tink - hope your first day has gone well :)

McKayz · 05/05/2012 19:50

Tink hope it's all gone well today!!

DH went to work this morning. He's just landed in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. DS2 keeps asking how many sleeps til he gets home. Poor little mite.

Ds1 looks like he has chicken pox. So that should be fun.

Hope you're all well.

Tink -glad the boring induction day is over. When is your first proper day?

McKayz · 06/05/2012 08:03

Woooooo!! December is a lovely time to have a baby!!

Rugby not long til C Day!! Are you excited? Nervous? Or a mix of both?

BBisTitanium · 06/05/2012 08:11

Hehe thanks! I'm hoping dec is correct as wedding is may haha! Although I did a test on April tenth and it was neg? I have a docs appointment due for 26th (ironically to start moving on infertility treatments!) which will be when I'm about 10-11 weeks, am wondering if I need to move this forward? Ah I'm so Grin but also scared! Think I will defo be neurotic as I've had LOTS of pâté, cemembert and wine!! If I'd of known!!

Just told the people on my infertility thread feel a fraud now, scared I've upset them!

Rugbylovingmum · 06/05/2012 08:24

Morning Kayz - definitely a mix of both. I'm excited about the baby arriving and I've had enough of the bump/heartburn/SPD etc but I'm quite nervous about recovering from the surgery with a toddler. DD loves climbing all over us and being picked up for cuddles but hopefully she'll understand she has to be a bit gentle with mummys poorly tummy Hmm. I'm also worrying a bit about looking after 2 and making sure DD still gets lots of attention/doesn't feel left out.

BB - don't worry about the people on your infertility thread, you've not had a straightforward time and I'm sure they are really pleased for you. I'd go to the docs earlier if you can just so you can get a scan booked etc - hopefully they will get it booked in for 11-12 weeks if you go now (and it always feels much more real after the first scan doesn't it) but if you don't see them until 10-11 weeks you might have longer to wait. That might just be me though, I'm not very patient Blush.

McKayz · 06/05/2012 08:24

I've had camembert while pregnant. Its fine if cooked. Plus loads of people drink and smoke etc before knowing they are pregnant.

BBisTitanium · 06/05/2012 08:39

Thanks guys, it doesn't feel real at all especially as dp is being a bit funny... It's how he was with A.. He isn't excited I think he's a bit scared. But he won't talk about it! I will call the doctors on Monday hopefully and ask for the appointment to be moved to get things moving! Dp doesn't want me to tell anyone, I know that's sensible but I want to tell the world haha! I shall be good and have no more bad things! I had gest diabetes with A, so I'm guessing they will want to test for that too, sounds silly but I don't even care I'm just so Grin

Rugby not long! I think all parents worry, I will be certainly haha, of dates are correct A will be 38 months

BB - WOW!!!!! That is just brilliant news :) :) :)
I agree with Rugby and am the impatient type that would go and see GP/MW sooner.
:) :) :)

Rugby - having those same worries here. I keep telling myself that loads of women have a CS with their second and they manage so I should be fine. Might take it a day at a time to begin with though!

Morning Kayz and anyone else about!

I'm feeling rubbish. Eye infection in both eyes and a cold :( Mayve my body has a new strategy - if I'm like this Tuesday, they won't want to admit me because of all my germs!

BBisTitanium · 06/05/2012 08:50

Haha ses as much as eye infections are yuck I love the idea that your body is making a plan! I will be hoping for an ELCS, as had EmcS with A, not sure what guidelines are but will be pushing as was so knackered last time (26 hr labour 14 hours established) and it ended in a section so thinking cut out the middle man and get home sooner haha! Also will be taking formula in case, will def give up bf I it doesn't go right, at least until I get home, as with A I realised your priority is getting outta there lol!

McKayz · 06/05/2012 08:54

As much as I would hate a CS (don't do needles, hospitals etc) the knowing you are going to have your baby on X day really sounds appealing to me. Especially as my Dad is coming up for a week to help me out.

Ses Yuck to eye infections!!!

BBisTitanium · 06/05/2012 09:00

I really enjoyed my whole labour was laughing and joking the whole way through, when I got to the c section they were fiddling in my back... And my leg shot out and kicked dp in the nuts!! The anesthetist said that how they knew it had worked hahaha Grin

Rugbylovingmum · 06/05/2012 09:15

I'm not looking forward to the c-section but I'm not dreading it either. Obviously I'd rather not have surgery but it wasn't awful last time and everyone says an elective is better than an emergency section. It's the recovery I'm concerned about and not being able to do things with DD. Luckily I'll have lots of help at first. My dad is here and DP is off work for the first week, SIL here the week after, then DP has another week off and then mum is staying for a week. It's def a benefit of knowing the date Kayz, I've had help organised well in advance.

Ses - poor you! I hope the eye infection clears up quickly. LOL at your body plotting to stay out of hospital Grin.

Right, I'd better go and get dressed. I'm taking DD to Peppa Pig Live this morning. Should be fun Hmm.

Starshinetiger · 06/05/2012 09:18

Congratulations BB - fantastic news! If you have a longer than average cycle and ovulate later than the common 10-14 days after period, is perfectly possible today you got BFN on 10 April and BFP now. Think it often takes the man longer to adjust to the news. Enjoy every second of the excitement Grin
Ses - sorry you are feeling poorly, but your theory did make me chuckle!
Rugby - so exciting it is so soon - am sure DD will adjust well and she will still be able to snuggle next to you with DC2 cuddling you too.

BBisTitanium · 06/05/2012 09:22

Thanks star Grin well not tht I'm obsessed I just peed on my last cheapy off the web - the cheap strip dip tests, with non FMU and it was still positive! Eek! So will be calling docs mon Smile

McKayz · 06/05/2012 09:24

Hehehe I am so pleased and excited for you!!!

I do love a good honk Grin

BBisTitanium · 06/05/2012 10:18

Ironically when I did the test and the lines came up my first thought was HONK haha! Grin
