounds like the head was very nice and understanding.

Now go pee on that stick!!! Grin id be happy to meet up if you need to come to Glasgow Smile

My work are bound to notice something soon... I think I've been to pee about 20 times this morning! Blush so annoying!

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 11:04

Oh gizzy it's totally not worth being in tears about it in the mornings, you did the right thing. Here, have a Brew and a Biscuit

Pezzina · 08/02/2012 11:07

Morning ladies

Deelite and Nasara hope you are both ok. Sending hugs.

Hi to everyone - there has been lots of posting since Monday, which is great. I don't work on Tuesdays so didn't get to log on till this morning and its taken me this long to catch up.

Had doctors appointment yesterday and she said I could be 6wks 3 days which puts my due date at 29 September. So I guess that makes me an imposter on this thread Sad. If I'm a good girl, can I stay?

GizzyBoo · 08/02/2012 11:09

Hi Sooty

I'm not actually a teacher, but a nursery nurse and I do learning support in primary.
The school is a linked community school and over the last few weeks I have been sent in to secondary classes on a regular basis (Higher secondary maths Shock)and I had requested not to be put in secondary, especially maths as I'm a thicko I really don't feel comfortable being in classes alongside my older children and their friends and I am not confident with numbers at all.
I just felt awful last week, I got hot and clammy and thought I was going to feint. I feel so pathetic but it really isn't worth the stress.

Head was lovely and said she will deffo keep me in the loop and will let me know if something comes up full time in primary/pre-school. Until then I am back to supply.

I feel so relieved! even if I do feel a bit of a stoopid

You shall have to get one of these sooty Grin

Hi all.
Just been to Drs and visit wasn't quite what I expected. I gave her the dates of last af and also when I did my pg tests. She says i'm 6wks tomorrow. She felt my stomach to see if anywhere hurt which was all fine. She asked had I had any spotting which I did before the pg tests which I took as implantation, but because of this she has sent me for an early scan Confused
She has also sorted paperwork for me to register with midwives :)
The scan bit has confused me, I don't know if its a precaution because of having had treatment after abnormal smear or what to think.

Psammead · 08/02/2012 12:05

Morning all!

I have had such a crappy morning. I got on the wrong fecking bus with DD meaning we had to trudge all the way up a huge steep hill in the snow to get back to a busstop we could use. It was so cold, DD was screaming despite all her layers, hat, gloves, scarf etc. She was in her pushchair. I was so exhausted I could barely catch my breath. I thought I was going to faint. Now I am convinced I have hurt the baby somehow. It was all my own stupid fault. I could cry.

Ok. Deep breaths. Just had to vent.

GizzyBoo · 08/02/2012 12:21

Cakes I'm sure it's all just routine. It sounds far more exciting than my first appointment. Even if I did have a hot young German doc Grin
Enjoy your early scan....I'm sure everything will be fine x x

Psam I'm sorry you have had a crappy morning but there is no way you could have done anything to hurt that wee bean of yours. Get yourself a cuppa, a blanket and cosy you and dd up on the sofa for the afternoon with a film Smile

I need cake Blush

Pezzina · 08/02/2012 12:25

Psam I'm in agreement with Gizzy - It must have been really frustrating but you won't have hurt your little bean.

Cake sounds like a great idea Gizzy - I am starving and starting to feel nauseous because of it.

nasara sorry to hear to have been spotting too. What's yours like? Mine is scant brown and pink spotting when I wipe. It is quite mucousy. I don't have any pain and it's not getting heavier since starting on Sunday but I had a really busy weekend of running up and down stairs carrying children and travel cots and the like. I wore myself out and then starting spotting. I am hoping it's a coincidence and that I haven't done anything I will regret.

Bubblebell1 · 08/02/2012 12:53

I hope the spotting eases up.

Def make the most of the scan. Mw prob just being cautious because u mentioned spotting.

I finally got round to putting some pics on my profile I think Confused

Psammead · 08/02/2012 12:57

I'm better now. Just had to let it out. I really thought I would not be able to breath. I think I panicked a bit. Luckily the busstop was the hospital one so if I'd totally collapsed there wasn't far to go! Grin

isheisnthe · 08/02/2012 13:13

Can I join in - DC4 (!!) EDD 10th October - and I am blaimg one born every minute for this little bean! I have 3 boys, 9,7 and 18 months - have not made my booking in appointment yet - all feels a bit surreal at the mo!

Psammead · 08/02/2012 13:25

Bluebell, nice pics!

CaptainHetty · 08/02/2012 13:28

Hi everyone, hope you're all well, I've got a bit of catching up to do I think!

Nothing major to report here, just feeling rather sicky and really wish my boobs would stop hurting. My sister had a little girl on Friday evening so I've been totally cooing over her for the past few days, I ended up telling her I'm expecting again in my excitement. Going to try and keep it quiet from everyone else a while longer, though.

Nice to see more people on number 4, ishe , makes me feel slightly less mental for having another :o

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 14:31

Does anyone else have the odd stabby pain in their pubic bone? Should I worry, or is it just implantation pains? I'm 4+2 today Confused seeing the GP Friday...

GizzyBoo · 08/02/2012 14:31

Bubble you look so glam!! You are all young and glam yummy mummy's. I feel like such a frumpy old bugger BlushGrin

isheisnthe congratulations and welcome Smile It's great to see another one with #4 on the way Grin

I need a nap.....but youngest ds needs collecting from the bus in half an hour as its blowing a gale and hissing it down. I usually make him walk up the lane but that would be mean today Grin

Oh....and my car is broken....grrrrrrrrrrr
That means I am going to have to spend money on it to get it fixed before we can sell it and buy a bigger one. Bloody typical!

GizzyBoo · 08/02/2012 14:33

Try not to be too concerned Mouse
I didn't test for the first 6 days after AF was due as I felt so pre-menstrual it didn't occur to me for a min that I might be pregnant this month. I still am having the odd cramp but I assume it is just things stretching and settling down.

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 14:35

Ah, glad it's not just me then gizzy - yes, I had a proper AF's-on-its-way cramp about 12dpo before I tested, too. No spotting or anything so hopefully it's nowt :)

Bubblebell1 · 08/02/2012 14:44

I've been having some cramps too. Apparently the more bubbas u have the more aches n pains u feel.
(how do u know what u get told is true ? I'm gullible at the best of times)

Thanks gizzy don't feel glam at the mo. What with the water retention and cold sores and spots that have emerged.

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 14:53

Ohhh I have a coldsore too....

Bubblebell1 · 08/02/2012 14:57

They suck Sad I have never felt so rough when I'm pg! Really this time round it's knocked me for 6 and left me so drained.
Both times before I lost weight being pg this time it's only been a week and a bit and I can feel myself swelling up. Even my fingers seem fatter!

Psammead · 08/02/2012 15:02

The bloating is a killer.

Anyone else go from being a bit sicky and totally non-hungry to being absolutely STARVING in the space of seconds? Grin

I think I need to stock the freezer with some easy meals! I had my face practically pressed up against the oven door yesterday waitihg for my jacket potato!

Bubblebell1 · 08/02/2012 15:11

psam that's exactly how I feel. Then try to eat and I'm sick. Chronic heartburn at night and insomnia Sad hopefully this will all pass and we will bloom Grin

Psammead · 08/02/2012 15:14

Grin I'm still waiting to bloom with DD1 - and she's 2 now!
